THE PULSE (11:30 AM)
We'll be keeping an eye out for your Duke-Texas comments, of course. What do you think of this No.1 vs. No. 2 matchup? Who will win? Are these teams overrated??
Zack (Canton, Ohio)
Duke overrated? Are you kidding me?Other than that, being a huge Buckeye fan myself, this has to be the greatest edition of The Pulse.AJ, good luck against The Irish, bring home the W!Archie and Eddie, you guys are legends around here and will never be forgotten. Thanks for everything you brought to Columbus!
Ari (Cedarhurst, NY)
I'm a huge Duke fan, but I must admit this is the first time in a long time that i can remember being so worried over a non-conference game. Texas is strong on all sides of the ball and has the explosiveness to get it done. But hopefully, Duke's PTPers will show up when it matters and put my dukies on top and keep them number one without needing a half-court miracle to do it.
Ryan Webb (Chapel Hill )
Over the last weeks since the start of the college basketball season there have been some suprises, but none bigger than Duke's seeming inability to defend agianst most of the teams they have played --including much less talented teams such as Va Tech, Boston U, Drexel, Indiana and Penn.
Billy (Huntington, IN)
Duke is overrated. It took a half-court shot for them to beat Va. Tech at Cameron. That says enough.
Patrick (Austin, TX)
Coach K will have Duke ready for a big game like this. Texas has not done very well in atmospheres like the one they will be in today. And if Texas starts going trigger happy on the 3's, it could be a long day if they are not hitting them...
Ronny (NY)
This is going to be Duke's year, they got everything!
Ben (Fairfield, CT)
Hey patrick, how about Duke who just chucks up threes all game long and usually doesnt hit them when Redick's being guarded by a bigger man like PJ Tucker. Redick is the easiest player to shut down in the NCAA because he has abseloutly no chance vs. bigger guards. And Shelden will be dominated by Lamarcus in the post just like how Marco Killinsworth dominated him. Shelden will pick up 3 fouls in the first half and will foul out with 8 minutes left not giving Duke any chance.
Joe (IL)
Duke by 13
THE PULSE (1:00 PM)
It's 1 o'clock -- here we go!
Scott (Dayton)
Both Duke and Texas are overrated! Give me UConn vs. Villanova ? the REAL 1-2 matchup!
Brian (Corry, PA)
When I think of Duke, I think of perfection
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
Forget Duke, Villanova's gonna get back that '85 magic this year in college hoops and win it all...
David (NY)
Duke wins on a last-second, half court shot and they deserve to stay in the top spot?? They certainly would've dropped had that shot not gone in. I don?t understand why they stay No. 1 simply because they got lucky!
Mark (Boston)
Why is Duke still ranked #1... and more importantly how can 25 out of 31 coaches say that they are the best team in the country?? Their last five games have been narrow wins by less than impressive teams (aside from Memphis) including one they should have lost at home. UConn and Texas have been much more impressive so far this season.
Brian Karp (Denver, CO)
After Texas and Duke make each other look bad, will the polls start giving UConn some love as the #1 team in the nation? It's not like they have beat two Top-10 teams in two days, or anything ? oh wait, they did that!
THE PULSE (1:08 PM)
Great comments guys, you were just on TV! I told you, you send 'em in, we use 'em on air!
stacy georgetown ky
not so fast my non duke friend in dayton , uconn is ovrerated!!!
Ken MI
Final Four PredictionsDuke, Villanova, UCONN, MSU
Dustin (Hurley, VA)
Duke should roll today. J.J. struggle against Carney from Memphis, but hasnt struggled against the other guards that have guarded him. Expect a big day from #4 today!
paul tentindo (boston, ma)
that duke is perfection thing just made me throw up in my mouth
tom* (parkville, md)
Okay, maybe Duke and Texas shouldn't be 1 and 2. I still think it'll be a great game. Go 'Horns! Beat those Blue Devils!
