ATP forms new competition council

NEW YORK -- Richard Krajicek, the 1996 Wimbledon champion, is one of six members of the ATP's new competition committee, which will recommend possible changes to men's professional tennis.

The committee will advise the ATP Board of Directors, the men's tour said Friday.

ATP executive chairman Brad Drewett said he wants to "explore new and creative ideas for enhancing the competition and presentation of the sport."
