Unable to secure a big name in the aftermath of his knockout of Paul Williams, Martinez put on a show against the defensive-minded Dzinziruk, an unbeaten junior middleweight champion. Martinez recorded five knockdowns against a fighter who had never been down as an amateur or professional, closing out an impressive showing with an eighth-round TKO in Mashantucket, Conn.
