Mozes -- the 285-pounder from Washington, Pa. -- and his Mountaineers tallied a 10-1 record this season, earning them a spot in the 2006 Nokia Sugar Bowl where they will face Georgia. Mozes helped pave the way for West Virginia's rushing offense who averaged 265.5 yards per game to rank fifth nationally.

Welcome to The Show! Dan will be here in a few minutes. Keep sending in those questions!
Dan Mozes (3:31 PM)
Hello to the West Virginia fans ... and also to all the other fans. I hope everybody is coming to the bowl game!
Mike ... Columbia, SC
Dan, first great season for you guys! Being a guy that bleeds blue & gold, I'm sure I speak for all WVU fans in saying thanks to you and the team for a memorable season! What was the most difficult adjustment ou had to make when you moved to center? Go Mountaineers!
Dan Mozes (3:33 PM)
Thanks for the support, Mike. The biggest transition was being able to snap the ball -- I've never done that before in my life, that was a hard thing to learn.
Rick (Dallas)
Great, great season Dan! You and your teammates have made us alumni very proud! After a couple of shaky snaps vs. MD, you look like you've settled in great at center (obviously from the honors that have started pouring in!). How was the transition for you, and are you as comfortable as you look in there? And, please tell us you're going to be with us one more year!!!
Dan Mozes (3:34 PM)
I'm getting a lot more comfortable -- at Maryland, I was really, really nervous. That was really the first serious start I've ever had and I was in a new position.
Jason, Martinsburg
It seems as if this years team has gelled with each other really well as compared to last year. Did the team make it a point to do things off the football field to encourage team unity?
Dan Mozes (3:35 PM)
No, not really anything specific. Just during the summertime, we gelled ... we came together through hardships, through all the running and conditioning of the offseason we really came together.
Mike Sybert-Pittsburgh, PA
Dan-I heard a rumor that you have to have a dozen hot wings from Chik n' Bones before every home game, is this true?
Dan Mozes (3:36 PM)
(laughing) ... That's not true, but I'd love it to be true! I've never eaten there, but I've read the menu and I'm looking forward to it one of these nights!
Erik fairmont wv
Hey dan great session this year. How are you guys approaching this bowl different compared to the last three that our eers were in, is there any pressure sense were o-3 in bowls sense coach rod took over?
Dan Mozes (3:37 PM)
We're just going about the same routine -- hard work and dedication is our motto, so that hasn't changed. We're approaching it like any other game, it will be a tough task to beat this Georgia team, but we're looking forward to going up against a very great opponent.
Mark, Rock Hill, SC
Dan, Everyone is talking about the speed of the Bulldog defense, Have you played against a defense with comparable speed and what adjustments do you have to make to deal with it.
Dan Mozes (3:39 PM)
We've faced teams with great speed like Florida STate last year in the bowl game. We just have to do what we have to do. We're trying to prepare and focus more on ourselves and what we're doing instead of worrying too much about what they're doing.
Greg, Charleston
Dan, whats your thoughts on the dectractors that say the Big East doesn't deserve a BCS bid, its obvious to me that West Virginia and Louisville can hang with and beat the top teams in the country
Adam (Fairfax, Virginia
Dan, First of all congratulations on being picked as an AP All American. My question is do you find it difficult to ignore the media when they talk about the Big East Conference not being BCS worthy? And if you do pay attention to what they say, do their criticisms fuel you and the team to prove something to not only the media but the nation when you play Georgia? Let?s go EERS!
Dan Mozes (3:41 PM)
Thanks for the compliments. As for the mocking of the Big East now that Miami and other powerhouses have left, well, our approach is interesting because, just as the Big East is kind of the underdog in the nation, so are we, the mountaineers, so that is sort of our aspect. Competing as underdogs with powerhouse programs.
Pat, Rochester NY
Congradulations on a great season and being a Rimington finalist. Does this mean your thinking about leaving early for the draft?
Dan Mozes (3:42 PM)
The Remington definitely surprised me, but no, there is no way I'm leaving early for the draft. Simple fact that I need one more year here with the Mountaineers, and I'm looking forward to coming back and having a better season next year than we did this year.
Mike, Charleston
How is WVU preparing for what is essentially a UGA homegame in Atlanta?
Dan Mozes (3:44 PM)
The noise factor is definitely in our gameplan. We've been preparing with simulated crowd noise and our bench guys screaming and yelling while we practice in the indoor facility. But, that's pretty much it, dealing with the noise of the crowd.
Nathan Queen-Charlotte, NC
Do you prefer pass blocking or run blocking?
Dan Mozes (3:44 PM)
Definitely run blocking. With run blocking, you don't have to sit back and have someone else dictate what you're going to do and how you're going to do it.
