Rodman delivers crowd, publicity and win for Brighton

BRIGHTON, England -- Dennis Rodman justified his pay for a
one-game appearance by helping the Brighton Bears of the British
Basketball League to a victory before a capacity crowd on Saturday.
Rodman was reportedly paid $44,000 by Brighton's sponsors for
the one-game contract, and the former NBA star finished with seven
rebounds and four points.
A five-time NBA champion with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls, he signed the deal shortly after being evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother television reality show in Britain.
Brighton beat the Guildford Heat 91-88 and is sixth in the
11-team standings. The game drew 1,500 fans and 60 journalists.
