BOGOTA, Colombia -- Top-seeded Flavia Pennetta was upset by Argentine qualifier Betina Jozami 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 in the Copa Colsanitas first round on Tuesday.

Pennetta won her fifth career title on Sunday in Vina del Mar, Chile, without dropping a set and had a 14-4 record in Bogota, where she won the title in 2005.

Jozami, ranked 278th, qualified for her first draw on the main WTA Tour.

Paraguay veteran Rossana de los Rios also ousted fourth-seeded Emilie Loit of France 7-5, 6-3.

De los Rios made the draw after losing in qualifying when scheduled eighth seed Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic withdrew after injuring her ankle in the final on Sunday at Vina del Mar. She met Loit for the first time.
