Vote: American League Rawlings Gold Gloves

With the St. Louis Cardinals celebrating their World Series title, it's time to turn our attention to award season! And while this year's Fall Classic may not have been a defensive showstopper, it did feature several players that are up for the greatest honor a fielder can hope for - a Rawlings Gold Glove Award.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the award and Rawlings has something special planned to celebrate the occasion. A panel of baseball historians and experts - including those who played, managed, governed and reported on the game - will set the ballot for the All-Time Rawlings Gold Glove Golden Anniversary Team: 50 players, several at each position. The ballot will be revealed and turned over to the fans during Spring Training for a national vote. The all-time team will be revealed during next year's All-Star break.

But right now we are interested in which players were the best of the best at their position in 2006. Cast your votes below and see how your opinion stacks up to the rest of SportsNation! Then tune in to ESPNEWS on Thursday and Friday of this week for the official announcement of the winners.
