Chat with Contender's Freddy Curiel
United States captain ''Sugar'' Ray Leonard leads an all-star team from Contender's past in an exhibition against Great Britain's best and brightest. Six fighters from the United States will take on six fighters from the United Kingdom in a team-versus-team competition for country pride, reputation and glory.
Curiel is a force to be reckoned with. Realizing his love of boxing at a young age Freddy began his amateur career at only 14 years of age. In 1994, at the age of 19, Freddy decided to take his career to the next step by turning pro. In his first professional bout against Roberto Sierra, Freddy fought hard and steadfast to take the win. Freddy soon followed that victory by winning 12 consecutive fights, not to mention defeating Abraham Buruno in the 1996 match at Madison Square Garden, NY.
Freddy will chat on Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET. Send in your questions now and come back on Wednesday for the chat!