Eric (Buffalo,NY)
Oh boy more on Duke
ac (tx)
j.j is isnt gonna get a single point in this game he might get at least 15 points though
Trevor (Raleigh, North Carolina)
Why does everyone think that Duke is so great. They almost lost to Virginia Tech and Memphis. Duke has to be the most overated team this year.
Shawn (Lima, Ohio)
Jay Bilas What are Ohio State's chances to win the Big Ten this year and next year with the "Thad Five"?
Tom (Seattle, WA))
Any thoughts about how the UW Huskies will do now that they've cleared one huge obstacle (Gonzaga), they get Mike Jensen back in less than two weeks, and the PAC-10 has looked less than impressive thus far... PAC-10 champs?
TJ (Manhattan KS)
So how long until Cartier Martin and Kansas State start getting some props for being the best player, on the best team in Kansas?
THE PULSE (1:18 PM)
Great questions guys, we'll ask Jay on-air now!
THE PULSE (1:19 PM)
Next up, we'll need questions for AJ Hawk, Paul Posluszny and DeMeco Ryans! Send 'em now!!
Vince (Columbus, Ohio)
A.J. Hawk we surely love you here in Columbus and good luck against the Irish make sure and Brady Quinn remembers the night he played the Buckeye defense!
Tony Smith (Mobile, Alabama)
Why is the heisman voting always pointing toward a quarterback or a running back? Other positions should at least be mentioned. I would think guys like A.J. Hawk and DeMeco Ryans names should be mentioned. They might not be able to make breakaway plays but they can definitly change the course of a game. Thanks
Jacob (Oregon)
Hey guys, who do you think should play Ohio State? C'mon! Isn't Nortre Dame overrated???
Brandon Philadelphia, PA
A.J. Hawk>> How hard was it to tackle future heisman winner of 2006 Vince Young in your game against texas?
Dana Polch (Orwell, Ohio)
A.J. Hawk you are the best defensive player in college football hands down. You got robbed out of the Bednarik and they'll see that when you destroy the Irish
Andrew (Flushing, NY)
I think Brady Quinn will remember that he got the Buckeyes defense good because he is going to win.
THE PULSE (1:26 PM)
Fun tidbit for you guys -- AJ Hawk is dating Brady Quinn's sister.
Troy Smith (Ohio)
A.J. Hawk, you are the best defensive player in college football. It is said that defensive players don't get any recognition for the Heisman, cause players like you should!
Trevor (Raleigh, North Carolina)
I think that the Heisman should be going to A.J. Hawk or Paul Posluszny. I mean Reggie Bush is a great running back but I think that USC could do without him and still succeed.
THE PULSE (1:27 PM)
Wow Trev, giving the Heisman to two guys who aren't even invited to the ceremony. Bold.
Tony Smith (Mobile, Alabama)
Why is the Heisman voting always pointing toward a quarterback or a running back? Other positions should at least be mentioned. I would think guys like A.J. Hawk and DeMeco Ryans names should be mentioned. They might not be able to make breakaway plays but they can definitely change the course of a game.
THE PULSE (1:29 PM)
You're on, Tony!
Jacob (Oregon)
Hey guys, who do you think should play Ohio State? C'mon! Isn't Nortre Dame overrated???
THE PULSE (1:30 PM)
You're on Jacob!
Arec (Bloomington, IN)
Notre Dame is NOT overrated. They are playing in exactly the game a number 6 BCS team should be.
Dana Polch (Orwell, Ohio)
A.J. Hawk i guess will have a lot to talk about around family get togethers because he is going to tear Brady Quinn up!
andrew biloxi mississippi
I want to know why brady quinn was not even ivited the heismen presentation? He has better numbers than vince young and matt linhert.
Dave (Buckeyeland)
Overrated or not, Notre Dame is going down hard to the Buckeyes!
Colin (,Ohio)
Dave, brady is gonna tear apart ohio state, the buckeyes are the overrated team and they are gonna get smashed by the irish.
Jeff (Syracuse(
Notre Dame is a dangerous team led by a great coach and quarterback. Look out Ohio State!
wanw (paternoville)
You all talk about the ohio state and ND. How about Penn State?? i feel that florida state psu is a terrible matchup. how about that bcs boof.
