Chat with Ward Serrill

Welcome to The Show! On Wednesday, August 9, Ward Serrill, director, writer and producer of the much talked about documentary, The Heart of the Game, will still stop by to take your questions on the film and much more.

When Serrill, a Seattle filmmaker, met Bill Resler, a college tax professor who moonlights as a girls' basketball coach, he didn't realize he was about to embark on an incredible 7-year odyssey. Serrill followed Ressler as he coached the Roosevelt High School girl's team and discovered an unbridled toughness, passion and energy he came to call The Heart of the Game.

The movie centers around Darnellia Russell, a tough, inner-city girl whose off-court struggles threaten her dream to play pro basketball, her loss of eligibility and her legal battle to get back on the court to play the game that means everything to her.

The film had its world premiere at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival where it garnered critical and audience acclaim. It is currently showing in theaters across the United States. For tickets and showtimes, visit www.movies.com.
