In what's become a troubling tradition this season -- at least from a human interest standpoint -- another NHL head coach lost his job just prior to this column going live. First it was Ken Hitchcock taking over the St. Louis Blues. Shortly thereafter, it was Dale Hunter getting the Washington Capitals gig, and the Carolina Hurricanes hiring Kirk Muller on the same day.
