THE PULSE (1:03 PM)
The Pulse is underway, so let's hear it!
Ryan (Houston, TX)
How can the cowboy fans want TO when he insulted their team more than any other player in franchise history?
Micah (Austin)
Who cares about the off-field issues, T.O. will take the Cowboys to the "promised land"
Isaac (Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.)
All I want from T.O. is after his 1st TD in the Big D...is to run to the star, bow down to it and kiss it....then all is forgiven!!
Dennis (Pitt)
Should be a great day after a great 1st round of the tourney :]
Dennis (Pitt)
Dickie V: Which first round upset do you think was the biggest fluke?
COWBOY (NEW YORK CITY)
Why does it matter where T O plays?
jack (cleveland)
congrats to nw state and albany
Matt (Satellite Beach, Florida)
Is Connecticut still looking like the team to win it all?
Dennis (Pitt)
This has been such an unpredictable year. Never thought there would be this many upsets, even for March Madness.
Kyle Brown (Monticello, IN)
With Adam Morrison being such an outstanding offensive player, how will the Indiana Hossiers slow him down?
Gabriel (Atlanta)
I'm tired of everyone making excuses for the U.S. not advancing to the semi-finals. The fact is that the U.S. isn't the best anymore because their hearts aren't in it as much as other countries. Part of being the best is having the passion for the game.
Michael, Mission Viejo, CA
Hey Dicki V., I love UCLA and I agree with you. They are going all the way Baabbyy!
Matt (New York)
I thought i saw enough march madness in College, But what about the knicks beating the Pistons while playing with those St. Patricks day uniforms
THE PULSE (1:07 PM)
Good call Gabe, The WBC meant more to the other country's point blank.
Steve Bunin (1:07 PM)
Hi Pulsites - great work in the chat room so far. Which of you out there is a TO Fan? I'm not sure he's worth the risk, but what do you think? Will the Cowboys be ruing the day they signed him, or are they headed to the NFC title game and beyond?
William (Cincinnati,Ohio)
I think that T.O will do what he does on the field and he wont cause any trouble in the locker room becouse if he blows it in Dallas he can have fun finding a new team to play for.
nathan (edwardsville IL,)
what do you guys think about the fighting illini? they seem like they really want it with brown and augustine being seniors...plus Jamar Smith seems to be a quickly rising stars with the best jump shots i've ever seen in a freshman...whats ur take?
Steve Bunin (1:09 PM)
Nathan -- I think the Illini are strong, but look out for UW. The Huskies have as much firepower as anybody - they were the top-scoring team in the USA all season long. That could be a big Husky victory with a balanced UW squad.
Dennis (Pitt)
Most people had Kansas eventually upsetting Memphis, but how about Bradley. They showed a ton of heart, congrats to them.
Peter (Wisconsin)
How about George Mason knocking out MSU in the first round, that was so amazing to me
Dennis (Pitt)
Redick hits a 3 and GW is already toast.
brandon (beeville tx)
do you think the viking could have got something better than a second round draft pick
COWBOY (NEW YORK CITY)
Pro Basketball players are ungreatful and lazy!
Steve Bunin (1:13 PM)
no one to take Caulpeppers contract
Trevor (Raleigh, NC)
Do you think North Carolina has a chance if they play UConn in the Elite Eight?
Tyson (Chimacum, WA)
Do you think the UCLA Bruins could make it to the final four? Possibly to the championship game?
Ryan Burr (1:14 PM)
Duke is over rated.. cant win with one guy dominating the scoring...LOOK OUT Dukies
Steve Bunin (1:16 PM)
Tyson - that was my sleeper team until they drew Gonzaga in the Sweet 16 -- I strongly believe UCLA could get to the F.FOur, but I think they won't be able to stop Morrisson, and that could do them in. But Howland should be coach of the year if Pearl at Tenn. isn't.
Dieter (Gig Harbor, WA)
I think Wichita State has a great chance to beat Tennessee and maybe even beat the NC/George Mason winner and be the cinderella story of this years tourney.
Drew (Cleveland,Oh)
Is there anyone who thinks that OSU has a decent shot of making the final four?
Matt (Newyork)
yea i think UNC can beat UCONN, i have them beating them and i think they will and move on to the final 4
Sylvester (Springfield MA)
TO will take the cowboys no where without a decent quarterback?
Mario ((Can))
Dude, its great to be a Cowboys fan today, BUT I'm a little worried T O's going to bring this great team DOWN !!!
Ryan Burr (1:18 PM)
SLY, heres the deal on OSU... if they get by Gton.. I like their chances... But the HOYAS Are ligit...remember they beat DUke
Keith (NYC)
The Pulse needs an English teacher...countries!
Trevor (Raleigh, NC)
Is T.O. a good choice for the Cowboys or is the T.O from last year going to come out and not do much for the Cowboys?
Dustin (Lubbock)
Here it is ,Dallas is the great fit for T.O. Coach Parcells is the MAN when it comes to getting the image of players better . T.O will retire as a great player on and off the field.. EX. KEYSHAUN
Dennis (Pitt)
If Artest can work in Sactown, then T.O. can work in Dallas. Especially if it helps them beat the Eagles and 'Skins.
