'Deal' leads all the way in Dixie

BALTIMORE -- Strike a Deal had been a high-class turf horse at 2, 3, and 4, earning more than $932,000, but his form went badly awry at 5, when he earned nothing in three dismal starts.

So when the horse returned Saturday to make his debut as a 6-year-old in the Grade 2, $200,000 Dixie Stakes at Pimlico, it was understandable that horseplayers dismissed him at 14-1.
