Hartman, a three time MLS all-star, is the leagues all-time leader in Goals Against Average (his career average currently stands at 1.18). In 1999 he was recognized as the leagues best GK, when he was honored with the Goalkeeper of the Year award. Last season Hartman made 88 saves, had a 1.14 GAA, and recorded 9 shutouts, in 28 games, as a member of the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Hartman has experienced a great deal of team success to go along with his individual achievements, winning two MLS Cups and two U.S. Open Cups, while starting in net for the Galaxy. Following the 2006 season Hartman was traded to the Kansas City Wizards, after spending his entire ten year career in Los Angeles.