Laura (Plano,TX)
Jerry Jones is an idiot for bringing the most hated player in the NFL to the Cowboys. Anything more than a one-year contract involving T.O is sheer lunacy.
Justin H. (Mountaintop,Pa)
I have Bucknell beating Memphis, with Bettancourt and Lee it could happen.
Dennis (Pitt)
The only upset that I can't see happening today is Boston College losing to Montana
Cam, Winston-Salem, NC
Big Maryland fan, with the crazy things being said about Maryland being in or out of the NIT (press conference Sunday night), do you believe Gary has just burned himself out this year with this team and wants the season to be over, looking forward to next year maybe?
joshua clark (Atlanta,Ga)
will the atlanta falcons trade schaub, and if so what will they receive for him.
Trevor (Raleigh, NC)
I don't think that Memphis will loose to Buknell. They weren't seeded #1 for nothing.
Trevor (Raleigh, NC)
What do you think about Tennessee? They struggled against Winthrop and they are playing a Witchita State team who got a big win over Seaton Hall. Will Tennessee get passed Witchita State?
Steve Bunin (1:24 PM)
Trevor - I've got Wichita State over Tenn. in my bracket. I'm a big believer in the Shockers - they've been strong all season, and Tennessee showed a lack of confidence in its 1st-rd game, don't you think?
Jason (Newton Falls OH)
No way, the Shockers will light Tennesse up.
Joshua (Lafayette,Louisiana)
I think GW does not have enough defense to stop J.J Redick
Ryan (Boston,MA)
BC WILL not lose to Montana today,BC with Smith and Dudley and Rice coming off the bench will be enough to beat 'em.
Jim(Tampa,FL)
For my major uspet, I have Duke falling to G.Washington because Duke is not a strong team, they only rely on the three shooters which basically equals alot of points
Dennis (Pitt)
GW already has 5 fouls and it's only 8 minutes into the game. JJ will be shooting foul shots all night.
Dieter (Gig Harbor, WA)
I would look for Wisconsin -Milwaukee to play Florida tough and who knows maybe even pull off an upset.
Habibi Simba (Rochester NY)
"Here it is ,Dallas is the great fit for T.O. Coach Parcells is the MAN when it comes to getting the image of players better . T.O will retire as a great player on and off the field.. EX. KEYSHAUN" How sad! They will release him before week 5
Ryan Burr (1:34 PM)
If anyone can handle TO I like Parcells chances... I think the problem will be with Bledso... Not sure he is the answer at qb
THE PULSE (1:35 PM)
Peter Gammons is coming up soon, so send your thoughts on the World Baseball Classic and maybe see your comments on the air!
Mario ((Can))
I AGREE RYAN
Justin H. (Mountaintop,Pa)
Tennessee is going to win Wichita St. beat a Seton Hall team who showed no consistency in the regular season.
Tyson (Chimacum, WA)
Since James went to the Cardinals, do you think they will be a playoff type caliber of a team? How will the Colts handle their RB situation?
Oscar (McAllen, TX)
Life long Cowboy fan here and I am excited about the aquisition of Owens. T.O. will get paid and he will respond like an all pro. Jerry Jones is doing a great job. Bledsoe is a better answer than anyone else available right now, but not the future.
Chris (Harrison,NY)
Do you think if Marbury and Coach Brown get along next year the Knicks can make it to the playoffs next year
Kyle (Cumberland, RI)
The WBC is just a more intense version of Spring Training in my book, that involves countries instead of MLB teams.
Drew (Cleveland,Oh)
Ryan, Do you think that with the moves the browns have made and with the strong play of Charlie frye next year that cleveland is finally has finally turned the corner and will become a competitve play-off cailiber team?
Ryan Burr (1:38 PM)
Chris, there will be no next year for steph and LB... This combo is doomed... Marbury traded or LB quits....
Steve Bunin (1:39 PM)
I admit: I was a WBC-hater going in, but the tourney works. Just not for fans or players here in the U.S. But around the world, they're into this thing, and it's good for the game. Timing of the tourney is my only question...
Doug Gottlieb (ESPN HEADQUARTERS)
I SAID UCONN IS NOT THE FAVORITE ANYMORE IT IS NOW VILLANOVA AS THEY HAVE THE STRENGTH OF AN EASIER SCHEDULE.
Tyson (Chimacum, WA)
Do you think team USA went out a bit to early? Who will be the team to win the WBC?
Steve Bunin (1:40 PM)
Is that really you, Doug? Hmmmm....
Josh (South Carolina)
Who does the Raiders or Cardinals pick if Vince Young falls that far? I personally don't see Young making an impact for 3-4 years. No QB has ever been a pro bowler and made below a 15 on teh wonderlic that I have seen and I heard he scored a 6 or 12 the first time he took it. Do you think he will really change the NFL game like most think?
