Jerome's here! Fire away!
Detroit, Michigan
How do you feel you did at the combine. Did you run fast??
Jerome Harrison (2:03 PM)
Overall, I think I did great. I did not think I ran as fast I wanted to.
Curtis (Indy)
Have you had any talks or workouts with the Colts? They definately are in need of a RB.
Jerome Harrison (2:04 PM)
Yeah, we've talked a couple of times. The conversations went well. I wouldn't mind wearing a Colts uniform.
John (Portage, MI)
I was curious if you and your high school teammate, Greg Jennings, have any type of wager on who will be drafted first?
Jerome Harrison (2:05 PM)
Me and Greg talked about the other day. WE don't have a wager on who will go first, but we both want to be gone by the second round.
Wayne Virginia Beach
Hey Jerome, how do you compare with other running backs in this draft, and how would you characterize your style (e.g. power, speed, slasher, cutback etc.).
Jerome Harrison (2:06 PM)
I would say I'm a top 3 back. My style of play is shifty and elusive. A big home run runner. I think I'm one of the best backs in this draft. I think after two or three years, I'll be showing that.
Tim (Houston)
Jerome, at this point who have you been relying on the most for advice? Family, agent, former players...
Jerome Harrison (2:06 PM)
My father has been through this process. He went to the league. I've been talking with everyone I can.
Terry (columbus OH)
Jerome, you had a great college career. There are a lot of skeptics saying you might not make it in the nfl because of your size, what do you have to say to those skeptics?
Jerome Harrison (2:07 PM)
They've been saying that to me my whole life. Name me another back that ran for 1,900 yards in the Pac-10. I had 300 carries with no injuries and didn't miss a game. Everything will come to light at the next level.
Steve Philadelphia
How do you feel you would be able to come into an offense like the Philadelphia Eagles and help out if they were to grab you in the draft
Jerome Harrison (2:08 PM)
I can run the ball very well in their offense. I think I could fit into their system real well.
Paul (Florida)
Have the Pats shown any interest in you? They are in need of a RB and you seem like a good fit.
Jerome Harrison (2:09 PM)
Yes, I talked to them a couple of times as well. A good conversation with them.
Sean (Charlottesville VA)
Jerome, what do you most look forward to, in regards to being a pro ball player, aside from Sundays? I heard that you are most excited to sit ringside for the big fights in Vegas, and have Jim Lampley point you out.
Jerome Harrison (2:10 PM)
(laughs) Where are you getting that information from? My biggest thing will be giving back to my parents and community. Show my appreciation for sticking with me through the tough times.
Travis (MI)
Jerome, would you rather sit behind a veteran RB and learn some things from him before being thrown into the fire? Or would you want to be a teams #1 option from day one?
Jerome Harrison (2:11 PM)
I would like to go in and learn from a veteran. I do want to play from the first day, but I want to learn as much as I can.
Renegade (Texas)
Jerome, who do you feel is the best running back in the NFL right now?
Jerome Harrison (2:11 PM)
LaDanian Tomlinson, hands down. It's not even close.
Mike (PA)
Jerome, What is the strangest question an organization has asked you? You do not need to mention the team. Thanks and good luck.
Jerome Harrison (2:12 PM)
I can't remember.
Will(Phoenix,Az)
Jerome, who was your biggest overall influence as a football player while you were growing up?
Jerome Harrison (2:13 PM)
Barry Sanders, the greatest running back to ever play. He's where I get most of my moves from.
Travis, Indianapolis
Jerome, which team would you most like to see draft you?
Jerome Harrison (2:13 PM)
I don't want to say any names. It doesn't matter. I just want to play.
Albert (Kalamazoo Mich
Jerome do you think you are more suited to be a third down back or can you carry the load on every down?
Jerome Harrison (2:14 PM)
I'm good enough to be an all-purpose back. I don't like to be labeled as just a third-down back. I think God blessed me to be an every down back and carry the load.
Will(Phoenix,Az)
Jerome, what will be your first luxury purchase when the contract is signed? Be honest now....lol Bestr of luck to you. You are truly an amazing athlete.
Jerome Harrison (2:15 PM)
Probably something for my mom. She'll get whatever she wants first.
