Vote: SportsNation's Team USA

 Richard Hamilton and Kobe Bryant
Would you select Richard Hamilton and Kobe Bryant for Team USA?
After a disappointing 2004 Olympics in Athens, USA Basketball is focused on returning to its previous international dominance. And for the first time since Team USA decided to utilize professional players, a college coach will be leading the way. Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski will attempt to turn things around, starting eight months from now at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.

It will be interesting to see how the roster is selected. National Team managing director Jerry Colangelo has already begun discussions with players from around the NBA, gauging their interest in making the mandatory three-year commitment that comes with being a national team member. Much has been said about the 2004 team having too many stars and the lack of well-defined roles.

So, we're giving you a say, SportsNation. We're asking you which players you would like to see on the U.S. National Team that begins competition next summer? SportsNation's Team USA roster will feature two point guards, two shooting guards, two small forwards, two power forwards, two centers, one shooting specialist and one lockdown defender.

Just check the box next to each of your choices to submit your 12-man U.S. National Team roster.
