Rafael Nadal upset at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. -- Defending champion Rafael Nadal was upset in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open on Monday, losing to Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5).

Nadal staged a furious rally in the third after trailing 5-2. He won three straight games, including a break of Dolgopolov, to tie it up. Both players held serve to send the match into the tiebreaker.
