dan (boston,ma)
HELLOOOO pulse!!!
Steve (Dallas)
Good to be back in the Pulse!
Steve (Dallas)
Pulse, good afternoon! Here is your NHL All-Star game report. The West won 12-9 snd I sat on the second row for the frist period, then sat upstairs for the rest of it. There were many celebrities. Edge from the WWE, Mark Messier, Kidd Kraddick. It was freakin' awesome! That was my first All-Star game!
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
what up pulse
THE PULSE (1:01 PM)
How is everyone today?
THE PULSE (1:02 PM)
Lots of good college hoops today, so we'll get a look at some of these early games.
john (alaska)
I wish the NHL would Realize that Alaska needs an NHL team, not Vegas!
Jeff (Tampa)
When and where can I see the Senior Bowl on TV?
THE PULSE (1:03 PM)
4 p.m. on the NFL Network, Jeff.
THE PULSE (1:03 PM)
eastern time, that is.
Jim (Boston,MA)
I'm still mad over the game that happend Thursday with Clemson and Duke.
THE PULSE (1:04 PM)
If you have any thoughts on the Big 12, feel free to send them in. We'll have Stephen Bardo joining us soon.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
what do u got for lunch today pulse?
THE PULSE (1:05 PM)
Just a quick ham sandwich, some chips and a brownie. Pretty busy prior to the show today.
Jake S. (New York, New York )
Why can't they have the Senior Bowl on ESPN?
THE PULSE (1:05 PM)
They used to, Jake, but this is the first year on the other network, I believe.
ryan (melrose,ma)
I don't think Sidney Crosby would be happy moving from Pittsburgh to Anchorage,Alaska.
Chris (Charlotte, NC)
When are the Louisville guys going to be on?
THE PULSE (1:06 PM)
Coach Pitino will be on first, in about 5 minutes.
charles (louisville)
Do ever watch Josh McRoberts closely? The guy travels more than American Airlines but never gets called for it.
Joey (New York)
Do you think after whats happening with the Reggie Bush story happening,Should college athlethes be paid while under a student athlete scholarship?
Jake S. (New York, New York )
Pulse you guys will keep us updated on the Senior Bowl right?
THE PULSE (1:09 PM)
We won't have to, because the game won't start until after the show's off the air.
THE PULSE (1:10 PM)
But ESPNEWS will continue to show updates during the 4-7 p.m. ET show, of course.
Jake S. (New York, New York )
Hey Pulse what about Crawford last night 52!!! I was there the Garden was going crazy
THE PULSE (1:11 PM)
Impressive, for sure, Jake. It's always fun watching someone score in bunches in person.
THE PULSE (1:13 PM)
And here's coach Pitino!
Bryan (Baltimore)
Hey pulse can Oden play with the NBA Big men
THE PULSE (1:14 PM)
I don't see why not. His offensive game still needs plenty of work, but he's very composed and rarely leaves his feet.
THE PULSE (1:15 PM)
On defense, that is...of course. Doesn't go for pump fakes very often.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Crawford was impressive, but how about the cavs coming back from over 15 without LeBron to win.
Marcus (Louisville)
What channel is espnnews
THE PULSE (1:15 PM)
Depends on your cable/satellite provider, Marcus.
Keith (Atlanta, Georgia)
I think that with maturity and time Oden will be able to play with NBA big men
Keith (Atlanta, Georgia)
What about Kobe being the youngest player in NBA history to reaxh 18,000 points
Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh,PA)
I'm happy where I am that is being in the great city of Pittsburgh!
Theo (Honolulu,HI)
If Alaska wants a team from the NHL,then We should get an NBA franchise.Hey,who wouldn't want to play in Honolulu.
CardFan (Chicago, Illinois)
When will Brohm and Coach Krag be on?
THE PULSE (1:17 PM)
Coach Krag will be on at about 2:10 ET...and Brohm at 3:10 ET.
ryan (melrose,ma)
Traveling agents wouldn't Theo.
Jeff Mullis (Ayden,NC)
Theo, it is too far a trip from the US to Honolulu.
charles (louisville)
What should we call Kragthorpe for short? Coach Krag? Coach Krags? Coach K? Coach Thorpe? Thorpedo?
THE PULSE (1:19 PM)
Coach Krag, from all accounts.
Jordan, Louisville
Is there a way to get the pulse in real time, having to refresh the webpage is weak.
THE PULSE (1:20 PM)
Yes, go to the SportsNation home page. It's one of the tabs across the top, to the right of the sports.
Greg (Ohio)
What's with ESPN not covering the Bush Scandel like they did with Maurice Clarett.Sometimes I just don't get that at all,Pulse.
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
sorry to change the subject to college Bball but no one seems to be putting florida on upset alert today at. auburn who whopped Alabama and tennesse Auburns kinda streakin so watch out gators
Jeff Mullis (Ayden,NC)
Hey pulse, who is the national player of the year so far? Tyler Hansburough-SIKE!!!
sean (chicago)
i got a question for brian brohm...where do i ask it? just on here or what?
THE PULSE (1:24 PM)
This is the spot, Sean.
Jordan (Louisville)
Looking at the poll to the right, you know brian brohm will take the lead by the end of the pulse. It's Louisville day!
Mike (Louisville)
Is Pitino late or something?
THE PULSE (1:25 PM)
He was already on, Mike. He was about 1:10 p.m. ET.
