It's tough to top a Pro Football Hall of Fame class that includes the league's all-time leader in rushing yards, Emmitt Smith, and its all-time leader in receiving yards, Jerry Rice (not to mention all the other records they hold). But the folks in Canton won't shut down after this year's inductions. So who deserves a nod in 2011?
The official selectors will have their say this winter, but as the pro football world prepares to celebrate the start of a new season by honoring legends of old, we're seeking your take on who deserves a similar spotlight next year.
Hall of Fame classes may include no more than five modern-era candidates, so vote for your five (or fewer) below. Those listed include finalists from 2010 who did not gain induction, as well as players eligible for the first time in 2011. What would your ballot look like?