SALEM MASS
WHY ARE BOSTON COLLAGE NOT A CONTENDER FOR THE FINAL FOUR
Steve Bunin (1:41 PM)
Josh - I agree. Vince Young played in a college offense, tons of shotgun, and though Ben Roethlisberger did a lot of shotgun at Miami-OH, he is one of the few guys who's made the transistion from that type of offense to the pro's with success early on.
Steven (Kansas City)
My bracket has been ruined. Syracuse and Kansas lost. Those were two of my final four picks. Uconn had a scare. It is upset time!!!
Ryan Burr (1:41 PM)
BC is a big time contender Vitale has them in the final 4... Chris Smith is a MAN among boys
Steve Bunin (1:42 PM)
Steven - you're biased! Can't pick with the heart. You REALLY thought the Jayhawks would get to Indy? Come on, I know they were hot, but still. I went to SYR and I did have them in the Sweet 16, but I figured GMac would be 70%, not 07% in the 1st round.
Steven Bryant (San Bernardino, Ca)
This off-season, the Raiders have done little to fill the obvious needs off the team. Do you think that Al Davis has trick up his sleeve or is his age catching up with him? If old Al does have a game play, what do you foresee it to be? Thanks!
Danny (St.Petersburg,FL)
I was very disapointed in USA at the WBC but one thing i was impress with was Ken Griffey Jr do you think he carry those type of numbers into the regular season
Ryan Burr (1:46 PM)
Douger... You hated Nova... 2 weeks ago.. What Gives?
Rob (Vermont)
Griffey Jr. will have a similar to slightly better season compared to last year's if he stays healthy, a big "if"
Jim (Tampa,FL)
Danny,K. Griffey had one great game, if he had more than a couple, I would say the Reds would be kinda upset, but he faced a mediocre pitch im not all that surprised
Nick Taylor (Arlington,Va)
How good will duke be next year without J.J,Sheldon,Dockery?
Ryan Burr (1:47 PM)
Duke has a good recruiting class but it will tough replacing the 2 all americans... look for 3rd in the ACC
Dan (Knoxville,TN)
What position will the dolphins look to address with the 16th pick now that they have there QB
Ryan Burr (1:49 PM)
Love the Dolphins O...Caulpepper, Chambers Ronnie Brown... Defense, defense, defesne for the phins
Fenst (Feasterville, PA)
Ryan, if you have Duke 3rd in the ACC who is 1 and 2?
Ryan Burr (1:51 PM)
Clearly Carolina 1,,,another great class coming in... and how about BC...Dudley should be a star
bryan (wisconsin)
do you expect the packers who have a lot of money and favre itching to come back to make a run in the NFC again?
Tanner (Parkston,SD)
John are the Vikings looking at any free agents right now.
Alex (Brooklyn)
Rodney Carney, Brandon Roy are the most helpful for their teams. Their teams are very lucky to have them on their squad.
THE PULSE (1:53 PM)
Here's the real question: Does Northwestern State have a chance to make the Sweet 16?
Steve Bunin (1:53 PM)
How about the Brooklyn love for B.Roy out West? Nice work, Alex. A life-long Pulsite, good to have you back.
Drew (Cleveland,Oh)
With a strong showing this year and a great recruiting class coming in next year, Are the buckeyes and odd's on favorite to when the big-10 and make the Final Four next year?
Jacob (Corpus Christi tx)
RYANS GETTING LOTS OF LOVE WHATS DA DEAL
Kyle (Monticello, IN)
Everyone has a chance to make the sweet 16, but their chances are small
Steve Bunin (1:56 PM)
Alex - how about Brooklyn giving B.Roy and the west coast some love? Nice work by a life-long Pulsite. Welcome back.
Kyle (Austin, Tx)
If Vince Young drops to the 5th pick, what do ya'll think the chances are the Lions will move up to get him?
Alex (Brooklyn)
Northwestern I can't trust 'em yet but they are very suprising.
victor alexandria,la
northwestern state deserves to go to the next round. and any body who has it better bring it on baby.
jason (wichita falls,tx)
if you watched korea beat japan or any of the latin teams win then you could see why the US team didnt win. the other countries were so much more passionate about representing and playing for their countries
Fenst (Feasterville, PA)
BC will choke in this round again like they do every year.
bryan (wisconsin)
lets not get negative on the usa baseball team it's march they gave it there all most of the great usa players didn't even come a.k.a usa basketball in '04
Ryan Burr (2:03 PM)
BC has never been past the sweet 16 with skinner but...but this is the year... Some love for the eagles Fenst
bryan (wisconsin)
the other countries have also been playing all winter give the usa players credit for at least being on the team go after those who dropped out
Kyle (Monticello, IN)
Lets not make excuses either
Matt (Scottsdale)
When teams play Duke they are not only playing the team but also they have to comptete with the ref's! This G. W. game is absolutly horrible not to mention every other game you watch with Duke. They get the most unreal calls and get none called on them. It makes me sick to watch a team of par talent get so much help by the ref's along with hearing from the comentators about how everything they do it so special. Well if any team had the ref's and NCAA media in their pocket they could create a dynasty to.
