Pablo Cesar Cano too sick to fight
Welterweight contender Pablo Cesar Cano of Mexico was diagnosed with severe flu and a high fever on Thursday, forcing him to withdraw from his fight against Manuel Perez, Golden Boy Promotions announced.
Cano (25-2-1, 19 KOs), 23, of Mexico, and Perez (19-8-1, 4 KOs), 28, of Denver, were due to meet in the scheduled 10-round main event of the "Golden Boy Live" card at the Grand Oasis Resort in Cancun, Mexico, on Saturday night.
