Snow hits Italy, scrambling schedule
ROME -- Snow has struck Italian soccer again.
Inter Milan's Serie A game at Roma on Saturday was postponed to Sunday because of a rare snowstorm in the capital. It began snowing in Rome near midday Friday and the cobblestone streets were covered with slush, prompting police to delay the game until Sunday afternoon.
Saturday's other match, Cesena vs. Catania, was also postponed, with 2 feet of snow having fallen at Dino Manuzzi Stadium. No makeup date has been announced.
Six games have been postponed this week because of the ongoing snowstorm in central and northern Italy.
