We're getting Mark. Send in your questions!
Buzzmaster (3:12 PM)
We're ready to go!
Martin (NY,NY)
How well did the current team know Bo? What kind of impact does this have on them?
Mark Snyder (3:13 PM)
They knew Bo very well. In fact he had an office in the building which is Schembechler Hall. He addressed the team yesterday. He's been everywhere this week to be a part of this because this is so much a part of him.
Rob (Cleveland)
Do you think that they will have a moment of silence before the game tomorrow to show respect of Bo's passing?
Mark Snyder (3:14 PM)
I believe they will. The AD implied that would be the case. Everyone feels that Ohio State will appriopriate and deal with this in the proper manner. Remember that Bo was at OSU as well.
Mark H. (Bowling Green, OH)
Will the fact that the Ohio State starters have not played a true all four quarters this season be a problem if the game is a slugfest Saturday?
Mark Snyder (3:14 PM)
Not necessarily. Good teams can play good games. They're not constricted by what happened before. The past few years have proven that.
Rob (Toledo)
Hey Mark, do you think home field advantage will be negated to a degree by the fact that OSU is more of an offensive team, and Mich more of a defensive power?
Mark Snyder (3:15 PM)
No. Crowds work for you with energy, especially with turnovers. The crowd can still energize a team.
Anthony (Cleveland
Which team do you think has the better ability to contain the other's special teams?
Mark Snyder (3:16 PM)
I think the special teams matchup very closely. Both teams have good returners and both teams cover kicks very well.
Rick, New Mexico
I've been a Michigan fan since I have been 8 yrs. old and I can't remember a bigger rivalry game between these two teams. In your opinion, do you think that Bo's passing away will help motivate Michigan to victory?
Mark Snyder (3:16 PM)
It's hard to tell what a tragedy like this effects on either side. If nothing else it takes the game with all the hype into perspective that it's just a game.
Adam (West Palm Beach, FL)
Mark, can we get your feelings about the passing of Bo on the eve of the game of the century?
Mark Snyder (3:18 PM)
Bo was great. I knew him when I was in college. I did an interview with him. I interacted with him in the years since. Years ago, I sat with him and he had me touch his pacemaker. That was Bo.
Rob (Charlton, MA)
What kind of pressure do you think DE LaMarr Woodley and CB Leon Hall will put on Ohio State's QB Troy Smith?
Mark Snyder (3:18 PM)
I think the Michigan d-line can pressure anyone including Troy Smith. He's a good QB but the Michigan line has not failed to get to anyone this year. That should not change even though Smith has had success against Michigan in the past.
Pete Cleveland, Ohio
Mark, when The Ohio State University beats that school up north tomorrow, who do you think they will play in the BCS National Championship game?
Mark Snyder (3:19 PM)
I think that whoever wins the game tomorrow has a good chance to play USC. The Trojans have improved since the season went on and have learned from their slip up.
Dan Goldstein (Providence, RI)
Given OSU's dangerous WR core and the issues Michigan's secondary has had covering them the past 2 years, who do you think it makes more sense for Leon Hall to match up with - Ginn or Gonzalez? I say Gonzalez because he's the more disciplined route runner and seems to be more dangerous in all phases of the passing game, not just the deep ball.
Mark Snyder (3:20 PM)
Michigan has a speedy corner in Morgan Trent who could probably matchup with Ginn on an athletic perspective, leaving Hall on the more physical Gonzalez.
David (Chicago, IL)
Who will make a better pro quarterback -Chad Henne or Troy Smith? Go Blue
Mark Snyder (3:21 PM)
The pro game is evolving as Mike Vick has shown this year, so they probably both have a spot in the pro game depsite their different styles.
Korey (Miamisburg, Ohio)
Mark, do you think weather could play a factor in this game and if it is raining who does that favor?
Mark Snyder (3:22 PM)
Both teams have strong running games, so adverse weather wouldn't effect the teams one way or the other.
Jon (East Lansing, MI)
Yo Mark! With your unbiased opinion who do you think will win Saturday? I know other beat reporters in town may secretly root for the Buckeyes... your not doing that are you?
Mark Snyder (3:23 PM)
I think this is a hard game to pick. I am unbiased, but these teams matchup well in all the spots. Someone usually emerges in these games as the special player. But bet on a long pass or a good return to swing the game.
Neil: (Washington, MI)
What do you think might have happened if Ohio State had played either Notre Dame or Wisconsin in the reg. season?
Mark Snyder (3:24 PM)
I think they would have handled them the same way Michigan handled them. Ohio State is an elite team and haven't had a problem with any team yet. That's why Michigan should be such an excellent game for them, because it's an appropriate matchup.
David (DC)
What's the word on Mario Manningham's knee. Is he going to have the burst that he showed before he got hurt?
Mark Snyder (3:24 PM)
Chad Henne said from what he saw against Indiana that Mario's back to 100%. That's all we know.
Tommy (Ohio)
Do you buy into the notion that Tressel has kept Troy Smith inside the pocket for the most part this season in part to set up a calculated ground attack by Smith in this game?
Mark Snyder (3:25 PM)
As important as this game is, I don't think Jim Tressel would change his game and his QB for this one game. Smith is a mobile QB who has developed his game.
Daniel (Bloomfield Hills, MI)
Do you think Lloyd is going to coach next season? For how many more years?
Mark Snyder (3:26 PM)
I don't know that he has a number of more years. Predicting when he will leave is foolish because only he knows. Tomorrow and the bowl game may play a part in when he leaves, but it's impossible to predict.
Neil: (Washington, MI)
Is the reason OSU hasn't had a problem with any team because they've only played one ranked team?
Mark Snyder (3:27 PM)
Undefeated is undefeated. In the Big 10 it's a tough schedule. They get to prove it tomorrow. If they win that game, it's hard to doubt them.
tom (louisville)
Mark, how do you think Louisville will finish out the season, any chance of a Bcs Bowl?
Mark Snyder (3:28 PM)
It looks like that will be difficult for them to get to the BCS title game because of all the teams that would have to lose. But with the BCS over the years, anything is possible.
Scott (Shippensburg)
Should Lloyd and the team do something special to remember Bo tomorrow, perhaps by wearing something on the helmet or by running the first play of the game with just ten players? Your thoughts/ideas?
Mark Snyder (3:29 PM)
I think all this happened just in the last couple of hours. They're still en route to Columbus. So to predict what will happen with the game or related to the game with Coach Schembechler is too early to tell.
Keith (Grand Rapids)
If undefeated is undefeated then why isn't Rutgers tied for #1? hey you said it not me.
Mark Snyder (3:30 PM)
I think a lot would have to happen for them to get the chance to play in the BCS title game. Rutgers is a talented defense with a strong running game. Who knows, they might get their chance to prove themselves on the national stage once again.
John, Akron
Pittman or Hart who would you rather have?
Mark Snyder (3:31 PM)
I've watched Hart a lot more than Pittman, and Hart is amazing. Carr called him one of the most overall talented players he's ever had. He's a unique player.
Matt (Scottsdale, AZ)
Do you see any chance that Mike Hart doesn't win the Heisman after a victory tomorrow??
Mark Snyder (3:32 PM)
For him to be the leader, he would have to have the game of his life. Troy Smith seems to be the clear front runner, and with a win could lock it up. Though Hart could get an invite with a strong performance.
Mark Snyder (3:33 PM)
It should be an all-time great game. Enjoy.
