Buzzmaster (11:21 AM)
Hello from Madison Square Garden! We'll get this chat rolling at 7 p.m. ET tonight with Chris Sherdian! Then stick around as we chat with all the prospects soon after they are picked! Start sending your questions and comments now!
Buzzmaster (6:41 PM)
What's up everybody? We'll be chatting tonight LIVE from the WaMu Theater in Madison Square Garden. We're going to try and grab as many of the players as we can as they make it through the carwash of media backstage. So, be on the look out for your favorite player.
Buzzmaster (6:41 PM)
Chris Sheridan will lead off the chat at 7 p.m. ET, just as the draft gets underway. I don't think there will be much drama over that first pick, when the Clippers select Blake Griffin.
Dan (NYC)
I'm super pumped!
Buzzmaster (6:54 PM)
Me too Dan! Me too.
Buzzmaster (6:54 PM)
We're expecting Chris Sheridan here any minute to take your questions.
Tom (Oregon)
Me too, I'm all jacked up on Mt. Dew!
Patrick (Work, AZ)
I'm really interested in seeing what Kerr does for Phoenix! Go Suns!
Andrew (Sydney)
Shaq to Cavs - yeehah!!!!!
Buzzmaster (6:56 PM)
That certainly helps the Cavs, I would say.
Marquis (Washington)

isaac (austin, tx)

Marquis (Washington)

alex (Virginia)
They aren't getting either, both Flynn and Jennings will be gone
collin (tuscaloosa)
Vinsanity goin to the magic...the end is near
Buzzmaster (6:59 PM)
Vince going to the Magic, the Cavs getting Shaq, the Celtics getting Garnett last year. It's a good ol' Cold War with all the best teams in the East stockpiling all their big weapons.
Ben (Tempe, AZ)
RIP Michael Jackson... sad day
Buzzmaster (7:00 PM)
Wow...I just saw that too. That's horrible news.
howie (atl)
i say the magic has cemented themselves as the best of the east with that move.
Cory (PA)
I am ready for some shockers.
Chris Sheridan (7:00 PM)
Good evening from Madison Square Garden, where things will get started in 30 minutes. Crazy couple of days, eh? Shaq traded, now Vince Carter. can't bring myself to believe that McGrady might get dealt, too, but Daryl Moray was pushing that theory pretty hard yesterday. Hoping for an entertaining night. Questions, plz.
BDZ (San Jose)
Do you think Amare Stoudemire will get traded tonight? If so, where to? He would be a perfect fit with the Warriors
Marty McFly (Minneapolis)
*moon walks out of chat*
Cory (PA)
Stephen Curry is looking great in that suit
Chris Sheridan (7:05 PM)
I think it is more likely that the Suns keep Amare and go back to featuring him in their offense. Remember, Amare's eye injury robbed him of a chance to play under Gentry, who got the Suns back to running. I think the only thing that'll force the suns hand is the notion that Amare will walk as a free agent in '10 and they'd get nothing in return, but even if that were true, their hand wouldn't really be forced until next February. On a related note, I thought the suns got fleeced in the Shaq trade. He was pobably the franchise's secon most valuable asset, and they gave him away for nothing so the owner could save $10 million. So I ask you this: Might the Suns' value as a franchise be $10 million lower now than it was at the beginning of the week, given that they just turned him into nothing?
Nick (phx)
what is going to happen with the suns?? No Shaq and maybe no amare and an aging steve nash !!! What is their outlook i your eyes??
Chris Sheridan (7:09 PM)
Bleak is my outlook. And as bleak as it looks now, how do you think it'll look a year from now if they've missed the playoffs and they're watching the Thunder use their lottery pick on draft night. Remember, the Suns threw the Thunder (then Sonics) their unprotected 2008 and 2010 first-round picks in the Jurt Thomas salary dump of a couple years ago. Another example of Sarver mortgaging the future for short-term financial rewards. And as for Nash, Mark Stein is the guy with more insight, being as Stein probably fouled Nash intentionally in the penalty area ysterday at their SoHo soccer match to give Nash that penalty kick in exchange for Nash promising Mark the heads-up when Steve decides to come to NYC in 2010.
Mike K (MI)
So does anybody want take an over/under on how many regular season games Shaq'fu plays in this season??
Chris Sheridan (7:10 PM)
I'll post it: 52.But what will really matter is whether cleveland meets up with Orlando again in the playoffs, cuz Shaq can give Dwight Howard the same types of fits that Kendrick Perkins did in the second round.