Ryan Burr (2:04 PM)
Matt... Duke doesnt make it past Texas..mark it down.. JJ reddick cant beat the horns all by himself
Andrew H (Herndon,VA)
Cowboys Super Bowl Champs next year with TO
Ryan Burr (2:06 PM)
Cowboys have called 3:30 presser... can you say TO
CAVAR M (KANSAS CITY)
T.O SHOULD GO TO THE CHIEFS
samuel (blountstown fls)
how do people know to's attitude will change in dallas?
Dennis (Pitt)
They should start Henson this year at QB
Justin E. (Long Branch, NJ)
T.O is a good all around player. i dont think this year is superbowl year.
Andrew H (Herndon,VA)
Duke beat Texas by 30 last time! Texas doesn't have the inside play to stop Williams.
Ryan Burr (2:09 PM)
DREW, Duke is tired... Horns win a close one
Sharon ((PA))
Ryan, will Duke beat GW?
Dennis (Pitt)
The success of the WBC should be enough to have baseball back in the Olympics.
bryan (wisconsin)
if anything it's not the usa players lacking passion it's the usa fans we are playing in usa and we don't get into the games or even come close to selling them out very unlike the latin fans in puerto rico
Steve Bunin (2:11 PM)
I must disagree with my esteemed colleague - I think Duke has no problem with Texas. In fact, I have WVU over UT in the Sweet 16. Not sold on Texas. Kansas proved anybody can beat 'em on the right night, and I think WVU's outside gunners are gonna do it.
Jim (Tampa,FL)
T.O is overrated, evertime I turn it to ESPN i'm looking at his face all the time. This year be prepared for Parcells and T.O to be on the highlight reel this year because this year willl be a dillema and I'm interested to see how long T.O will last without causing commotion
bryan (wisconsin)
why are we always so hard on these usa teams basketball and baseball these guys don't have to go they volunteer and then you rip then for going rip the guys who don't show up and the negativity in the media over this wbc is terrible lets for once look at the good and not the bad about everything
Steve Bunin (2:12 PM)
I'm also not so sure T.O. is gonna fit in Dallas. He may work there for a while, but he's worn out his welcome every stop along the way, and he'll do it in Big D as well. The only real question is: WHEN.
Matt (East Palestine, Ohio)
If T.O and Parcells do have problems, who will be the first to go? Parcells or T.O?
Fenst (Feasterville, PA)
We don't care about the WBC because it is scheduled at the same time as the NCAA Tournament. Sorry, the NCAAs are a lot more exciting and are a bigger tradition than that.
Steve Bunin (2:13 PM)
Matt - you'd better believe Parcells will run TO out of town if he wants. Word is, Tuna is close to retiring anyway, but there's NO WAY he'll allow T.O. to get the last word in this relationship.
Drew (Cleveland,OH)
Bryan, I have all the love in the world for people like Jeter, Damon, Griffey and a host of others who stood up and played for the US, but the lack of national pride for the WBC and the players who didn't feel like concerning themselves with the WBC because money wasn't involved have really blemished the image of baseball even further since the steriod hearings. When NASCAR ranks above the national pastime in TV ratings and the country that inveted the game can't even post strong showing in the touney inveted by the comiisioner of the league, you have a problem
bryan (wisconsin)
wow it's nice to have a chat without yanks/sox.....but then bonds and t.o. come up
Steve Bunin (2:14 PM)
Bryan - give us some credit, man! But now YOU'VE brought up the NYY and R.Sox. Argh! We made it 75 minutes without 'em, a new Pulse record! :) Did you all watch the WBC?
Kyle (Monticello, IN)
I think Ron Artest is more of a distraction player than T.O
Chris (Harrison,NY)
Do you think with Johnny Damon's injury the Yankees will start the year slow
Gabriel (Atlanta)
The intriguing matchups do sellout. Did you see how many people attended the Mexico-US game on Thursday? Their was a lack of passion by the players. They showed it by showing up unprepared for this Tournament.
Drew (Cleveland,OH)
Mr.Gammons, With the lack of effort to reatin a few key free agents, like Bob Howry and Kevin Millwood. and with the trade of Coco Crisp to boston, Do you think the indians have even a remote shot of competing in the AL Central this year?
Gene (Cincinnati)
Watching baseball is like watching the paint dry until the 8th inning, then it is ok
Sam (Indianapolis)
Whats with D-Lee? Will he be better by April?
bryan (wisconsin)
do you guys see baseball ever getting a salary cap like the nfl so the david's have a shot every year
Dennis (Pitt)
The problem with the WBC is that teams play one another too many times (ex: Korea and Japan)
Steve Bunin (2:21 PM)
Bryan - I'm afraid not. $$$ rules all, and how can we convince owners it's better for the GAME, for US THE FANS, to have sal-cap equality? What do they care if they're making millions? They don't, and until somebody changes the rules FOR them, why should they? If your boss wanted to equalize all the salaries in your office, would you be for it? But Baseball is different, or at least SHOULD be. Aaaah, call me old school, but I'm a frustrated fan who grew up a Mariners fan in Seattle. THAT was a tough run...