Evan LePage(Cincinnati, Ohio)
in your opinion who is better? AJ Hawk from OSU or Paul Posluszny from PSU?
Dana Polch (Orwell, Ohio)
All you have to say about A.J. Hawk is he is a beast!
E.J.(Southbury,CT)
Defensive players get no Heisman hype or respect. A.J. Hawk desirves it. I know how nasty Bush's moves are or Youngs show stopping plays but c' mon.
THE PULSE (1:44 PM)
How about some questions and comments for two-time Heisman winner Archie Griffin??
Ryan (Winnebago, IL)
Nobody will ever win the Heisman twice again, Archie was one of a kind.
Ryan (Holley)
Archie, Who would be your choice for Heisman this year?
Pete (Dallas)
Archie, you deserve two votes!!
A (Vancouver, Wash)
Archie, with no disrespect to Woody
THE PULSE (1:48 PM)
You're on TV, A!
Mike Zempter (Athens, Ohio)
How often do you think about that first breakout game you had at Ohio State?
THE PULSE (1:49 PM)
Your turn, Mike!
Kieith (Columbus)
Archie- what do you think about both Mack Brown lobbying for Young to win the Heisman? Is that in good taste??
THE PULSE (1:50 PM)
You're on with Archie, Kieith!
Carlisle (Ohio)
Saying nobody will ever win the heisman twice again is a little extreme. College football still has THOUSANDS of years to be played. I'm sure within that time another Archie Griffin will emerge. But still Archie is the greatest fro being the first one to do it.
THE PULSE (1:51 PM)
Great stuff for Archie, guys. Great stuff!
THE PULSE (1:53 PM)
Alright, I'm going to open up the floor to your Heisman comments now.
Tyler (Louisiana)
I know for a fact that Vince Young should be the Heisman Winner. Without Young, Texas would not be an undefeated team. Young is a difference maker that make things happen with what he has around him. Dont get me wrong, Reggie Bush is a great athlete, but he also has great talent around him. You can take Bush out of a game and you still have Lendell White as your running back. Also they have Matt Leinhart as QB and great receivers. SO, Vince Young should be the Heisman Winner
Jimmie Tarapaski (Victoria,BC)
Reggie Bush is the complete package he is an nfl teams dream back mark my words when it's all said and done he will be the best back to ever play the game.Reggie Bush for president.Vince Young sure he's good and helps his offence put points on the board a lot of points but what else can i say.Reggie Bush for president!he will win the heisman.Vince Young will end up being another Donovan McNabb chokes in the big game just wait.
Champaign, IL
How do we compare Vince Young vs Reggie Bush? Its just not fair to do such a thing!Reggie Bush has Matt Leinart and many (well known offensive options) but who else has said anything else about texas's offense other than about Vince
Jeff (MN)
I'd give the Heisman to Young or Leinart. Without Bush, USC would have LenDale White to carry the rushing load. But withouyt those QBs, the teams wouldn't face eachother in the Rose Bowl!! So give it to either Vince or Matt!
Arec (Bloomington, IN)
I love Reggie Bush, but I heard someone make a great comment today. L.White proves that the USC line makes both of them better. BUSH is great and will be a good pro, but that line IS semi-pro all ready. I really think Brady and at least one more guy should have been invited to the ceremony.
Austin (Pasadena,California)
Sure, Vince Young had a good year, but there's no doubt in my mind that Reggie Bush deserves the Heisman Trophy. He is arguably the most electrifying player in college football history. What do you guys think?
Mr. L (OH)
I don't see how Reggie Bush can't win it. He's got the talent, leadership, and his team is going for a 3peat in Pasadena.
Oliver (San Francisco, California)
Reggie Bush wins for sure! There is no contest. Some scouts are calling this man the best RB out of college all time! Theres no chance for Vince and Matt
Billy Louisiana
The Heisman is for the best player in the country, not the most valuable to their team, and Reggie Bush is the best player in the country period.
