Matt Leinart threw for over 2,500 yards in 12 games in his rookie season in 2006.
Leinart was the 10th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He took over the starting QB position for Arizona by Week 5 of the 2006 season. In his rookie season, Leinart threw for 2,547 yards to lead all rookies. He also threw for 11 TDs, second among rookie QBs.
