Hewitt has the advantage of the home crowd

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Aussie Lleyton Hewitt reached his first quarterfinal at the Australian Open after a five-set battle with Spanish teen Rafael Nadal.

He'll face an Argentine, No. 9 seed David Nalbandian, with a lingering injury that could be a factor. Still, he should ultimately overcome Nalbandian -- especially with the help of the home crowd -- a la Alicia Molik and Venus Williams.

But the ATP trainer better make sure Hewitt can go the distance, as well. It could be a long day at the office.

No. 26 Nikolay Davydenko, Russia, vs. No. 2 Andy Roddick, United States

Roddick had a messy fourth-round match, but in the quarterfinals, he'll put it together.