Ty Salisbury
Reggie Bush,Matt Lienert,USC.All over rated, give Vince Young some credit look at what he has done this season. He's been benched in the 3rd quarter. He could have easily had 500 and even 600 yard passing games.
Mora(Ohio)
There is no doubt that Reggie Bush should win the Heisman. I mean Vince did do a lot of amazing things but Reggie was more explosive and did more when coming to ranked teams and he just teared things up at the end of the year. Reggie Bush is going to be your 2005 Heisman winner because he deserves to win it.
tom* (parkville, md)
Anyone who thinks Vince Young chokes in the big game didn't watch the last Rose Bowl. If you did, you'd never forget it and would know VY isn't a choker.
Jeff (MN)
Next year, i say that LenDale and Brady Quinn battle it out for Heisman.
Oliver (San Francisco, California)
All you Vince supporters have good points, but a Heisman contestant should not have votes taken away form him just because he has an excelent backup behind him
Jay Hornish Lost Wages. Nevada
First of all I don't understand why there isn't two more invited to the Heisman Awards Ceremony. (A.J. and Brady) should be there. How do you guys feel?
Ross (Carbondale, Illinois)
http://www.collegehumor.com/hotlinks/go to this link and scroll down to the middle of the December 2nd, 2005 list. In the middle of the list you'll see the Reggie bush high school highlight tape......you should highly consider airing this on the show
THE PULSE (2:03 PM)
I've seen that before, Ross. Anybody who hasn't should check out that link, Reggie was running all over poor little adolescents!
Sean Wheaton, IL
Doesn't Reggie Bush have the pass protection of Matt Leinart? Vince Young doesn't have the run protection or as many offensive weapons.
Tommy Insley (Baton Rouge, LA)
Heisman: Reggie vs. Vince. I have to ask what would USC and Texas be without these two players. USC would probably have lost at least one of those close games while Texas (playing in a weak conference) would probably still be undefeated. I would vote for Reggie Bush - USC running back!
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
Reggie Bush gets an early Christmas present tonight...
THE PULSE (2:05 PM)
Alright, let's switch gears and talk a little college hoops. Duke - Texas comments, anyone?
Andrew J. Maas(Deshler,oh)
Duke,Uconn,Texas, all over rated I say go Buckeyes ,and yes I'm sober
Oliverr (Palo Alto, California)
Hey, wait until somebody beats Duke or Texas before you call them overrated.
Erik (San Dimas, CA)
Right now Duke is just getting lucky
Erik (San Dimas, CA)
Hook 'em Horn
Cody (Cincinnati)
I'm a tarheel, and i hate duke, but do you really think texas can stop J.J Reddick?
Danny (Las Vegas)
Uconn is playing like the can beat anybody, even Duke, again
Josh (Pittsburgh,PA)
Duke Wins 82-79.JJ Redick 31 points...Duke has too many weapons...and Texas has played an easy scedule this year and been pounding team like the football Trojans but they won't do it vs. Duke
Ryan Webb (Chapel Hill)
With more than half of the devils' scoring coming from a streaky JJ Redick and Sheldon Williams, this team seems either very overated or just not coming to play, the latter no being a typical Coach K charecterstic. Texas, being a team with speed, talent and depth shouldnt have a horrible time handeling Duke, assuming no extremely lucky breaks come the devils' way through either the refs or half ourt shots. What do you think?
Arec (Bloomington, IN)
I was at Assembly for that game against Duke. And if anyone calls them overrated they have NOT seen them in person. What an impressive group of kids. And JJ Redick was ubelievable with not only his play but his LEADERSHIP as well. They went down one, he huddled his guys and got them back on track. Very Impressive.
ZL (Ohio)
Duke and Texas are both great. But i don't think there should be all this hype for a college basketball game in mid December.
THE PULSE (2:08 PM)
C'mon ZL, 1 vs. 2. Sure, it's all polling hype, but this is a big deal.