Jordan (Louisville)
Pat White is the best athlete on that poll, scared every time we play them.
charles (louisville)
The NCAA gave Ohio State a pass with Clarett. The same will happen with USC.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
what about North Carolina? Chase Budinger and Mustafa Shakur will take care of the Tar Heels.
Jeff Mullis (Ayden,NC)
Yo pulse, whos your favorite for XL1
THE PULSE (1:26 PM)
Sound off with your Super Bowl winner and we'll see if your comments make the show today!
ryan (melrose,ma)
Greg,it's because Bush is already in the NFL making money. If he did, Reggie did. Most players probably do the same thing. On the other hand,Pete Caroll and USC will be in a lot of trouble just ask SMU guys.
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
who else will be on today
THE PULSE (1:29 PM)
Taylor, coming up on the show will be Joe Lunardi with his bracketology, Todd McShay is the next guest, though. Later on, we'll have coach Kragthorpe and Brian Brohm from Louisville.
THE PULSE (1:30 PM)
Jeff Samardzija will also stop by in a couple hours.
Jason (Louisville, KY)
Do the questions we've already before the show began get read on the show AND on the chat or is it just showing on the TV show?
THE PULSE (1:30 PM)
Yes, those are considered as well, Jason.
Reggie (N.O.)
who cares if i rec'd money when i played at SC everyone else does, its just that i got caught
Bryan (Baltimore)
Colts 31 Bears 24
Steve (Dallas)
Colt Brennan, if he tries hard enough, can break every NCAA QB record there is!
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
I don't understand why Samardzija passed on the NFL for the Cubs. They never win.
Jeff (Los Angeles)
Bears 24 Colts 23
Nathan (smithville, TX)
I'm taking rough and tough chicago over prity and finesse colts! or should i say peyton manning not the whole team.
Scott (California)
A star college football player took money? No way.Would you feel the same way if Troy Smith was being investigated for the same thing?
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Bears 28 Colts 16
Chance (New Orleans)
34 Colts 13 Bears
Mike (Grand Rapids, MI)
Desmond Clark will be the X-factor in Thw SB. Short pass to Clark on 1st down, run Jones on 2nd. This will chew up the clock. Rex has to do very little and the Bears win 24-21
Mark (Boston)
Colts 42 Bears 23
Rich-Chicago
Defense wins championships...Bears 21 Colts 17
Bryan (Baltimore)
Dungie and Lovie have already won by just makeing history
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
Samardzija is just smart for going MLB...nevermind winning or losing with the Cubs, how about the more lucrative, guarenteed contracts and vastly longer lifespan of MLB players?
Mark (THE VILLE)
31 - 28 Colts win
khalil(dearborn,Michigan)
how is unc so low in the ranking at 4 to me they seem to be the best team in the nation
Josh (Florida)
The Cubs will win the Central this year. Watch and see!
matt, alaska
i like peyton in the game huge maybe a 37-17 win but peyton will be goin to disney world
Damon Jones (Ceveland)
I'm so darn good lookin. Did anybody notice I made 5 three-pointers last night?
Bryan (Baltimore)
Grossman will lose it for the bears
Josh (Florida)
Tuesday, watch Rex Grossman snap! The media will push his buttons so far that he goes off on the media
Josh (Columbus, Ohio)
Troy Smith took money also.
Josh (Florida)
Dallas Clark is the most underrated tightend in the game. He'll be the deciding factor in the Super Bowl
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Peyton Manning is going to choke since he is a regular season quaterback that cannot come up clutch in big games especially when you tell him to outplay Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher.
SaintsFan (Louisiana)
Did anyone notice "the worst superbowl qb ever" poll for cold pizza? Don't get me wrong im not supporting Rex, but how can you be one of the worst superbowl qb's if you haven't even played the game yet
THE PULSE (1:40 PM)
He has barely played over 20 games in the league, so I agree that was an unfair question. And no way he should have come close in the voting, either.
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
I'm just saying, 50th best MLB pitcher makes more $$ a year than the #1 NFL wide receiver.
Matt (Ohio)
Unfortunately Bears 24 Colts 10
ryan (melrose,ma)
Pulse, will you be covering National Signing Day?
THE PULSE (1:40 PM)
I would expect The Show to cover it quite well, so keep an eye out.
Mike (Grand Rapids, MI)
Did Grossman lose it for the Bears against the Seahawks or Saints? NO! Everybody needsa to get off Rex's back. I'd laugh if he came back with the SB MVP award.
Brian (Atlanta, GA)
Um, no Erik Ainge on that poll to the right?
THE PULSE (1:42 PM)
I'm sure he was one of the next guys, because he's obviously one of the best coming back. No question.
Rich-Chicago
Devon Hester will be the difference maker. Anyone remember Desmond Howard?
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
defense may win championships, but if you can't score, you can't win. Rex Grossman will choke. Colts 31 Bears 17
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
It's a bad question. Is that worst QB going into the game? Or the worst QB performance in the game? Or the worst career stats, or season stats, or playoff stats? It almost doesn't make any sense on its own.
THE PULSE (1:43 PM)
Since Rex hasn't played in the game yet, it's obviously speaking about career, but still Grossman doesn't deserve to be on that list.
SaintsFan (Louisiana)
good point ephraim
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Since when was the last time that the Colts were known for their defense.
Mark (THE VILLE)
I don't think Indy will kick it to him. (Hester)
johny (CHICAGO)
Rex Grossman will be the difference maker in the game hes gonna have a game of his life i bet hes sick of all this trash thats being talked about him colts defense better be ready
ryan (melrose,ma)
If the Bears can get a couple turnovers - they'll have a shot at winning. If they can't force one turnover, they're not coming within 7 points.
