The November 1952 cover of The Ring magazine featured an illustration of Archie Moore, arms outstretched, running after a winged crown that hovers tantalizingly just out of reach. The crown represented the light heavyweight title, which the soon-to-be 36-year-old Moore had been chasing for years. The headline read "Why Is Moore Poison?"