Ryan (CA)
I think the magic move depends on what they do with Hedo. If he goes, is the team really better with VC rather than Hedo. Hedo was such a facilitator
Chris Sheridan (7:14 PM)
That is an excellent point, Ryan, and remains an unanswered question. My first reaction was that the Magic must believe that they are going to be unable to keep Hedo. They had been talking about finsing a way to trade Battie and Alston to clear money to pay Hedo, but now that money is going to Vince. My gut tells me that they're convinced someone is prepared to overpay Hedo _ or at least pay him more than they are willing to pay. Keep an eye on the raptors on this one. If they can clear a couple more million off their cap, they can offer Hedo a starting salary up around $12 million. That might be the breaking poin for the Magic, since they'd have to pay a dollar-for-dollar luxury tax on that money, too.
Brian (OH)
Is Portland really serious about trying to acquire Hedo & what would or rather should they give up to make hat trade
Chris Sheridan (7:18 PM)
My Blazers sources tell me the team's bigger priority is upgrading the point guard position, and if they have to use their cap space to make an uneven trade that brings in a top flight playmaker, that's the move they'd prefer to make. Because Darius Miles went back on their cap for $9 million, they don't have the $14-16 million of cap room they thought they'd have. As of now, they couldn't Turk unless it was a sign-and-trade. Blazers fans should keep a close watch on whether Portland dumps all its extra second-round picks tonight, cuz those picks will carry cap holds of nearly a half-million apiece that will shrink the Blazers' cap space.
Rob (Asheville, NC)
I think the shaq trade will have a bigger impact hands down. Shaq has always been a position dominating player can we say that about Vince?
Chris Sheridan (7:21 PM)
The Shaq trade certainly fills a need for the Cavs more than the Vince trade does for the Magic, but if Orlan do can keep Hedo and go with a starting five of Nelson, VC, Hedo, Lewis and Dwight, with Pietrus the sixth man and Redick the spare shooter, that ain't a bad team.
DK (London)
what do you think about the Knicks chances of making a splash, minor or major tonight?
Chris Sheridan (7:25 PM)
They're throwing money around ($3 million cash to the Lakers for the 28th pick), which not a whole lot of teams are doing these days. I think they'd like to move up and get Rubio, but I am not getting any kind of readings indicating that is a possibility. The Darko-Quentin Richardson trade talk was still active this morning, from what I was told, but there would have to be some major pieces added and some major money (another 43 mill) thrown Memphis' way for something major to go down.
Lawrence (NC)
If the Raptors get Hedo and draft a solid 2 guard, do you think that would be enough to convince Bosh to resign?
Chris Sheridan (7:28 PM)
The Raps have to go all out for one year to convince the guy to stay, and they're a long way from breaking into the top echelon in the East. I still say they get the most value (and CB gets the most money) by doing a sign-and-trade with him next July if he wants out.
Philip (Hawaii)
Do you think Cleveland is done dealing now or is there more to follow after the Shaq trade?
Chris Sheridan (7:30 PM)
Absolutely. They still need another big (two if varajao leaves as a f.a.), preferably one who ca play inside and outside. Rasheed Wallace would seem a perfect fit, talent-wise. Would he sign for the mid-level? That might be the biggest factor.
Chris Sheridan (7:32 PM)
That's a wrap for me, folks. Buzzmaster, the room is yours again.
Buzzmaster (7:32 PM)
Thanks Chris! I love the just-before-the-draft info.
Buzzmaster (7:32 PM)
Looks like teams are active tonight. That should be cool.
Marc (Charlotte)
Is the real Buzz back or is it still Fake Buzz?
Buzzmaster (7:34 PM)
I've been here all day. I don't know what you're talking about.
Randy (Okemos)
Buzzmaster Chris didn't take my question :(
Buzzmaster (7:34 PM)
Was it a bad question?
Christian (High Point, NC) [via mobile]
How's the scene there, Buzz?
Buzzmaster (7:34 PM)
Pretty crazy. If you're watching on TV, you can hear how rowdy the fans are. It's fun.
Marlow (Land Down Under)
how long until this party starts?
Buzzmaster (7:35 PM)
Now! Clippers on the clock.
Will J (Portland, OR)
Buzz, are you excited!!! Here we go!!!
Blake Griffin (NY)

BruinLA (LA)

Drew (WA)
Nah, Blake, relax. Gonna milk it for a little bit!
