Danedream likely out of Arc
Danedream, winner of last year's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, might not be able to contest this year's running Oct. 7 because of an outbreak of a serious equine disease in Cologne, Germany. A horse at the same racing center as the 4-year-old filly tested positive for equine infectious anemia, also known as swamp fever, according to the Racing Post. Danedream is trained by Peter Schiergen.
All horses stabled around the German course were placed in lockdown the night of Oct. 1.