Scott(Reno)
Jerome, enjoyed watching you in person last year, even if you ran all over us. With the Broncos recent acquisition of additional picks, you thinking at all about possibly playing at Mile High?
Jerome Harrison (2:16 PM)
Thanks for watching me in Nevada. I would love to. They already have two former Washington State players there. They have an awesome line. If I go there, I might win rookie of the year with that awesome line!
Bryan (Fayetteville)
Jereme, which stadium are looking forward to playing in the most?
Jerome Harrison (2:16 PM)
Georgia Dome.
Josh (St. Cloud, MN)
Hey, Jerome. Who's game in the NFL do you think yours most resembles? Good luck in the draft!
Jerome Harrison (2:17 PM)
LaDainian Tomlinson. Warrick Dunn mostly, too.
Christopher(Worcester)
Hey Jerome, how has the draft process been different than when you were recruited out of high school?
Jerome Harrison (2:18 PM)
Coming out of high school it was all fun and games. It was about enjoying it. Now, it's more of a business. It's not have fun all day and night. Now it's eat and sleep football. It's more of a business than a joy ride. But you have fun too.
miles, spokane washington
jerome, what coach do you want to pay for the most go cougs
Jerome Harrison (2:18 PM)
Coach Dungy.
Matt (Charlotte NC)
Hey Jerome do you think that you will resemble Jerome Bettis any? Best of luck to you in the NFL.
Jerome Harrison (2:19 PM)
No. I might be 200 pounds less than him. (laughs)But I do like what he does in the community. I hope to resemble him in that way.
miles spokane washington
what was your favorite game last season with the cougs go cougs
Jerome Harrison (2:20 PM)
Apple Cup. The first team in a long time to win it two years in a row. I can finish my career knowing I never lost it.
ryan (NYC)
if you weren't a football player and you just finished college, which city would you move to?
Jerome Harrison (2:20 PM)
Probably Orlando or Atlanta. Somewhere down south. I like the warm weather.
Steve Dallas, TX
Jerome, Mel Kiper has you going in the 3rd round to the Jaguars. Do you think you're better than the 3rd round? And would you want to go to the Jaguars?
Jerome Harrison (2:22 PM)
Of course I think I'm better than a third round pick. I think I'm better than a lot of the backs that are in front of me. The only reason I might be looking at the third round, like some people say, it's because I don't get the same media hype as some of them get. But I wouldn't mind at all playing for the Jaguars.
Dan (Cincinnati)
Which defensive player in this draft do you think is the best based on playing against them?
Jerome Harrison (2:22 PM)
I do not know.
Chase (Rockford IL)
Hey Jerome what was your favorite childhood NFL football team?
Jerome Harrison (2:23 PM)
The Lions. Barry was the greatest running back ever.
ryan (NYC)
do you plan on using your stature as a pro athlete to affect social issues (think ali), or would you prefer to keep your views private (think jordan)?
Jerome Harrison (2:23 PM)
Yes. I do. I plan on helping out. There are plenty of people out there that have talent but don't have a chance to show it. I plan on helping out as much as possible.
Troy ( St. Paul)
Best WR in the NFL right now?
Jerome Harrison (2:24 PM)
Hmm. T.O.! It's T.O. baby! When he steps on the grass, he's a man among boys.
Jerome Harrison (2:24 PM)
And Smith in Carolina, you can't forget about him.
Tony ( Big Blue)
Jerome, what NFL teams impressed you the most when you spoke with them at the Combine?
Jerome Harrison (2:25 PM)
The Panthers and Atlanta and the Colts.
Dan (Milwaukee)
Scouts, Inc. compared you to Julius Jones of the Cowboys in ESPN's NFL Draft Guide. Do you agree with that comparison?
Jerome Harrison (2:25 PM)
Yeah. You can compare me with anyone in the NFL and I'll take it. He's a pretty good back too. I'll take it.
Todd (Tucson)
Who is your superbowl pick for next year?
Jerome Harrison (2:26 PM)
Whoever drafts me!
Jerome Harrison (2:27 PM)
Thanks for all the questions. I really appreciate your support through my college career. I hope you'll continue to support me on whichever team drafts me.