Garvey (Philadelphia,PA)
Any chance B. Jennings falls to Sixers?
Matt Z (England)
Thanks to ESPN for transatlantic coverage!
Buzzmaster (7:37 PM)
We aim to please.
Raul (San Diego)
No chance that Jennings falls to the Sixers
Frank (Los Angeles)
Are you serious? Pick him already.
Derek (KS)
Take Rubio LA . . . make this exciting!
Buzzmaster (7:39 PM)
Clippers pick in!
Buzzmaster (7:39 PM)

Jason (Mammoth CA)
Yes its JVG!!!! Thank you ESPN
David Stern (NY)
The clippers select Mullens
Nick (NY)
Okay now the draft really begins
Buzzmaster (7:40 PM)
Thabeet next?
GSW Amare (Oakland, CA)
Thabeet now, then rubrio, then roll the dice.
Jordan (STL)
Harden here...
Spill (West Chester)
THABEET!!!
leifer (boca raton)

Buzzmaster (7:40 PM)
All of these are interesting questions.
Andrew (port saint lucie)
o ya! its on now
joe (svale)

Buzzmaster (7:41 PM)
Dude, why the hostility?
Ryan (CA)
This will take a while... I am sure Memphis is still fielding offers...
Bobby (NY)
curry to the knicks!!!!
Dan (Connecticut)
So, is Memphis takes Rubio, does Rubio just stay in Europe for 2 more years until Memphis goes belly up?
Angel (Orlando)
That depends if Memphis wants to spend the money on a buyout
Bob (SF)
if memphis takes rubio, okc can take thabeet. everybody's happy
DanMan187 (Sacramento)
Don't be mean to the Buzzmaster!
Daniel K (Toronto)
We stay fly no lie, we .....? cmon buzzmaster how hip are you. finish the line.
Buzzmaster (7:44 PM)
eat dinner?
steven (Indiana)
is it possible that the cavaliers or lakers could get ricky rubio through a trade of some sort
Kevin (NC)
When does Memphis send Marc Gasol to L.A. for free?
matt (cali)
Raptors should trade bosh and rebuild - overrated
Chris (Jersey)
Rubio or Thabeet here?
Buzzmaster (7:46 PM)
The pick is in....
Buzzmaster (7:46 PM)
Grizzlies select Thabeet at No. 2.
Marcus (Auburn CA)
THABEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!
Brianna (Louisville)
I knew it would be Thabeet.
Alex (OH)
Lets go Thabeet!
Vik (Dirtty Jersey)
Rubio next?
Mike (Manteca)
What are the Thunder going to do? Rubio, Harden or maybe another combo like Evans or Curry?
Buzzmaster (7:47 PM)
They need everything...a big to protect Durant or a point guard to get him the ball.
Buzzmaster (7:48 PM)
And everything inbetween.
Kevin Durant (OKC)
they need everything except another durant, and even that couldn't hurt
E$$$ (O-Town Go Magic)
OK City outside of Durant and Westbrook dont have a whole lot
Thomas (Houston)
Curry!!!
casey (los angeles)
good pick. harden should be next
CoryFONG (Sacramento)
Evans/Westbrook could be a defensively dominant backcourt
Brion (Woodbridge, VA)
Oklahoma needs a home run...Why not Curry. He will fill the seats
Mark (ATX)
I'd take Tyreke here.
Bryon (Toronto)
Ya - OK just needs some life
Buzzmaster (7:51 PM)
People are starting to set up in the press conference area, which is just across the way from where we're set up. I can only guess that means Blake is on his way.
justice (houston,tx)
yall sleeping on eric maynor........wake up now folkz
Jesse (Enfield, CT)
I dont think you can draft life
Buzzmaster (7:52 PM)
THe pick is in!
Buzzmaster (7:52 PM)
OKC selects....James Harden!
Buzzmaster (7:52 PM)
Wow, that's interesting.
Arel (OK)
buzzmaster, are you at the draft?
Buzzmaster (7:52 PM)
Yessir.
stanton (chinle, az)
HARDEN!!!.....................
Andy (In)
Told you, spread the floor with another shooter.
Gary (Ohio)
whoa
Buzzmaster (7:53 PM)
He really impressed in his draft workouts.
Kyle (Chicago)
Called it!!!! James is my boy
Matt (Seattle)
Bring back the days of Lewis and Allen - deep shots and offensive power.
