FIFA details how $1.2B development money spent
ZURICH -- FIFA has published details of who has shared more than $1.2 billion of development funding during Sepp Blatter's presidency since 1998.
The move toward greater financial transparency comes after longstanding criticism that FIFA paid too little attention to how funding was allocated and spent, and that some money helped buy future political favor.
FIFA says a new online application on its website gives "a global perspective on all development initiatives implemented by FIFA."