Matt (Ipswich)
If texas wins and gets the 1 spot, and vince young were to get lucky tonight, i think the state of texas will go nuts
Tiki Bandit (Houston, Texas)
No team will make it through the entire season undefeated, but Duke has a great mix of talent with veteran leadership as well as young stars in the making, esp at PG
Zach (Houston)
Texas nor Duke are overrated. They both have one of the best frontcourts and backcourts in the nation. Both teams can run the floor with the best of them. There is no way Uconn or Nova should be ranked ahead of them.
Ben (Fairfield, CT)
UConn is the real #1 team. Both Texas and Duke should have losses as Texas should have lost to WVU and Duke should have lost to VT. Both teams are unranked with 3 losses right now too.
Danny (Las Vegas)
Wait for April in the championship
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
How can duke still be number 1 they beat unranked virgina tech on a 40 foot last second shot.
Arec (Bloomington, IN)
DUKE IU was in November and it wasn't 1 versus 2 and it was unbelievable here. I wouldn't have traded that experience for the world. So don't tell me about early season games not meaning anything.
Sean (Wheaton, IL)
The game is a big deal, even though it is mid-december. Uconn i do belive is the better team though.
Arec (Bloomington, IN)
Barley winning and winning are the same thing.
THE PULSE (2:14 PM)
Good point, Arec. All the same in the books.
THE PULSE (2:14 PM)
How 'bout some comments for Mr. Ronnie Lott! Any Ronnie fans in here?
ZL (Ohio)
Arec i dont blame you for loving the Duke IU game because it was fast paces and thrilling. But you only liked it so much because Indiana doesn't have a football team. OSU does so it's hard to be too interested in b-ball when there are still things to be settles on the gridiron.
THE PULSE (2:17 PM)
Them's fightin' words!
Matt (Ipswich)
Ronnie Lott was one of the most underated DB's IMO.
Sean (Wheaton, IL)
Ronnie Lott was great. His USC career was overshadowed by his four superbowl rings, but i think he was a better safety at USC.
Abner (FLORIDA)
thats true
Tim (Boston)
Ronnie Lott is maybe the only guy that could catch Reggie Bush!!
Patrick (LA, CA)
Tell the 49ers to draft Reggie Bush, Ronnie!
Oliver (San Francisco, California)
Sean i respect your opinion, but there is no way that Ronnie was better at USC than in the NFL
THE PULSE (2:22 PM)
Great Heisman comments, SportsNation. I hope you guys are watching ESPNews! You're on TV!
Bobby Savannah, GA
Vince Young touches the ball every single play. Reggie Bush does just as much if not more than Vince Young in fewer touches. If Bush had the touches that Young gets there would be no question who the winner should be.
Spencer Kushner (San Juan Capistrano, California)
Reggie Bush is a magician. I've got to hand it to Vince Young, because he's a great player. But Reggie pulls moves at the colloseum that Vince couldn't even think of in his sleep. Reggie has secured the heisman tonight in New York. Go Trojans! Fight On!
Jesse (Houston, TX)
What I see in Reggie Bush is a track star with a great offensive line. He makes great cuts and can put somebody on the ground with his moves, but if you were to switch him and a back like Adrian Peterson, Laurence Maroney or DeAngelo Williams, you would Still have a heisman candidate out of USC, and a down year for Reggie Bush behind a line like Oklahoma's. On the other hand, Vince Young has taken a much less experienced team in Texas and led them to become champions, regardless of how good each will do in the NFL, Vince Young has already won the Big Game (See: UT 45 - OU 12, and UT 70 - Colorado 3). Who will win the Heisman : Reggie Bush Who SHOULD win the Heisman : Vince Young.
Danny (Las Vegas)
Any Mlb news coming up next?
THE PULSE (2:32 PM)
Heck yes, Jayson Stark will be here at 2:40. Ten minutes!
the A-Train(Motown,mi)
Baseball! Who cares about baseball! Everybody knows that football is the real american pastime!
THE PULSE (2:57 PM)
Alright, well, you're in luck. After this NBA bite, we'll bring you Eddie George on The Pulse. How about some comments?
THE PULSE (2:58 PM)
Hey, by the way, is anybody watching Duke romp Texas -- we're looking for some comments on this one.
