Spadea defeated Andreas Seppi in the first round of the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters in Cincinnati. He will now face Juan Ignacio Chela in the second round.

Spadea is a 14-year pro, who has over $4 million in career winnings. He is currently ranked 90th in the world. He won his only career singles title at Scottsdale in 2004, and also has won three doubles titles in his career.