Steven
How far do you think Arizona will make it... they had a rough regular season but seem to have pulled it together as of late with the return of Adams.
aaron (Houston,TX)
i hope that the next time we have a world baseball classic its around jan. or feb. so we will have better players playing in this great event, rite now its to early
Houston (Odessa, Tx)
baseball will never get a salary cap because you couldn't get the owners to agree on anything
CAVAR M (KANSAS CITY)
WHY DIDNT T.O GO TO THE CHIEFS?
michael (ryan burr)
arizona is good and so their chances on going far in the big dance.
Andrew H (Herndon,VA)
Arizona will give Villanova all it can handle. In the end, the experience and guard play of Villanova will push them into the Sweet 16.
Ryan (Blacksburg)
Will Pitt fade like they tend to do? or will playing a weaker second round foe help boost their confidence. With all the respect due to Bradley
Allen (Hawaii)
which "george" team will be out first?
Steve Bunin (2:29 PM)
This Pitt team is differant.. 10 deep 2 stud fresh plus grey in the middle... they should have a bttle with Memphis
Steve Bunin (2:29 PM)
Allen - Aloha! I don't know about you, but G.Mason busted my bracket to bits. I had MSU in the Elite 8. Otherwise I'm looking good. How are YOUR brackets looking, Pulsites? Most of you have UCONN, Nova, Duke, I assume ... who have you picked right and wrong?
phil (washington)
how far do you think gonzaga will go?
Steve Bunin (2:30 PM)
That was Ryan addressing you, Bryan. Computer error. I was busy dreaming of how Syracuse can win the NIT next year w/o GMAC. He deserves credit for that response.
Ryan Burr (2:30 PM)
The zags lose to INDY Today
Alex (Brooklyn)
The WBC is great!! I'm living it!!!!
Ryan Burr (2:31 PM)
I agree I thought it was cool tto see how into it the other countrys were
Steve Bunin (2:31 PM)
Phil, I've got the Zags over UCONN in the final. I was scared in rd.1, but i'm still a believer. You?
Jeremy (Morgantown)
Zags bow out tonight to the mighty Hoosiers. Guaranteed.
bryan (wisconsin)
mustache man and the zags are way way overrated they were pushed to the limit almost everynight even at home in a weak west coast conference
Ryan Burr (2:35 PM)
How about Belien...will he be coaching Indy next year... That would be a tough blow for the eers
Steve (Dallas)
Ryan Burr, are you nuts? Gonzaga is a much better all around team than IU will ever be.
Sam (Indianapolis)
Do you believe in Montana, I do.
Ryan Burr (2:37 PM)
The Zags have been skating by for weeks if not months,,, Adams Stache and the zags run comes to an end today
Sharon ((PA))
Ryan, which #1 seed will lose first?;
Steve Bunin (2:37 PM)
Sharon - no love for me? I think Memphis is the 1st #1-seed to lose; the only one that won't get to the Final Four.
Arron (Saint Cloud, MN)
I don't believe that it's a lack of interest on the part of the ballplayers as far as the WBC goes, but these players have contractual obligations with their professional ball teams. Joe Mauer refused to play because he was concerned about the lack of opportunities to play because Veritek was going to get most of the time behind the plate.
Sharon ((PA))
Steve, which #1 seed is going to lose first?
Ryan Burr (2:39 PM)
My sister lives in Sharon PA... Memphis first 1 to fall losing to PITT
Arron (Saint Cloud, MN)
What about Wisconsin, Milwaukee? They went to the Sweet 16 last year and there isn't much talk about them. They aren't intimidated by these big named teams. I think they will go to at least the 16 again.
Steve Bunin (2:40 PM)
HA! Look at that. Sharon, did my mother call and force you to write that? My only small school in the S.16 was Wichita State. I have them over Tennessee. I do have Texas and UCLA going down before the Elite 8, too. Who were YOUR surprises, Pulsites? Who do you have alive for a deep run?
Arron (Saint Cloud, MN)
Villanova will be the first #1 to fall.
Tony (Pennsylvania)
steve do you think gonzaga is good enough to get to the final four
Steve Bunin (2:42 PM)
Tony - I posted earlier that I think Gonzaga will win it all. Believe me, they have holes, but Batista is a beast down low, Raivio can take over a game from the outside, and a la Danny Manning, I believe Morrison is one of those special players who can score from anywhere anytime and who will lead his team to a title.
Danny (Amarillo, Tx)
Memhis will slaughter Pitt
Steve (Dallas)
I have UCLA beating Gonzaga in the Elite Eight.
