Morrison was selected third overall, by the Bobcats, in the 2006 NBA Draft. The Gonzaga product has already made a big impact as a rookie, averaging 13.7 ppg, to go along with 3.20 rpg and 2.1 apg. His scoring average ranks second in the league among rookies.
Earlier this season, in November, Morrison was named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month. On December 30, 2006 Morrison scored a career high 30 points, in a 113-102 win over the the Indiana Pacers.