Josh (Florida)
Grossman is bound to have a bad game, but so is the Colts D. This might go into overtime. Colts 31 Bears 28
jason (baltimore)
Explain this to me. Wouldn't it have hurt Duke more for the clock not starting up 3 with 5 seconds left? Who knew that their would be a steal and a made 3 within that time. People's hatred towards Duke clowds their jugdment!
ryan (melrose,ma)
Since every so called expert called them dead Robbo. Bob Sanders is a difference maker for the Colts.
tyler cochran (elkton maryland)
a super bowl win will complete peytons legacy as the best quarterback ever!! go colts!
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Thomas Jones is going to have a big game by rushing for over 100 yards with Rex Grossman adding over 300 passing yards and Devin Hester dominating the Colts for 200 to 250 return yards.
Jim (Milwaukee, WI)
Rex has a cycle, it goes great game, mediocre game, then bad game, so Rex is due for a bad game. Colts win 35-9, and Sorgi gets a quarter to play (Go wisconsin QB's!).
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
What happened to Pulse. Where is he.
THE PULSE (1:52 PM)
Still here, JJ. Just being a good listener.
Josh (Florida)
How is Shaq in the allstar game?! Ben Wallace from my Bulls deserves to be in there. This whole allstar voting in the NBA is absurd!!!
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Who is the next guest on this program and when will he be on?
THE PULSE (1:54 PM)
There's a GameDay segment coming up next, but the first guest in the next hour is Steve Kragthorpe, the new head football coach at Louisville.
Kevin (Philly)
Your Ben Wallace? What about Dwight Howard who gets the starting snub.
Matt (Rochester, New York)
UCONN looks horrible this year, they wouldn't make the dance at this point.
David (Phelps)
Why is no one considering Louisville as a bubble team?? I think that they're tied for second in the big east! I know they lost some bad games early...but they look like they've found some rhythm and have 2-3 recent quality wins. What does Louisville have to do to be considered for the NCAA tournament?
THE PULSE (1:56 PM)
It's still early, so if they keep winning, they won't have to worry about it.
Mike (Grand Rapids, MI)
Was the Saints game Rex's mediocre game? Rex had a great pass to Berrian for a TD and some driving-continuing passes to Mushin and Desmond. So he passed for 144 yards. Didn't need to pass all that much with Jones and Benson running the ball all day long
Josh (Florida)
What channel does ESPNEWS come on if you have Adelphia? I've never been able to see the show since I moved.
THE PULSE (2:00 PM)
You just have to check your guide, Josh. It can be different in each area. Sorry!
Ryan (NJ)
When can i talk to my man Brian Brohm? or did i miss him?
THE PULSE (2:01 PM)
He will be on at about 3:10 ET, Ryan.
Bryan Ratterman (Louisville,Ky)
I know I have been really watching Amobi Okoye in the Senior Bowl, and I know he is one of the best players to come out of the program. He is only 19 years old too. All I have to say is that is very impressive!!!
Matt (Rochester, New York)
This is a big win for IU, bad loss against the "Fighting Illini".
Jake S. (New York, New York)
Here in NY it is 120
THE PULSE (2:02 PM)
I hope that helps you find it on your system, Josh.
Bryan Ratterman (Louisville,Ky)
Don't get me wrong I know Bobby Petrino was a great great coach, but he wasn't really a person that got involved with the players he just thought of hiself as a coach. With Steve Kragthorpe I think Louisville really got not only a great coach, but a great person who got involved with the players. He is not only a coach he is going to be the players great friends as well.
David (New Orleans)
Can you believe that Amobi was just 16 when he started playing for Louisville? That's crazy!
Jake S. (New York, New York)
When is Jeff Samardzija coming on?
THE PULSE (2:04 PM)
He'll be on toward the end of The Pulse...about 3:40 ET.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Shaq doesnt deserve to be even a reserve....I hate to say it....he had a great career but the all star game should be about this season and nothing else....bad voting fans...just bad voting!!!!
Josh (Florida)
Doesn't anybody know that you can't hire a college coach anymore? Just ask the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.
charles (louisville)
I would love to see a Bobby Petrino-Bill Belicheck joint press conference. Wow, the charisma!
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
It didn't matter for butch davis coming out of college for the browns. I'm a die-hard fan but the Browns stink no matter what.
Josh (Florida)
If Cam Cameron can find the right qb, I really do think Miami can make it back to the playoffs nextyear.
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
helton to the sox? i hope they have enough handicap parking at fenway.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Duke is so lucky.........they are the Notre Dame of basketball.....people dont look at the product....just the name
Matt (Rochester, New York)
The Aggies are going to kill the Sooners, 4-1 in the Big 12 and 16-3 overall.
Ryan (NJ)
UNC gets Butch Davis for next year, does it matter?
Rich-Chicago
Hey Pulse, do you think Favre is coming back and when do you think he'll anounce his decision?
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
eh, the all-star game is about who fans want to see, nothing more and nothing less.
Joe (Louisville, KY)
What channel is Brian Brohm and Kragthorpe going to be on..ESPN News?
THE PULSE (2:12 PM)
Yes, Joe...Coach is on right now.
Brian (Maryville IL)
Another Cameron mystery...how much do these refs get paid?
Joe (Louisville, KY)
What channel? Where can I hear coach?