Danny (Las Vegas,Nevada)
Right now Duke is in control by 23. They preety much have this wrapped up
Trevor (Raleigh, North Carolina)
I think that Duke is getting lucky and Texas is having a bad game. Once Duke plays UNC they won't be winning!
THE PULSE (3:00 PM)
Spoken like a true Tar Heel, Trevor.
Oliver (San Francisco)
Well well well, now we see that Duke is not overrated. They have the talent, the coaching, and most important, the determinationDevils '06!
Josh (H-town)
When Reddick shoots like this, no team can beat them. Texas has played pretty good D on him, but no one has stepped up offensively to keep them in the game.
Bryan (Long Island, New York)
Duke is just outplaying texas in every way... Texas a 3 big man team is not using that to their advantage in the post, Sheldon Williams is taking care of business... Texas let this one slip away by not slowing down and figuring out what they needed to do when they were down... Go Heels!!!
Sandy (Plainfield, IL.)
Duke is so good and experienced, it should have been expected that they will play well in this type of game
Alex (Brooklyn NY)
Duke just started out strong and that's how it goes. Texas just didn't have a good day.
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
J.J Redick has 36 points and still time to go -- that is all you need to know about the way the game is going
Gerard (South Bend)
JJ Redick should be the unanimous player of the year.
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
Eddie is there a chance of you coming back to the Nfl as a player or maybe even as some type of coach?
Danny (Las Vegas,Nevada)
Uconn is still the best
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
The only chance texas had against duke was to shut down j.j when they didnt do they are getting blown out
aj (spokane wa)
get that game over jj takes care of texas yada yada knew that was gonna happen get the zags going gozaga rules and morrison is one of the best players in the country
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
Duke is shooting 58.7 pct from the field and 10-18 behind the arc that offense is to much
Gerard (South Bend)
Wow, Duke will own UNC this year.
stacy in georgetown ky
what is the score to the Duke game any body know thanks?
THE PULSE (3:05 PM)
71-47. OUCH.
Bryan (Long Island, New York)
This game did not play up to its hype I was real excited for this one and it's letting me down. Watch out when the dookies go to the Dean Dome, that will be a different story.. TyLer Hansbrough is getting it done down there.
Brandon
When is Eddie George coming.
THE PULSE (3:06 PM)
He's coming up next. What do you guys think of Eddie George? Could he come back to the NFL?
Gerard (South Bend)
Sorry Eddie, you had a great career, but you are done. Still, one of the all-time great workhorse running backs.
tom* (parkville, md)
Eddie George? The Lions could use him, the Ravens could use him, etc.
Ronny (Long Island, NY)
Eddie is one of the greatest Titans players of alltime!
lokz (Orosi CAL14NIA)
EDDIE GEORGE HAS 1 MORE SEASON IN HIM
Brandon Memphis,Tn
Eddie will be good if he comes back to the Titans and leads them to a good year next year
James Korycinski (Palm City, Florida)
I think Eddie George should have never left and should have been given more of a chance to start in his ninth year. Awesome running back period.
Oliver (San Francisco)
Eddie George would be a positive asset to any team, he has the experience to help out the youngsters on his team, and his knowledge of the NFL can help his team win
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
I think Eddie could be a decent player but as a coach he could be great and be able to relate to the players
THE PULSE (3:15 PM)
Good stuff for Eddie, SportsNation.
THE PULSE (3:16 PM)
How about JJ right now in that Duke-Texas game. His numbers are absolutely gaudy!
Brandon Memphis,Tn
41 for J.J. in the game against Texas
Denzel ((Tampa,Florida))
Redick has 41 points. Said and DONE.
Brandon Memphis,Tn
J.J has 9 three's
Denzel ((Tampa,Florida))
Yep yep those are my Blue Devils stomping on opponents and showing teams whos boss. JJ Redick is amazing, and he is THE BEST PLAYER IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL. I dont care what ANYBODY says. Texas is not having a bad game they just cant compete with Duke.
Gerard (South Bend)
Which performance is better, Adam Morrison putting 43 on MSU in Maui, or JJ Redick scoring 40 against Texas?
