MLS All-Star First XI announced
Landon Donovan was named to his 12th straight All-Star Game on Sunday, setting an MLS record.
The MLS All-Stars will face reigning European champions Chelsea on July 25 in Chester, Pa. The "First XI," announced Sunday, was chosen by fan vote.
Donovan's Los Angeles Galaxy teammate David Beckham and New York Red Bulls star Thierry Henry were also voted to play in the match.
Sporting Kansas City leads all teams with three players: goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, defender Aurelien Collin and midfielder Graham Zusi.
All-Star coach Ben Olsen of D.C. United will select the starters for the match.
The rest of the roster will be announced July 15 on ESPN.

Defenders: Steven Beitashour (San Jose Earthquakes), Aurelien Collin (Sporting Kansas City), Jay DeMerit (Vancouver Whitecaps FC), Heath Pearce (New York Red Bulls)
Midfielders: David Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Dwayne De Rosario (D.C. United), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)