Andrew H (Herndon,VA)
Steve, 3 #1 seeds in the final 4?? You have to be kidding me! That hasn't happened in 20 years! Villanova looked terrible against Monmouth and it will be DUKE,BC,UCONN and UCLA in the final 4
Steve Bunin (2:48 PM)
Steve in Dallas - I could definitely see that happening, but ultimately, I think Batista and Morrison inside are too much for a UCLA squad that's been decimated by injuries down low. And Andrew in VA, these 3 teams (Duke, UCONN, Nova) have been more dominant as a trio than any other group in years. And actually, it HAS happened in the last 20 yrs. It happened in 1999: Duke, Mich.St, UCONN
Aaron (Orlando, FL)
Duke is garbage...I think they're outta here next round
Miles (Baton Rouge)
Is LSU one of the best teams in the nation? I think so, and i mean it. They have Glen Davis, Tyrus Thomas, and Darrell Mitchell. They have to be one of the best sleepers in the tourament, so I say, look out Duke!
Steve Bunin (2:50 PM)
Miles - LSU can make a run, and they got a great draw until the Sweet 16, but beating Duke will be verrrrrrrrry tough for the Tigers. In Atlanta, that helps them as much as Duke, but I just think they might come out scared, whereas Duke will come out smooth. I see an 8-pt Duke margin at halftime, not much closer the rest of the way.
Jeremy (Morgantown)
I have Pitt, BC, Texas, and UConn. Duke's not gonna get it done.
Jon (West Haven, Connecticut)
T.O and Dallas is a very good match for both sides. T.O needs a team that is not going to put up with his bs. Dallas is without a doubt that team. Jerry Jones has a bigger ego than T.O and if T.O wants to act up in Dallas he'll have to answer to Tuna, Jones, and us, the fans. Dallas needs T.O also. We have been craving a playmaker like Owens for a while now. I think we found a perfect match in T.O.
bryan (wisconsin)
you can just feel mike davis bank account growing if he gets the hoosiers to the sweet sixteen he will get a great job and a great deal next year somewhere
Matt (East Palestine OH)
Steve Can we see a ACC rematch in the NCAA Championship between BC and Duke?
Steve Bunin (2:55 PM)
Matt - my parents are from Cleveland. Ohio rocks. I don't see it. I had BC out in the 1st round, and Pacific had them on the ROPES. Now that they've advanced, can they win again in ALTITUDE? Montana plays at altitude all year long in the Big Sky, which I used to cover in Flagstaff, Ariz. when Ben Howland coached Northern Arizona. Then BC would have to top Villanova and then probably Florida or Ohio State, then UCONN???? Doubt it, brother.
Andrew H (Herndon,VA)
I think DUKE and BC will both make it to the FINAL 4 but UCONN will be to much for BC
Steve Bunin (2:57 PM)
Pulsites - STEVE LAVIN is in our studio - he's about to hop on set to talk NCAA hoops. If you've got a question for the former UCLA coach, send it our way NIZZOW!
Aaron C. (South Bend, In)
the zags will lose to the hoosiers today b/c they have not played great teams lately.
Danny (Amarillo, Tx)
T.O. is not better than K.J. He is just younger.
Kyle (Tobyhanna)
What Chance does Unc have of making it to the final four this year
Ankit (Ottawa, Canada)
Will Boston College make it to the Final Four even though they struggled against Pacific?
nathan nuttall (Easton,PA)
i think Terrell Owens is a big move for my team dallas cowboys. i think he goin to make a change in the team. and i think he is goin to change bein on the team.
Dieter (Gig Harbor, WA)
Bucknell actually has a fairly easy road to get to the elite 8 after looking at my bracket. I would not be surprised if they beat Memphis, then Pitt/Bradley, and then UCLA / Alabama/ Gonzaga/ Indiana
Andrew H (Herndon,VA)
UCLA has been playing some of the best basketball in the last month. They handled there number 15 seed better than any of the number 1's handled there 16's. NOVA has no inside game and that will hurt them once they start playing teams that get physical.
Ben(New York
Do you think the Saints have a chance at the playoffs???
Steve Bunin (2:59 PM)
Ben - definitely. Brees is the real deal, and in the NFL - every have-not can be a HAVE the following season. They played tough with the Katrina after-effects all season. I could see them in the playoffs.
Cody (Nashville, Tennessee)
The saints arent winning eight games just because of bree's. I mean he's good but after all they've been through and stuff they're not i hate it i wish they would but looking aside from that they dont have it a. A offense capable of scoring 15 or 20 points a game or a deffense capable of holding a team's offense under 20 points.
Paul Detroit, MI
Why does david Carr get a free pass and Joey Harrington is villified even though they have similar stats and records?
SALMAN ((OKLAHOMA CITY))
WITH THE MOST CAP ROOM SHOULDN'T THE GB PACKERS SIGN PLAYERS LIKE TY LAW,LAVAR ,AND KEYSHAWN
bryan (wisconsin)
carr has no o-line and at least doesn't make the same mistakes over and over every week
Kyle (Cumberland, RI)
My dark horse is Northwestern State baby! I can see them with another upset.
KAVAR (KANSAS CITY)
STEVE R THE CHIEFS PLAY OFF BOUND
Steve Bunin (3:18 PM)
Kavar - I think not. Not that they're not strong. I think in the NFC, they're the 3rd-best team. But I don't think the Pats are going anywhere, nor the Bengals unless CP isn't healthy. I think the Colts still make it from their division, and though the Broncos will fall off, there's always a surprise team, and maybe it's Miami...
