Chat with Randy Couture
Couture shocked the UFC world Saturday night when he came out of retirement to dominant reigning heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in the title bout in UFC 68: The Uprising. The 43-year-old earned a unanimous decision while improving his record to 15-8 over his career.
Couture is a five-time champion in the UFC, becoming the first fighter in history to be a title holder in two weight classes. His last fight was over a year ago, in February 2006, when he lost to Chuck Liddell by knockout in the second round in UFC 57.
In 2006, Couture was elected into the UFC Hall of Fame, only the fourth fighter to earn the honor. In 2005, the fans voted him the most popular UFC fighter ever.
Couture recently was the subject of a documentary by director Pericles Lewnes entitled ''FIGHTER, a documentary.'' The film depicts Couture's start in mixed martial arts.