Scott (Atlanta, GA)
It is obvious that the 4th quarter of the Louisville game was a turning point for the team. Was there an event or adjustment during that game that sparked the rally, or was it just the football gods smiling on West Virginia at that point?
Dan Mozes (3:46 PM)
I think it was a little bit of both, Scott. A little luck, but once we had the momentum, and the tide rolling our way in our home stadium, we had great success. I think the gods were surely helping us out, but I think it was a little bit of our own doing too.
Evan
Since this is a BCS bowl game, is the team going to leave and practice in Atlanta the same as any other away game or are you guys going down early?
Dan Mozes (3:48 PM)
Right now, we've been pracicing since Friday. We're here until the 22, then we get to go home for a few days. The bowls pay for us to fly to the game on the 26th, then we stay there till game time, do what we need to do, then we can go home.
Ron Messenger,Morgantown, West by God Virginia!
How's it goin' Big Dan? Congrats on a GREAT season! My question is, how fun is it blocking for guys like P Dub, Stevie and Holy Schmitt? Seems like the o-line is havin' ALOT of fun out here! Thanks and spank the Dawgs!
Dan Mozes (3:49 PM)
Thanks for the support, Ron! It's a lot of fun blocking for great RBs and Pat White and Steve. The success that they are all having this season kind of rubs off on our shoulders and makes us feel pretty good about what we're doing.
Curtis (Chicago, IL)
Congrats Dan you make WV proud. Is this years O-Line better than 2002's and is Steve Slaton the fastest of the backs you have worked with?
Dan Mozes (3:51 PM)
Thanks. That's hard to say, we've had a lot of great lineman, in my case it was probably my first year hear, I didn't even play my true freshman year. There were great, great guys. That was probably the best team we had.
Joey J (Philly)
Dan-just wondering-Have you ever had a player as talented as Pat White on any of your teams, high school included?
Dan Mozes (3:53 PM)
Pat is definitely one of the most talented -- especially as such a young guy. I played with RAsheed Marshall, he was amazing. But Pat has definitely established himself among the greats, and he still has a long way to go.
Sheri - Sterling, VA
I sent in an earlier question(s) but haven't seen it appear yet - so I'll ask again. First, congratulations on All-American and All Big East honors - well deserved! What do you think it will be like when WVU has the ball? Do you think it will be any advantage to UGA b/c of the move to Atlanta for the Sugar Bowl? We will be there - cheering you guys on the loudest we possibly can - to make up for those "home field UGA fans". Thanks for all you do - GO O-LINE GO WVU , Let's Goooooo Mountaineers, BEAT GA! :)
Dan Mozes (3:54 PM)
Thanks so much, Sheri! It's going to be a different atmosphere down there in SEC territory. Those guys are probably going to be a little bit louder than anything we're used to facing so we definitely need all the cheering that we can get in our favor.
Jeff Churilla-Columbia, MD
What kind of 'gear' is the squad getting for the Sugar Bowl trip? Do you all vote on that or is it decided for you?
Dan Mozes (3:56 PM)
A little bit of both. The gifts from the school, the seniors vote on. We get the shoes and the pants and all that stuff. On interesting gift from the Sugar Bowl that I heard we are getting is a mountain bike, some guys don't really want that ... and others love to do stuff like that, so. ... One cool gift I heard we are getting is a hand held video camera. That's pretty cool.
Tad (Morgantown, WV)
Dan, what is your favorite place to eat in Morgantown?
Dan Mozes (3:57 PM)
I don't eat out too much, but when I do, it's Jim's, the Chinese food place at the mall ... and the Texas Roadhouse.
Rodney (Walton, WV)
What color uniforms are going to wear for the Sugar Bowl? I believe WVU is the visiting team, right?
Dan Mozes (3:58 PM)
Yep, we are the visiting team. We'll either be white and white, white and yellow or white and blue. That will probalby be decided three or four days before the game.
Gary, Marietta, GA
Dan, Good luck in the Sugar Bowl, You are there because you earned it.
Jim (Wheeling, WV)
Glad to hear you'll be back next year Dan. We WVU fans can rest easy now.
Steven (Chas, WV)
I just wanted to say thanks to you and the rest of the guys for making all of mountaineer nation proud!!!
Dan Mozes (4:01 PM)
I appreciate all the support -- individually, and for the Mountaineers, and for the Big East Conference. Thanks so much. Hopefully we'll be seeing -- and hearing - a lof of you down in Atlanta. If you can't be there, tune in to the TV, or whatever you can do. We appreciate it. Go Mountaineers -- let's bring home the Sugar Bowl Championship!
Sheri - Sterling, VA