Ryan (East Lansing, MI)
Coach, how do you get your team back to Earth and focused on the next game after that huge upset?
Dennis (Pitt)
Don't let Rosenhaus talk at the press conference!
Steve Bunin (3:19 PM)
Dennis - AMEN!
Ankit (Ottawa, Canada)
Sup Steve, I was just wondering will Duke win the NCAA Championship?
Matt (New Waterford OH)
Speaking of the Pack, there are rumors of Javon Walker wanting out, will he get his wish and if so where will he go?
Vic (Palm Bay, Fl)
Ok, Now that T.O. has apparently signed with the Cowboys. What do you think their chances are of making it to the super bowl this year?
bryan (wisconsin)
first the packers get mike mccarthy to coach and then they have a lot a lot of cap room and basically sit on their hands while favre waits and waits for them to make moves all be it they did sign pickett and kampman but nothing big at all
Colby (Dallas Texas)
Steve are you getting my messages?
Steve Bunin (3:21 PM)
Javon Walker wont play for GB again.. he feels let down big time but not getting a deal and then getting hurt...look for a draft day trade
KAVAR (KANSAS CITY)
I THINK WITH LARRY JOHNSON THE CHIEFS ARE UNSTOPABLLE
Ryan Burr (3:21 PM)
draft day trade...walker goes to the vikings
matt (tafton pa)
I think that terrel owens is a big help for the cowboys unless he becomes a jerk
Kasey (Sioux Rapids, IA)
Becuase of Iowa's first round loss, do you think Steve Alford will try to get the Indiana job for sure now?
Kasey Sioux Rapids, IA
Now the Iowa is out of the NCAA Tournament, do you think that Steve Alford will get the Indiana job for sure now?
Jared (Tucson, Arizona)
Steve, watching Arizona dominate Wisconsin the whole game, and watching Villanova stuggle with Monmouth, do you think Arizona has a chance to beat Villanova?
Ryan Burr (3:22 PM)
alford is as good as gone to IU..its already done
Steve Bunin (3:22 PM)
Kasey - I'm afraid so. As Coach Lavin just told us on the Pulse, it's too good a fit to pass up.
KAVAR (KANSAS CITY)
STEVE- THE CHIEFS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN T.O WE NEED A WIDE OUT MORE THAN THEY DO
Marco (Los angeles )
why does everybody think Uconn is gonna win the national championship but there not palying like a championship team?
Dennis (Pitt)
Over the next 20 years, Jay Wright will become a legend.
Ryan Burr (3:25 PM)
chiefs have needed a big time reciever for year... somebody to go with Gonzo and larry johnson... Herm will bring in some one... IT will happen in KC.. the playoffs are in your future
Ryan Burr (3:26 PM)
Jay Wright is classy can recruit playing in a great city in the best conference in the land... but will strufggle a bit next year without Foye and Ray
Matt (New Waterford OH)
Is UCONN over rated? they lost to Syracuse( knocked out in the first round) and they had to come back from a 12 pt deficet to albany
Ryan Burr (3:27 PM)
UCONN not overated Matt.. The have the best team in the land.. just need to play with more FIRE... 5 NBA guys on that team
matt (tafton pa)
I also think that t.o will help us be more explosive in the passing game
Gary Paul Letherer Sedona, AZ
I have a baseball question for Peter Gammons which does not need to be included in the chat room. Does Peter have an e-mail address @ ESPN? Mine is: garypaulL@msn.com Thank You. Gary
Tal Edwards (Sacramento, CA)
Since it's now obvious that the Cowboys got rid of Keyshawn Johnson to bring T.O. do you think Johnson should feel humiliated? After all he's been a model citizen in Dallas the last two years, where as T.O. destroyed his team after going to the Superbowl.
Ryan Burr (3:29 PM)
Gary put your baseball question out here thats how you can get it to Pete
Matthew (Youngstown OH)
Now with Keyshawn outta Dallas, where will he end up?
bryan (wisconsin)
don king is sick of listening to drew rosenhaus at press confrences
bryan (wisconsin)
guys what do you do if you are the texans?? take bush or trade down to get more picks and/or a proven player?
Colby (Dallas Texas)
Steve and Ryan What is your view on t.o. coming to dallas? will he be a great addition to the franchise and do you think they will resign keyshawn? and if they do sign keyshawn sill it be the best reciever line up in the league????
Ryan Burr (3:36 PM)
I say good move for a year... TO has something to prove.... he will be a stud in 06 after that... TROUBLE
cody (Nashville, Tennessee)
Take bush man no brqainer if you wanna get maud fun of in the future for trading down a hall of famer go on trade em down but come on he's reggie bush.
victor alexandria,la
hey steve will some body straightend my nephew in law out that there is no 2 minute warning in college basketball and iknow that rule.
Dennis (Pitt)
Ew....Rosenhaus
Steve Bunin (3:39 PM)
Victor - there is no 2-min rule in CBB. Sorry to your family. NFL, yes. CBB, no.
