Yoan Pablo Hernandez injures hand

Cruiserweight titleholder Yoan Pablo Hernandez broke his left hand during a sparring session, forcing his defense against Eric Fields to be called off Thursday, promoter Sauerland Event announced.

Hernandez (27-1, 13 KOs), a southpaw, was slated to make his third title defense against Oklahoma's Fields (21-1, 15 KOs) at Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin, Germany on Feb. 2.
