''Sugar'' Shane Mosley will be the chief sparring partner for Oscar De La Hoya.

Mosley has signed on to be Oscar De La Hoya's sparring partner, as De La Hoya prepares for his May 5 meeting with Floyd Mayweather Jr., which will be HBO PPV. Mosley is the only fighter to defeat De La Hoya twice. Two of the legendary light middleweight's losses have come at the hands of Mosley. De La Hoya enters the ring against Mayweather with a career record of 38-4.

Mosley will start De La Hoya's training camp on the heels of his 12-round decision over Luis Collazo. The win improved Mosley's career record to 44-4, with 37 knockouts.
