A new sheriff at the Meadowlands

When the 2012 racing season begins at the Meadowlands Friday night there will be a new track operator and a new way of doing things.

After being run by the state of New Jersey since its inception, the Meadowlands is now being operated by Jeff Gural, a commercial real estate developer who has vowed to run a squeaky clean meet free of the type of shenanigans that have long plagued the sport.