Cletus (Kentucky)
What impact do you think Terrell Owens is going to have in Dallas with Drew Bledsoe throwing him the ball
Adam (Farmersville Tx)
While there are questions about his character and his attitude, you cannot deny that he is a playmaker, period. There are many fans who say that he is a cancer to any team he goes to. Its quick to judge a book by its cover. Speaking about that, didn't everyone say that Parcells and Jones couldn't co-exist?
Richard (Austin)
The "boys have the worst receiving corps in the league. Terry Glenn needs help and Patrick Crayton is coming off an ankle injury. Watching the "boys just got a LOT more interesting!
Jacob (Corpus Christi TX)
I want too see T.O. do setups on the star, aslong as he puts another ring on or finger.
Robert (California)
TO...Dallas, great fit, Bill Parcells will keep him grounded
kasey (sioux rapids)
Seems that T.O can't speak for himslef. Why is that?
JC (Arizona)
remember the star
Eric (Philly)
This signing is tremendous for the Philly Dallas rivalry. The hostility at the Linc will be amazing.
Aaron (Raymondville, Texas)
we don't need a guy like this just look what he did at Philadelphia what if that happens here too
WVCOWBOYFAN (WEST VIRGINIA)
This is a good move for the Cowboys on the Field but we will see how he acts if things dont go the way he wants and how Jerry Jones and Bill Parcells handles T.O.
Matt Pforr (Manassas, VA)
I'm a Cowboy fan.I'm a Jerry Jones fan.I'm now a T.O. fan.I welcome T.O. with open arms...
Derek (Dallas)
Saying Terrell Owens is a bad person isnt judgin a book by its cover, it is judging the book based on its entire content with a complete appendix and cited sources.
Evan (Detroit)
The Cowboys will have a complete team next year. They are the 2007 Super Bowl Champions!
bryan (wisconsin)
bledsoe just checked himself into therapy
Drew (San Francisco)
dallas is done!
Kasey (Iowa)
T.O doesn't deserve to have another chance on the football field. He screwed it up last year with the Eagles
bryan (wisconsin)
guys, where do you see big names like charles woodson and lavar arrington going?
Robert (California)
The exact same thing wont happen. Because if it does Terrell Owens's career is over and he knows that more than anything.
Andre P. (California)
As a Die Hard Cowboys fan, I am very surprised that they went after T.O., but I understand why. I have somewhat disappointed but I also understand the impact player he is when he is on the field. My concerns are his off teh field antics. I can only hope that he turns his attitude into a positive one and realize that this maybe his last opportunity in the league. I hope that he will give the Boys, Bill and Jerry an opportunity to get back to the superbowl. Welcome to BIG D. T.O. and best of luck to you.Andre
Steve Bunin (3:49 PM)
Bryan - YOU JUST GOT ON ESPNEWS!!!! Nice work!
Don (Manteca, Ca)
As a cowboy fan I have mixed feeling about T.O.. He is going to have to win over a lot of people with his play.
Ryan Burr (3:50 PM)
TO already in rare form...He addressed The tuna as just PARCELLS.. NO respect.. not good a start
Chris Crews (Harrisonburg, Va)
Although he has insulted Cowboy fans in the past T.O. is indeed the best WR going in the game today. Once on the fieled, if he proves himself that will be forgotten soon enough.
Andrew B. (appomattox, Va.)
i think that this deal with the Dallas Cowboys and T.O will work out becuase if owens does go to his old ways then i think Bill will shut him up.
bryan (wisconsin)
jones has already dealt with problems and adversity in dallas remember irvin and the 'boys from the 90's, plus this guy fired a living legend in t. landry he will have no problem doing the same to parcells or owens
JC (Arizona)
i want a TO jersey!!!
Ryan Burr (3:52 PM)
owens gets 3 yrs 25 mil
J.Woods (Rochester,NY)
The Cowboys have struck gold with T.O. and...Not Fool's GOLD!
KEVIN (TEXAS)
SUPER BOWL HERE WE COME!!!! GO DALLAS
Brad (Maryland)
Brandon Lloyd and Randle El who??? T.0 is all we need!!!!!!
Ricky (Laredo (Texas))
I am excited that we have a reciever that will actually contribute to the Cowboys and wont give us problems.
Darryl (Leesburg va)
Dallas be my guest take T.O. because that's one less problem every other team will have!
Michael (Kingsville)
The star incident is in the past. This will open it up for barber, witten, and glenn. Bledsoe should flourish.
Marshall (Atlanta)
This is the BEST FA signing ever by Jerry Jones. Welcome TO!!
chubby (ny)
I believe Terrell has said all the right things, and will show us a new and improved T.O.
SHAWN WHITE (NORTH CAROLINA)
T.O. JUST PUTTING UP A FRONT TO THE GET THE MONEY
Ahmad Ghannam (Florida`)
Cowboys will now Triumph over the NFC EAST as well as the NFC and everyone will forget who the Skin's signed because it wont change a thing.
valentino (lubbock, tx)
like it or hate it u have to admit it is a good move by jerry! this will be a better team this year.
