Cooper played in his first season in MLS last year, posting 11 goals and four assists. He was second on the team in goals, two behind team-leader Carlos Ruiz.
Cooper graduated from high school in 2003 and signed a three-year contract with Manchester United. He played regularly for United's reserve team during his time with Manchester. He signed with FC Dallas in February 2006.
