Kolo Toure fined 6 weeks' wages
MANCHESTER, England -- Kolo Toure has been fined six weeks' wages by Manchester City over the failed doping test that led to the Ivory Coast defender's six-month suspension from soccer.
"Kolo accepts the decision and he and the club now wish to draw a line under this matter and focus on the season ahead," a Manchester City statement said.
Toure has played five times since his suspension ended Sept. 2 for taking what he said were his wife's diet pills. He has made two substitute appearances for the leaders in the Premier League this season.