Miner (SLC)
Good move. Allow Westbrook to play point.
D. Osharag (Burbank)
Worst draft EVER!!! bust after bust after bust. Teams just throwing away millions. What has Harden done in his career!?!?
Buzzmaster (7:54 PM)
Nothing. He hasn't even played his rookie season in the NBA. None of these guys have done anything in their career.
Colin (Chicago)
Average 19 a game, play good team ball and solid defense on a crappy ASU team.
dan (Denver, CO)
Harden took an undermanned ASU team to the tourney, and was the pac-10 player of the year. That is a little more than nothing
Ryan (Columbus, OH)
lol very cute buzzmaster
erdokken (Oakland, CA)
Touche' Buzz
Anthony (NC)
psycho t
Adrian (Bristol)
James Harden is the sleeper
Brian (Sacramento)
Sacramento should select Rubio!
Yannis (Brooklyn, NY)
good to see OKC is committed to keeping Westbrook at point
Buzzmaster (7:57 PM)
Blake's made his way over to the press conference. It's like the paparazzi in there with all the flashing cameras.
Buzzmaster (7:57 PM)
No. 4 is....
Buzzmaster (7:57 PM)
Tyreke Evans goes to Sacramento!
Luke (Gwinn, MI)
They should take Evans
Jason (OKC)
Harden is a great fit for OKC. Now we need to go get Camby.
dolla (oakland,ca)
finally sac is gonna have offense farther than martin
ben (enola pa)
now just take rubio and curry a sick back court for years
Frank (N Lauderdale, FL)
I don't know much about Rubio other than all the no look pass highlights. How does his game translate against NBA caliber PGs?
Rick (Philadelphia)
Rubio to Minnesota. No doubt in my mind.
Buzzmaster (7:59 PM)
If I'm Minnesota, I use these two picks and not try to trade them..unless you can get a first round pick for next year. You can get two guys to build around right here.
bklyn (ny)
rubio 2 minnie
Blazers (San Diego)
Curry is a natural 2 guard so Minnesota should take Rubio and Curry
chris (portland)
well, he did play as the starting pg for spain's olympic team in '08...
Greg (MA)
Agreed Buzz - best scenario short of Thabeet falling for Minn
stevie2times (chitown)
ty lawson is the best in the draft.. as guards go!!!!
Buzzmaster (8:01 PM)
I still can't believe that the Wolves really didn't give up that much to get the No. 5 overall pick. The Wizards must have not liked that many guys in the draft this year.
Brian (Boulder)
Minnesota looking pretty smart right about now. 2nd biggest talent in the draft -- he and Love make an amazingly basketball-smart core -- add Big Al and whoever they take at 6, and you've got a great young base.
Gastaldo (SPAIN)
That was a complete failure by SAC. I am confident that Rubio will give his best in the NBA. He is a terribly skilled player, just needs to improve a little his jumpers and 3pt shooting. Right now, he can be compared to Rajon Rondo
Brian (Seattle)
Rubio is overrated. Flynn will be the best pro.
rc (cali)
can i get some in here or what buzz?
Buzzmaster (8:03 PM)
Some what? I don't have any food left.
Karl (Maine)
He's like a Mark Price that can't shoot
Yush (Acton)
Bulls and Blair?
Buzzmaster (8:03 PM)
No. 5 pick is in......
Buzzmaster (8:04 PM)
Ricky Rubio!
Buzzmaster (8:04 PM)
Kid's got good hair.
Ryan (Michigan)
they are smart
clark (englandlondon)
yessss
jacob (iowa)
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colin (CLE)
A+
Rob (Minny)
Excellent!
Dino (CA)
Buzz Can you believe that They were going to trade to the 2 spot to possibly get Rubio...then he falls to them at 5? now they keep all their picks and get 1 of the guys they wanted.
Dan (Pittsburgh)
They need a PG and they need excitement. They just got both.
Nathan (Minneapolis)
Oh happy day! Now the games will at least be fun to watch!
Jason (OKC)
And yet they still don't have a guy who can shoot the ball past 18 feet. Better take Curry next.
Nick (Portland, OR)
As a Blazer fan I hate to see that ... cause Minny just got better.
Adam (Seattle)
Steph Curry at 6! Here it comes
Buzzmaster (8:06 PM)
The only downside is that makes them small in the backcourt - 6-4 and 6-3.
Carl (Ferrer)
Finally somebody picked Rubio!
