Luis Suarez makes partial slur apology
LONDON -- Liverpool's Luis Suarez issued a partial public apology for the first time on Wednesday for racially abusing Patrice Evra, without expressing regret for offending the Manchester United defender.
The Uruguayan forward was banned for eight matches and fined 40,000 pounds ($62,000) for calling Evra "Negro" or "Negros" seven times in October during a 1-1 draw at Anfield.