THE PULSE (2:14 PM)
It depends on your cable system, Joe. Just check your channel guide.
Nathan (Louisville, Ky)
ch 513
Owen (Providence, RI)
PC is looking like they got the chance for NCAA with big win at UConn.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Briam Brohm is a system Qb...needs to be in the right system or he will not do well.....the spread.....cant do that all the time in the pros....just cant
Josh (Florida)
Why shouldn't Favre come back? The Packers can be a #5 seed in the horendous NFC next year.
Anthony (Cleveland)
207 if you got Direct tv
Joe (Louisville, KY)
Can I hear ESPN news online? Dont have the channel on TV here in Louisville. Thanks Insight!
THE PULSE (2:18 PM)
Sorry, Joe...you cannot get it online.
Brian (Maryville IL)
UConn can't beat anybody these days...they won't even make the Big East tourney!
Kevin (Philly)
I am not sure how big of a deal beating UConn is these days
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Pulse, do you think that Tank Johnson should be able to play in the Super Bowl?
THE PULSE (2:19 PM)
What does everyone think about ol' Tank?
Ricky (Arkansas)
Aaron Rodgers isn't ready, he proved that
Anthony (Cleveland)
your right josh...that D will get better for the packers....AJ Hawk...pro bowler next year...he is the real deal
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
yea as of rite now they wouldnt make the Big East Tourney
Tim (Providence)
The PC Friars just had their first road win in the Big East. Do you think they have a chance to make the tournment and if so maybe be a surprise team out of the Big East????
Josh (Florida)
That's what they said bout Syracuse last year, and look what happened.
Jim (Milwaukee, WI)
Didn't Favre say that this was one of the most tallented teams he's ever been on? With a good draft we could be looking at a division title.
Dooskers (Chicago)
Sure. Why not...
Ricky (Arkansas)
If the judge says he can go play, then why not.
Christian (High Point, NC)
I think Tank has a brilliant future on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Christian (High Point, NC)
Can't you listen to ESPNNews on ESPN Radio Online??
THE PULSE (2:21 PM)
XM Radio and maybe Sirius, too...not sure. But not online.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Dooskers....I think that answer is a little biased
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
you can hear ESPN News online at Espnradio.com...
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
Look, it's football, not Church. If he qualifies to play, than he plays.
Josh (Florida)
Pulse, would a judge let you leave the state if you did what he did? No! Athletes gets off so much easily it's outragous.
Anthony (Cleveland)
JJ in sandusky i think he shouldnt be aloud....if it is a normal person they wouldnt be aloud to go on a business trip to Miami ...the company would have to have someone else go for them.....just athlete pampering thats all
Ricky (Arkansas)
Favre is just trying to do to much
Jim (Milwaukee, WI)
I think that the Super Bowl is work related, but somehow Tank will mess it up, somehow. Whether its during the weeks before, or after, he will end up missing a few years(in jail). He brings his problems on himself, and he will probably bring another problem home from the Super Bowl "experience."
Christian (High Point, NC)
Pulse, you can listen online: http://espnradio.espn.go.com/espnradio/radiovideo?id=1058218andtype=show
THE PULSE (2:25 PM)
You're outstanding, Christian. Thank you.
Keith B.
I know G. Oden is a great player and will be a force in the NBA! However, comparing his stats to past college big men may not be a fair comparison when considering past players played against upperclassmen that didn't go straight to the NBA like the players of today. What do you think?
Kevin (Philly)
What is with the PC talk? 4-3 in conference and if you were to read this board you would think they were gonna win the Big East
nathan (michigan)
brian brohm is not consistant brady quinn is the future and jemarcus russellis the future
Josh (Florida)
Bengals should just cut everybody that's been arrested. If they don't make the playofffs next year, I think Marvin Lewis is gone, and that's not fair!
ryan (melrose,ma)
Christian is greatness.Thank you,Pulsers!!
Aaron ((ATL))
Brian Brohm was alot more consistent than Either one of those two this past season.
Tsmooth (Atlanta,Ga)
I agree Josh. Carson Palmer is absolutely fed up with this nonsense. Bengals, should be fined or banned from the NFL.
THE PULSE (2:31 PM)
Dhani Jones is coming up to discuss the NFL.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
I don't like brady quinn very much. But his sister can hang out with me whenever she wants.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Keith i think the playing field evens out for Oden and past players....considering Oden is playing offense with one hand
Grant (The Ville)
How is Brian Brohm not consistent? Maybe he wasnt perfect playing with a bum thumb, but he stepped up in big games to say the least.
John Madden
If Favre comes back and miraculously takes the Pack to the Superbowl, they should pull a Gretzky and just retire his number across the league. Boom! There I said it!
Brian (Maryville IL)
Browns need to draft Adrian Peterson...he is the future of their program cuz Droughns is not gonna take you to the promise land.
Rich-Chicago
Hey JJ, good luck with the A.J.Hawk thing!
ryan (melrose,ma)
Just Move the Bengals franchise to Alaska that would be a great punishment.
Phillip (Austin, tx)
Durant for player of the year anyone?
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
How bout Rutgers did he step up then???
Ricky (Arkansas)
Heisman coming to Arkansas next year?
Jake S. (New York, New York)
Pulse is there a MVP named at the Senior Bowl?
THE PULSE (2:34 PM)
Yes, in fact, there may be one for each team.
