Savage must pay for toilet incident

[Reuters]

LONDON -- Midfielder Robbie Savage was found guilty of improper conduct by the English Football Association on Friday for using the referee's toilet before a premier league match in April.

The Welsh international was reprimanded, warned as to his future conduct and fined $15,350 plus costs at the hearing called to consider the incident before a match between his former club Leicester City and Aston Villa on April 20.

Referee Graham Poll included the incident in his report to the FA a couple of days after the drawn game.

FA rules state that players are not allowed to enter the official's room without permission.

The 27-year-old, who has since joined newly-promoted premier league club Birmingham City, had been fined two weeks wages by Leicester.