John (Lalaland)
yea.. agree with buzz.. they should go with someone else
javi (spain)
great!! Rubio to my favourite nba team
Dan (Seattle)
mark my words, steph curry is going to be the best nba player out of this draft
Jason (Atlanta,Georgia)
But being small doesn't stop Chris Paul
Buzzmaster (8:07 PM)
He plays the point. That's fine.
chuck (nc)
small in basketball is only what you make of it
Rob (CA)
Buzz - They are short in the front court too
Ben (San Jose)
6-4 and 6-3 would still be +2 inches on the backcourt from last year
james (Chi)
none of these guys is chris paul!!!!
Thabeet (Seattle)
everyone is too short but me.
Nate (Arizona)
5 inches less than the league average though
Julius (Chicago)
Height doesn't matter. Reach matters. What type of reach do they have? Durant has CRAZY long arms, and that's why he is so good.
Buzzmaster (8:09 PM)
But being 6-10 helps.
Steve (Philly)
If Curry has his Dad's nba career I pass here......but if he has his dad's NBA nintento career I am on board.....amazing
Buzzmaster (8:09 PM)
Next pick is in.....
Buzzmaster (8:10 PM)
The Wolves select Jonny Flynn!
Buzzmaster (8:10 PM)
Very interesting pick there.
Buzzmaster (8:10 PM)
Maybe for someone else?
Mike (SD,CA)
Rubio is a farce, they should have picked up Flynn
zahc (green bay)
thats bad they don't need both
Darst (FL)
taht is 2 pgs that is stupid
Matt (NC)
Whoa! Did anyone see that coming? I'm thinking trade bait.
Matty G (ATL)
Gotta be for a trade...
Buzzmaster (8:11 PM)
It has to be, right?
Jesse (Ann Arbor)
I smell a trade cooking
Andy (CoMo)
Hes legit but this isnt a good fit for this team
pat (MN)
has to be for somebody else
james (Chi)
Or that was great insurance for rubio's contract issues..
Buzzmaster (8:12 PM)
You don't use the No. 6 pick in the NBA draft as a backup plan.
Mag (UK)
Perhaps trade with Memphis, get Gasol to play C and help Rubio settle in
John (San Diego)
Insurance at #6 though?
EA (New York)
All systems go for a NY and Curry marriage
vinny (alaska)
uhhhh no
Tom (SF)
Think Don Nelson can resist the allure of Stephen Curry?
Buzzmaster (8:14 PM)
Just a reminder folks...we'll be having as many of the players we can get in here for the chat...I'll let you know when they're in the area.
Basterisk (CA)
tossup between hill and curry
Garett (Chicago)
lets see the bulls trade up here, i know curry wasnt on their radar, but get derrick a shooter, and some else to help handle the ball, let hinrich go
Buzzmaster (8:15 PM)
Ric Bucher says that the Wolves are saying they're keeping both the players. And they think that both those guys can play together.
red (charlotte)
rubio wont sign with minn
Buzzmaster (8:15 PM)
7th pick is in....
Buzzmaster (8:16 PM)
The Warriors select Stephen Curry!
Buzzmaster (8:16 PM)
The Warriors for the block on the Knicks.
Pete (IL)
Ha!!!!
David (Phoenix)
Hahaha they just stole Curry from NY
squibby (OR)
That is either very smart or very stupid.
James (CA)
Why pick Rubio if you think you won't be able to sign him?
JColt (San Frisko, ca)
Yessss finnally somethingI can root for again
Ni (CA)
Yep!!!!! Nice Nellie!!!
Buzzmaster (8:18 PM)
Looks like Hasheem and Tyreke are the closest right now.
Brink (MPLS)
You think the T-wolves will move Rubio or Flynn? This doesn't seem to make sense, unless Rubio will come over in a couple years
Trevor (San Francisco)
I guess Monta Ellis won't be our PG after all
Rob (CT)
With the 8th pick, the New York Knicks select... Frederick Weis! j/k
Dan (Berkeley, CA)
Monta Ellis wasn't the long term answer anyways.
Alex Moore (SEA)
Curry played Shooting gaurd when he helped his stock the most
ricco (kentucky)
Ty lawson-charlotte
Riles (MIAMI)
with the 18th pick the Wolves select AJ price
Buzzmaster (8:21 PM)
Ha. Stockpile the PGs like the Detroit Lions stockpile WRs?
Buzzmaster (8:21 PM)
And the Knicks select....