Phillip (Austin, tx)
im sorry to say brian there are alot of players in this world that wont lead the browns to the promise land. not just droughns. I dont think peterson will be the ANSWER.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
The only way Cleveland is gonna see the Super Bowl in my lifetime is on Television
Aaron (the ATL)
Ha, zing. And agreed JJ. I've been left unimpressed by Brady.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Dhani Jones is going to make one heck of an Analyst with his cool Bowties
Jim (Milwaukee, WI)
if that happened the browns would have a core of great players, Braylon Edwards, Charlie Frye, and Peterson. Now all they would need is a defensive line, linebackers, a secondary, a offensive line, and a new owner who's willing to spend money.
THE PULSE (2:37 PM)
We're about to fire you all up again by showing that poll question from Cold Pizza earlier this week.
Mark (Aliso Viejo, CA)
Man, the Heels are playing without 3 key players (Wright, Ginyard, and Frasor) and they're up 20+ on the road against a ranked team. Huge confidence boost for the Heels freshmen!
Brian (Maryville IL)
You can't talk Shaun...the Detroit Lions need to forfeit their franchise...they're terrible!!
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
Dhani Jones might as well be an analyst because he pretty much sucks as a linebacker...
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
Was anybody on here even alive when Vince Ferragamo played?
phillip (austin, tx)
which poll ?
THE PULSE (2:39 PM)
The worst Super Bowl QB ever one.
Mike (Tucson)
Lute Olson has lost control of this team
Josh (Stuart Florida)
I feel sorry for whoever the Raiders pick. Does it really matter, anyway
Ephraim R. (Maple Shade, NJ)
who was the chargers QB in the super bowl? wasn't it stan humphries or billy joe whelahan or something like that?
phillip (austin, tx)
i can answer that one easily. Who CARES.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Trent dilfer no question about it
THE PULSE (2:40 PM)
At least his team won the game, though.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
The lions dont exist as a franchise here in Michigan
phillip (austin, tx)
all i know is its not rex grossman
david (NC)
it was stan humphries ephraim
Jake (Wimington)
I think that the Chicago Bears will shock the world and win the Super Bpowl
Mike (Grand Rapids, MI)
Tony Eason? I forgot about him. I remember Grogan filling in. How about Craig Morton (SB12)?
Anthony (Cleveland)
yea ...because of Rey Lewis and the goose
Christian (High Point, NC)
I'm digging that bowtie!
Rich-Chicago
If Tiger and Snedecker (who?) end up in the final pair, Snedecker is going to post an 85 after he wets himself on the first tee!
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Grossman is probably loving all the disbelievers. He'll probably use this energy to become one of the greatest sb qbs ever
Christian (High Point, NC)
Is it just me, or is the Super Bowl XLI hype diminished this year compared to prior years?
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
Jeff Garcia isn't coming back. The rumor in Philly is that AJ Feeley was already promised the backup job behind McNabb...which Garcia is gone in Philly.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
How can anyone say Brohm is on Henne's level? Brohm has a New Coach and no established running game. Henne has a great coach, great RB, great set of WR's, Best OL in the country
Anthony (Cleveland)
Shaun....I think you are a little biased...then again maybe i am too....go buckeyes
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
But look were your from Michigan Boy
alex (arkansas)
is the biggest story line leading up to the super bowl really Peytons thumb?
DELGADO (POUGHKEEPSIE,N.Y.)
YO,DHAHI LOOKS LIKE A PROFESSER FROMU.C.L.A. MEDICAL SCHOOL.
phillip (austin, tx)
as far as going to the pros goes henne is a level below brohm. the fact that henne has all the great wr's and all that just shows that louisville isnt on michigans level.
Anthony (Cleveland)
I think so Christian...last year it was on every channel you watched ...this year it is hardly on ESPN
Josh (Stuart, FL)
All the hype is nonsense. It's just on the "first black coaches" and "worst sb qb" in Rex Grossman. Somebody needs to do some trash talking
THE PULSE (2:51 PM)
Tune in on Tuesday for media day.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Biased? look at the stats...Hart,Jake Long and Henne are all sure fire first round picks
phillip (austin, tx)
pulse if you want to get me going ask everyone who is better now: oden or durant. also ask who they would draft first.
Rich-Chicago
And I thought I was a fashion disaster. Dhani, whatup with that look?!
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
The fans are the worst part of playing in Philly?!? Dhani hasn't forced or recovered ONE TURNOVER IN TWO YEARS, and we're the bad guys? You suck so it's our fault, right Dhani?
victor alexandria, la
if tiger is in the Lead i want to be the first to know about it.
THE PULSE (2:53 PM)
He's within two shots, so it might not be long, Victor.
Ronak (NY)
I think Kevin Durant is better of the two but I would draft Greg Oden first because of all the potential he has. I think Kevin Durant is the best he can be right now and I think Greg Oden will get much better.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Who cares about Oden and Durant! They have no shot against NC or Florida
Aaron (Chapel Hill)
Say what you want, I want Durant to be a Bobcat next year.
Anthony (Cleveland)
no...Henne is not a for sure first round pick....he is playing next year....injury could happen or he could play horriible you never no...nothing is for sure in life
Josh (Stuart, FL)
They said the same thing bout Ryan Leaf. How did he do? I'm not sold on Henne just yet
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Is there a bigger sure bet then Tiger Woods within 3 or 4 shots heading into day 3 ending up winning??
James (Rolfe, Iowa)
The fans are the worst part of playing in Philly. You ran A.I out of town.
brock (Williamsburg, VA)
Oden looks like LeBron James, but LeBron in 10 years and with a beard. He's a manchild.
