Peru takes 3rd place in Copa America

LA PLATA, Argentina -- Paolo Guerrero scored three goals and set up another Saturday, leading Peru past Venezuela 4-1 for third place in Copa America.

Guerrero set up William Chiroque's goal in the 42nd minute. He then scored in the 64th and 89th minutes and two minutes into stoppage time.

Venezuela's lone goal came in the 77th minute by Juan Fernando Arango. It was forced to play a man down in the 58th minute when midfielder Tomas Rincon was sent off for a hard sliding tackle.

Uruguay and Paraguay will play in Sunday's final. Host Argentina and defending champion Brazil were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