Buzzmaster (8:21 PM)
Jordan Hill!
Will J (Portland, OR)
That's funny buzz.
Nader (Toronto)
The only thing the lions stock pile are losses
Duane (MI)
Go Lions!
Michael (New York)
With the 30th pick, the Cavs select Amare Stoudemire!!!
james (coonrapids, mn)
wolves should take sam young @ 18
jk (cali)
thats what the wolves will do stock pile of loses
Michael (Phoenix, aZ)
Was hoping Hill would keep on slipping because of his turnovers and bad passing so Suns could have a little bit of good news today.
Marty McFly (Minneapolis)
Why MN whyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Dre (Dc)
This draft is deeper than people think.
Adam (Austin)
How do I get in on this chat?
Buzzmaster (8:25 PM)
BAM! Just did.
Dave (DC)
Draft is over - only player left with a shot to do anything is Maynor.
JG (AZ)
Three years. Never once been on. I guess why break tradition right?
Buzzmaster (8:25 PM)
Three years of what?
All_Star_Laker (San Diego)
This chat is rigged by some dude named Buzzmaster
Endo (Wisconsin)
Any trade rumors swirling?
Buzzmaster (8:26 PM)
Nothing new that hasn't already been talked about a little bit.
Jason (Lancaster, CA)
yea, who is this buzzmaster clown?
Buzzmaster (8:26 PM)
I'm no clown. You're the clown. Dance for me clown!
Jake (Michigan)
I thought I had some pretty clever comments and I haven't made it onto chat....
Mason (SD)

Matt (Philadelphia)

I like Sea Monkeys.
AT (OH)
This chat needs more haikus.
dave (ohio)
did someone say sea monkeys?
W (London)
Milwaukee is a mess - only Tyler wouldn't mind going there. Anybody with any sense would want a real team.
Adam (IN)
this chat is weak
Buzzmaster (8:30 PM)
We need more dancing monkeys and clowns.
Justin (SF,CA)
Who is the next Kobe/Lebron/Wade, who cares about sea monkeys
Lawrence (Raleigh, NC)

newt (vegas)
I really think Tryreke Evans is gonna be special
Buzzmaster (8:32 PM)
You'll have a chance to ask him your questions. I think he's getting closer to our area.
Ryan (Texas)
I've got high hopes for Flynn
Buzzmaster (8:33 PM)
The Bucks select...Brandon Jennings!
Buzzmaster (8:33 PM)
The lefty isn't here in NYC.
Can (Vancouver, BC)
Nice pick!
Rob (Sac, Ca)
Hey Buzz, saw you on TV just now. You have a face for chat.
Buzzmaster (8:34 PM)
Like what Colin Cowherd said to Kenny Mayne on Mayne Street - a face for radio and a voice for the Internet.
Strack (Utah)
yep. Jennings is a great player. has a lot of potential
Donald (Ocala, FL)
Nets should get Tyler here
T-Bone (Las Vegas)
cold bloooooded,,,nice
john (nyc)
nice pick indeed!
DB (Indonesia)
In a shallow draft, pick high upside, nice pick Bucks
LeShaq (Cleveland)
Jordan will take Tyler for the Bobcats
Buzzmaster (8:36 PM)
There's a heckuva lot more action in the NBA draft than the NFL draft. We're already 10 picks in just over an hour into the draft. The NFL would still be on pick 4.
Buzzmaster (8:36 PM)
James Harden is here!
Tre (DC)
Is it just a relief to get this draft process over?
James Harden (8:37 PM)
Yeah, it was a long process. This day has come true and it's finally here. I'm happy to be with the Thunder and I'm going to work hard.
tonnanbomb (eau claire)
Did you picture yourself going at #3
James Harden (8:37 PM)
I knew it was between me and Rubio. OKC, I guess they felt tha tI was a better fit for their program. I'm just happy to be here.
DJ (KC)
do you feel you and Durant can get OKC to the playoffs?
James Harden (8:38 PM)
Yeah. They have a great group of guys. Kevin Durant is the focal point. Jeff Green, Westbrook. I just want to come in and help them out as much as possible.
Yitao (San Francisco)
Have you talked to Durant?
James Harden (8:39 PM)
Yeah, he texted me before the draft and said good luck. His luck paid off well.
Todd (New Jersey)
What was the first thing that went through your mind when you were drafted?
James Harden (8:39 PM)
Relief. Relief and just excitement to maky my dream come true. THe journey just begins.