Joe (Louisville)
Henne is way overrated. Brohm is way better. He has a better arm and can read defenses better and apparently can win the big one.
James (Rolfe, Iowa)
Oden will be a better force in the NBA then Durant will
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Trash talking, Josh? Alright. I'm going to go Jerry Porter on the Bears then. They are from the nfc and can't play with the speed of the colts. It was just like my beloved Buckeyes losing to the quicker Gators.
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
I care about Oden and Durant...I'm a Sixers fan, and if we keep winning were not gonna get either of them.
brock (Williamsburg, VA)
Oden fully recovered and not shooting foul shots left-handed is better than Durant by Draft time.
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
The Pulse, or the Flyers-Rangers...what to watch...
Anthony (Cleveland)
Shaun if there was one bet i had to take it is Tiger
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Brohm is at Louisville, Henne is at Michigan! Thats like saying the Devil Rays have a shot winning agaisnt the Yankees this year!!!
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Jerry Porter should go to Detroit, He would make a great #2 with Roy Williams
Brock (Williamsburg, VA)
Henne is going to be like Drew Henson. Except Henne can't refuse to play until he's traded to the Yankees.
Chris (La Canada, CA)
What do you think of Stanford, and the twins, Brook and Robin Lopez? How about those 12 blocks in one game against #25 USC?
phillip (austin, tx)
it doesnt matter how good oden is he will still get drafted #1. that is if he comes out of school.
Josh (Stuart, FL)
I'd take Durant over Oden. Gators made Oden look TERRIBLE earlier in the season. Other teams need to do what the Gators did.
Rich-Chicago
Hey Pulse fans, do yourself a favor and check out a Penguins game. Sidney Crosby is going to go down as the best ever. Yes, better than THE GREAT ONE!
Joe (KY)
Just because you cant ohio staye dont blame that on Brohm?
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
One Saturday, maybe five years from now, the Flyers are going to win on a Saturday, and I'm gonna miss it. It will be like missing the OJ in the Bronco chase, and I will be a less complete human because I was watching Ole Miss-Vandy on the Pulse.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
I think i'd rather watch Dari sing then watch Hockey
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
Jerry Porter in Detroit. Just what Matt Millen needs; another overrated, problem child at receiver...
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Greg Oden draws comparisons to Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Kevin Garnett and Bill Russell but the Celtics will be glad to take him with the number one pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
YOU WANT TO BRAG ON BASKETBALL GAMES TAKE aUBURNS ABSOULUTE THRASHING OF ALABAMA 81-57 ON NATIONAL TV
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Josh, if you didn't notice, that was only Oden's second game back from the injury. I'd Like to see Noah come back from wrist surgery and play like a star.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Josh it was Odens 2nd or 3rd game...o yeah and he played basicly one handed
Jeremy (Louisville)
Kentucky smashed Auburn. We will win the SEC even though everyone is calling for Tubby's head.
Jeremy (Louisville)
Greg Oden actually plays defense and has limited scoring because of his hand... I believe he is next Patrick Ewing!
Brock (Williamsburg, VA)
I'll second that, as an Auburn grad Taylor. War Eagle! Alabama can keep on choking as far as I'm concerned.
Brock (Williamsburg, VA)
Kentucky can go 15-15 and they will still be ranked and get into the tournament. They're terrible.
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Yeah, and George Mason will get back to the final four. Gators are clearly the best in the SEC and in the country
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Just imagine what Oden will be like for the Buckeyes next year with both hands. He's not going to the draft everyone. He said he needs a couple of more years to flourish.
Brock (Williamsburg, VA)
Oden hasn't had much of a chance recently. Their offense was shoot as many 3s as we can against Wisconsin. They changed and now focus more on Oden and he's shinging.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Next year? You think oden's going to stay? Thats like saying there's a chance for Simon Cowell to win an Emmy for being a jerk
THE PULSE (3:10 PM)
Brian Brohm will be on the show real soon, everyone.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Josh...they might be the best now...but UCONN was last year.....so anything can happen...the buckeyes and tar heels are just going to keep getting better and bondin with each other
abe (blacksburg, VA)
there is no chance that oden stays. none at all. it will be oden first pick, durant # 2
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Brohm's draft stock will plummet this year with a new coach and losing michael buih
Anthony (Cleveland)
Shaun you dont live in Ohio so you dont know what is going on with our teams.....he says he wants to so all we can do is believe him and wait and see
Rich-Chicago
Wisconsin will be the #1 team in the country. It's not a matter of if but when!
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Durant is like Terence Dials. He'll be conference player of the year but he'll be nothing in the nba.
THE PULSE (3:15 PM)
Oh boy...that's sure to light the room on fire. How could you compare Durant to Dials?
Anthony (Cleveland)
Being #1 doesnt mean anything because in basketball you get a playoff unlike in football
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Anthony...Did you believe Nick Saban was gonna stay at Miami when he said he was going too as well?
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Wisconsin is the only team that scares me. Can somebody please stop Tucker from scoring all those points
Joe (KY)
Wisconsin, are you kidding me? UNC is way better, playing in a tougher conference. Who is in the big ten besides Ohio st, and Wisconsin?
abe (blacksburg, VA)
Virginia Tech can win the ACC they are looking strong this year
Jackson (Wichita(KS))
you have to remember he is playing with a bad wristhe is still a straight up baller
Tsmooth (Atlanta,Ga)
Shaun get over it. He Lied!!
ryan (melrose,ma)
I'm off to dook land guys for tomorrows game versus BC.Have a great weekend Pulse!!
