The Contender, a collaboration of ESPN, Mark Burnett Productions and DreamWorks Television, premieres with a two-hour show Tuesday, July 18 on ESPN at 10 p.m. ET. It will be seen on following Tuesdays as a one-hour show.
Mora won the title of Contender Champion after the first season. He owns an 18-0 record, including 4-0 during The Contender. In his last fight in May, Mora defeated Archak TerMeliksetian in a seven-round TKO.
Each episode culminates in a five-round professional bout where the winner moves one step closer to the grand cash prize and a shot at the title of Contender Champion. The loser is eliminated from the show.
