In 2006, Carroll finished his fourth season with D.C. United. The midfielder scored one goal and had three assists for D.C. last season. He played in and started 31 games for D.C., missing only one, as the team went 15-7-10.
Carroll is also coming off of Team USA's 2-0 win over Mexico in international play. Carroll came off the bench for USA, replacing Clint Dempsey in the 75th minute.
