New coach, better results?

As each NHL team has reached the quarter pole of the schedule, some have seized the opportunity to make some changes, especially those not performing up to expectations. The St. Louis Blues fired head coach Davis Payne on Nov. 6, replacing him with Ken Hitchcock, and the team promptly went 7-1-2 after the switch; in the process, he saved Jaroslav Halak's season (while Brian Elliott has continued his strong play).
