Melanie, who is married to Funny Car driver Tommy Johnson Jr., sits atop the Top Fuel point standings. She is 71 points ahead of Doug Kalitta just about halfway through the season. Troxel has earned her first two Top Fuel wins this season, which is her first full season. Earlier this season, she became the first Top Fuel driver to reach the final round in each of the first five events of the season.