Gerard (South Bend)
Could JJ Redick be a top-10 NBA pick?
THE PULSE (3:18 PM)
Name a Duke player who had a really, really solid NBA career... Hope JJ doesn't go Bobby Hurley on us in the pros.
lokz (Orosi CAL14NIA)
TOP 5 PICK I WOULD SAY
Gerard (South Bend)
Not only is JJ dominating on the scoreboard, he also playing solid defense, this guy is really a complete player.
Ronny (Long Island, NY)
J J Reddick is acting like he's playing a high school team!
Stefan ( Morristown, New Jersey)
The points are nice but what is his shotting percentage
Jeff (MN)
JJ beats Morison and he's going number 1 next year.
Gerard (South Bend)
Grant Hill.
THE PULSE (3:19 PM)
Hurt.
Andy (Raleigh)
Hands down the best player in the country, also keep in mind that they're dominating this game without demarcys nelson....and JJ's performance is more impressive cause morison needed 2 OT's to do it
THE PULSE (3:20 PM)
Tyler in Louisiana -- you're on TV
THE PULSE (3:20 PM)
You too, Oliver in San Fran!
Brandon (Memphis,Tn)
J J is like Shane Battier when he played for Duke exept better
Mark (Washington DC)
Duke might go undefeated with the ACC having a down year.
Ben (Towson, MD)
There is no great Duke NBA player...NONE...EVER.
aj (spokane wa)
morrison has had 25+ in all games this year hes on fire. .... JJ will never go number one!!
Ben (Towson, MD)
JJ is nothing like Shane Battier. Shane was a leader and didn't choke in the tournament. He also played much better defense. JJ has not won any defensive awards and Battier was defensive player of the year 3 years in a row. They are completely different, incomparable players.
Ronny (Long Island, NY)
I think Reddick number 2 behind Aldridge.
Kyle (Cumberland, RI)
Elton Brand has had a pretty go career in the NBA.
Rob (Hickman, Ky)
Who cares about the NBA?
Brandon (Memphis,Tn)
how many points wil J J score in the game
cletis (haviland, ks)
but what about grant hill? he played at duke and was pretty dern good in the nba
Gerard (South Bend)
Pulse, don't forget when Grant Hill carried the Pistons in the late 90's. He was a perrenial MVP candidate.
THE PULSE (3:24 PM)
I didn't forget about Grant -- love him. But he didn't really maximizes with all of those injuries.
Jeff (MN)
True. No Blue Devils have had huge success in the NBA. Laettner is a bust, Hill is too injured. Redick will be great.
James Korycinski (Palm City, Florida)
I really cannot recall any great Duke NBA players. Coach K teaches teamwork, not me! me! me! millionaire ball!
Brandon (Memphis,Tn)
JJ will play really good in the NBA a and be rookie of the year in the NBA next season

THE PULSE (3:27 PM)
It all goes back to UNC v. Duke ... doens't it?
Rob (Hickman, Ky)
Duke - Unc is the best rivalry in college sports
phillip wilkersom (birmingham alabama)
this shows that duke is the best in the country
Gerard (South Bend)
Duke was amazing today, even without Nelson...wait until their bench gets one man deeper, they will be unstoppable.
Adam (East Lansing)
Most people underestimate MSU they would beat Duke with Davis rebounding and Neitzel running the point
Ryan (Richmond, VA)
Adam Morrison will be a better pro than JJ. He is more of an all around player rather than a pure shooter.
Brandon (Memphis,Tn)
97-66 duke wins and the steal at the end of the game
Andrew (Flushing, NY)
For Texas this is an embarassing loss. Go Duke!!!!!!!!!!!
Ronny (LI, NY)
Give UNC two years and they will be better than Duke.
carter (franklin(VA))
wow everyone is still talking smack about jj redick even after he put up 41 against the number 2 team in the country...stop hatin!
Ben (Towson, MD)
Amazing how you all forget that less than a week ago Duke needed a miracle just to beat Virginia Tech. Let's not crown the Dookies champions yet.
