Arsenal vs. Man City set for Bird's Nest
LONDON -- Arsenal will play Manchester City on the day of the London Olympics opening ceremony -- in the main 2008 Beijing Games stadium.
The Premier League rivals' exhibition match in the Bird's Nest will kick off July 27 at 8 p.m. local time, which will be lunchtime in England.
Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis says it is "fitting that two English clubs are playing each other on the opening day of the London 2012 Olympics, in the stadium which hosted Beijing 2008 Olympic Games."
The opening ceremony in the London Olympic Stadium is set to begin at 8:12 p.m. local time.