THE PULSE (3:18 PM)
Anthony, your comment on Brohm earlier might make it on the show here after the interview.
Rich-Chicago
Sorry Josh. Tucker is unstoppable. Will be National Player of the Year. Hands down.
Drew (Louisvile)
Earlier someone said that Brohm's draft would plummet because Bush won't be there is hilarious. Bush ony played the first 2 quarters of the year then was hurt, not to play again last year. Louisville didn't have Bush last year.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
I can compare them because terence was a great player but too short to be a center, and too tall to be a forward. He wouldn't have done much in the nba.
THE PULSE (3:21 PM)
...and this is why we all have our opinions. I respectfully disagree with even comparing the two players.
abe (blacksburg, VA)
whats everyones early picks for final four?
Joe (Clemson,SC)
I hope B.C. beats the living daylights out of Dook tomorrow.
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Florida, Wisconsin, UNC, and UCLA. Florida will play Wisconsin. And the Gators WILL STOP TUCKER as they win back to back national titles.
abe (blacksburg, VA)
I want BC to lose so VTECH can hold some power in the ACC
Boomer (Chicago)
if the colts play a finese game on super bowl sunday. they will get the snot kicked out of them. the bears will punish them
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
So suddenly everyone actually believe Greg oden is gonna stay in school and give up the #1 pick in the draft? He's not stupid and he wont make the msitake Matt leinart made
Joe (KY)
Durant, Hansbourgh what about these guys Rich?
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
Wisconsin, NC., Florida, TAMU
Jackson (Wichita(KS))
Wichita State Shockers will return to the way they were playing early in the season tonight when they win @Evansville tonight
Joe (Clemson,SC)
Clemson,UNC,B.C.,VT.ACC final four baby hosted by Dickie V!
Justin Lexington Ky
I dont care what anyone says UK is going to be a force to be reckoned come March.
Harris (Louisville, KY)
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm no
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
AND!!!!! Gators will lose in ohh about 1 and a half hours
Rich-Chicago
Wisco, Florida, Ohio State, and UCLA. Too tough to repeat. Wisconsin takes it all.
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
My early picks for the Final Four are North Carolina,Florida, Kansas and Wisconsin.
Keith (Cali)
After the de-pantsing AZ just got on national TV, can everyone PLEASE stop talking about how great/deep the PAC-10 is this year??
phillip jackson (detroit)
PLEASE!!!!! Durant will be coference poy but he will also be a star in the NBA! mark my words.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Kentucky!? Besides Randolph Morris, name one person on their team.
Josh (Stuart, FL)
uhhhhhhhhhhhh, NO! Gators won't lose so you can get that out of your head
Luis (Bronx,NY)
Leinahart didnt really lose out that much. He got a nice contract and is now placed in a much better situation than Alex Smith
Bryan (Russell, KY)
Florida, UNC, Wisconsin, Memphis
John (Connecticut)
that would be awesome to have Helton in beantown...what a lineup we would have!!
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
everyone isnt giving UCLA their respect, Watch out
Sam (Indianapolis)
Wisconsin, UCLA, Notre Dame, and Butler. Those are my teams
Anthony (Cleveland)
Wisc....OSU.....FU....and my suprise.........Oregon
Anthony (Cleveland)
Josh you really went out on a limb....picking the top four team in the country...you got guts...o yea and you biased
dominic (holland,mi)
Wisconsin isnt that good teams just need to learn how to go inside on them
nick (mt.carmel,il)
colts 31-14 over the bears if you ask me...peyton will get 250+ yards 3td's and maybe a pick ...what do you say about that
Dominic (holland,mi)
Florida, UCLA, UNC, and VT
Bryan (Russell, KY)
Seriously Justin, how can you say that they will be a force to be reckoned with...once they get into the meat of their SEC schedule, they're toast!!!
abe (blacksburg, VA)
oregon i like that thas a good sleeper
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Are you kidding Luis?! The 49ers can make the playoffs in the nfc. The Cardinals will finish with the worst record in the nfc. Leinart isn't nothing in Arizona. Trade him to the Dolphins! We can use him.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Ohio State, Florida, UCLA, Arizona
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
are you kidding me ND, and Butler no way!!
Rich-Chicago
Marquette is my dark horse for a Final Four bid. Yeah, I know, D Wade is not there anymore!
Joe (Louisville)
Dude Wisconsin is not that good. Sorry but Tucker does nothing against Florida with Noah and Hortford guarding him. Plus Tucker is an undersized PF. Sorry he is not that good, Noah is better.
Rashard (Joppatowne)
Texas is a team that really lost their edge this season. They need to get back into the Top 25
Justin Lexington Ky
Crawford, Bradley, Perry, Orbutz, Thomas, Meeks, Jasper, Porter, Curry, Harris, Carter whos injured. We shut down mister Hansbourgh at Chapel Hill
Shane (Wabash,IN)
John Good Luck with J.D. Drew! I am a Dodgers fan and have watched him under achieve the past two seasons! Over-rated
John (Norwich, CT)
Bears D is going to take over indianapolis's offense...you have to remember defense wins championships!!!
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
I like Oregon Anthony. Brooks right now is one of the best players in the country.
Jake (Grafton, WI)
I know that Wisconsin is ranked #3, but I still don't think that the Badgers get the recognition they deserve...Teams like Clemson get more respect than Wisconsin
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
North Carolina will easily win this year's March Madness tournament.
phillip jackson (detroit)
florida unc osu ucla and osu wins it all
Shane (Wabash,IN)
right on John!
Mike T. (Piscataway, NJ)
Leonard is going to surprise people today in the bowl. He cut to 225 for the game.
Anthony (Cleveland)
None of us can really pick a final four...we dont know who will be seeded where...so some of these might be imposible to happen
Shane (Wabash,IN)
Nick, I say you must have been digging into michael vick's water bottle! Bears win 27-21
Jeremy (Louisville)
UNC.. FU.. Bama... Ucla
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Kansas has fallen off the map a little. I'm disappointed since I had them losing to Florida bout a month ago.
phillip jackson (detroit)
maybe but last i checked the colts have peyton .enough said
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Alando Tucker will be a better player in the NBA than Joakim Noah, sorry Joe from so-called Louisville
Robbo (Charlton,MA)
Hey, Kentucky fan you guys had a fortunate game against UNC and your only consistent player is Randolph Morris.
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
hahahaha good one bama in the final four hahahaha
Shane (Wabash,IN)
Hey Phill I think the Colts have had Peyton since 1998..how rings does he have.......enough said
Wingo (Deptford, NJ)
LET'S GO FLYERS!!! to the 2008 season, please..
Aaron (the ATL)
I thought they were improving until they back to back lost to vandy and UGA
Anthony (Cleveland)
Shane....how long did it take Elway......enough said...i got ur back phil
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Is it me or am i the only one who suddenly is a Huge fan of Gilbert Arenas
Shane (Wabash,IN)
did Elway have the receivers that manning has?
Marco (Texas)
Rex Grossman,4td passes,maybe 1 pick.Peyton,2 picks 2td's.Final,41-20
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Peyton needs to won gainst Rex if he wants a Super Bowl. He doesn't get that many chances. Just ask Dan Marino!
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
right there with i love Arenas's game
Aaron (the ATL)
Uh, it's you. Lots of people have been giving Gilbert props as of late.
Anthony (Cleveland)
Arenas is starting to get too cocky...hear what he said about duke...84-85 points...get real
THE PULSE (3:44 PM)
We'll have Jeff Samardzija after this Joe Lunardi segment, to bring a strong finish to the show.
abe (blacksburg, VA)
im from DC ive seen it live AGENT 0 is amazing
John (Norwich, CT)
Peyton is going to choke especially with that great bears D...bears over colts 27-13
Anthony (Cleveland)
the bears d is not that great anymore....the lose of brown was 2 much
Aaron (the ATL)
Yeah, he probably shouldn't have said that, but I'm not a big CoachK/duke fan so i'll let it slide.. HIBACHI
Luis (Bronx,NY)
What happened to Brian Brohm???
THE PULSE (3:46 PM)
He was on a while ago.
Anthony (Cleveland)
how late does the pulse go
THE PULSE (3:46 PM)
The Pulse ends in about 13 minutes, but this chat might end a tad earlier.
Tim (Rochester, NY)
Wait till you all see how badly Grossman chokes @ the Super bowl!!!
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Anthony, I swear you and me think exactly alike. I was going to say the same thing about Arenas.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
How come everyone doubts Manning? how cna u doubt Manning and NOT doubt the worst Qb in the playoffs in Grossman
Josh (Stuart, FL)
Nothing wrong with being cocky, especially sice you're the best in the east and probably the best in the league
Taylor ((Mobile, Alabama))
he drops 60 on the purple and yellow why not the overrated dukies???
Tim (Rochester, NY)
P. Manning is going to pick apart the Chicago Def.!!!! Mark my words!
Derek (NJ)
When can I talk to Jeff Samardzija? I'd like to ask him what made him choose Baseball over Football.
THE PULSE (3:48 PM)
He'll be on right after Lunardi is done. And I'm sure he'll be asked that question, so stay tuned.
Shane (Wabash,IN)
The Bears D may not be great, but was the Titans, Jags, Cowboys D great?
Mike (Grand Rapids, MI)
If Grossman was the worst QB in the playoffs, how is he going to the SB and Brees and Hasselback watching it on television?
Dominic (Holland, MI)
He said he wouldnt pass it at all it would be like a video game, i'll give him 95
THE PULSE (3:49 PM)
And here comes Samardzija, everyone.
JJ Sandusky, Ohio
Josh, there is no way that the Wizards are the best in the league. Look at the mavs and the suns.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Mike, It's simple...Good Defense that makes plays
Dominic (Holland, MI)
Everyone knows why he choose baseball over football, did you see how he preformed in big games like michigan, usc, and lsu
Aaron (the ATL)
B/c of the grinding Bears Running, NOT his arm
Josh (Stuart, FL)
I'm talking about Arenas, not the Wizards! Of course the Wizards aren't the best in the league.
Shaun (Grand Rapids,MI)
Michigan people are ruling this chat today
Joe (Louisville)
Samardzija could have been a good receiver in the NFL making a instant impact, but in baseball it will take him at least a couple years to make it to the majors...What a waste of talent.
THE PULSE (3:54 PM)
Jeff takes the Bears to win the Super Bowl!
Shane (Wabash,IN)
I can think of 10 million reasons why he chose to do it!
THE PULSE (3:54 PM)
Well, that's going to do it for the Pulse, everyone. Have a great rest of the weekend. Thank you for joining us today!