Erik (Chi-town)
So we all want to know, your season prediction?
James Harden (8:40 PM)
I don't have any predictions. I'm just going to go in and work hard and help the guys that are there win ball games.
DJ (KC)
with westbrook on the team, do you see yourself playing the point or the 2 guard?
James Harden (8:41 PM)
2 guard. I thikn he can handle the ball very well. HE's a great player. WE might switch positions throughout the game, but for the most part, I want to be on the wing.
Bubba (Fort Collins)
when you get your contract at #3 what's the first thing you buy?
James Harden (8:41 PM)
to be honest, I'm not sure. Maybe a car for my mom. something like that. I don't need to buy anything right now.
James Harden (8:41 PM)
Thanks a lot. Thaks for the support. I'm looking to go in and help htat program out!
Buzzmaster (8:42 PM)
Next up is Blake Griffin!
tomas (london)
Who was your favorite team growing up?
Blake Griffin (8:42 PM)
I was a Bulls fan growing pu because of Michael Jordan.
Matt (Oregon)
Are you expecting to be a focal point for the Clips this year?
Blake Griffin (8:43 PM)
I definitely want to come in and help out, but they have a lot of good players and I'm excited about the opportunity.
Sam (Phoenix)
Blake, congratulation! Are you nervous for your brother?
Blake Griffin (8:43 PM)
I'm excited for him. Either way it goes, he's going to make hte best out of whatever situation he goes in. I hope for the best.
wes (FLA)
when will you go out and meet the team?
Blake Griffin (8:43 PM)
I will go out to LA tomorrow. My press conference will be Monday. I'll be able to meet hte team then.
Nik (ny)
is it going to be difficult playing so far away from home for the first time?
Blake Griffin (8:44 PM)
It's going to be different, but I think I'll be able to adjust.
James (New Zealand)
how much pressure do you feel to succeed in LA this year
Blake Griffin (8:44 PM)
No pressure at all. I just have to come in and do what I've always done and play basketball.
Blake Griffin (8:44 PM)
Thanks for all hte questions. Look forward to hearing from you.
Buzzmaster (8:45 PM)
Thanks Blake!
Buzzmaster (8:45 PM)
Thanks James!
Buzzmaster (8:45 PM)
They were back to back. They've been following each other through the media circus all night.
Buzzmaster (8:45 PM)
We've got Stephen!
jeff detroit
what are you looking forward to the most about the NBA?
Stephen Curry (8:46 PM)
I'm looking forward to playing in front of huge crowds against guys I've looked up to my whole life. Playing basketball for a living. I'll enjoy that on a day to day basis.
Jon (Toronto)
Were you expecting to go to New York once Minnesota didn't call your name?
Stephen Curry (8:47 PM)
Actually, the opposite. I was expecting Golden State to pick me. IT's a good fit. A tam that goes up and down and two good guards in place. I can add a spark to the offensive game and make some noise next year.
Trent (Newport Beach)
Are you familiar with any of the guys on Golden State?
Stephen Curry (8:48 PM)
Beyond Ellis and Jackson, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the team. One of my high school rivals played there last year. Other than that it will be meeting new guys and developing new chemistry.
Matt R (NJ)
What aspect of your game do you think carries over to the NBA the most?
Stephen Curry (8:48 PM)
Being able to shoot the ball. It's a lost art in the NBA for a guy to be consistent of the dribble off the catch. Being a threat to shoot that's my game.
Sean (Illinois)
How much more pressure do you think will be on you going from a Mid-Major Conference to the NBA
Stephen Curry (8:49 PM)
I don't think it matters where you come from. Once you're drafted, history is erased. I'm on the same level as the ACC guys. WE have to make our opportunities.
Carl (MN)
Are you looking forward to playing for a legend like Don nelson?
Stephen Curry (8:50 PM)
Definitely. A guy that's established himself as a great coach and knows how to win. Our team has a great chance to be successful as any team in the West.
Stephen Curry (8:51 PM)
Look out for me in the West Coast. Stay up late and watch some games. All the Curry fans in college be Curry fans in the NBA.
Buzzmaster (8:51 PM)
Thanks Stephen!
Buzzmaster (8:51 PM)
Cool guy.
Buzzmaster (8:51 PM)
Man, that Blake Griffin had a real strong handshake. My hand still hurts.
John (Pittsburgh)
Hansbrough the next BIRD!!!!
Alex (VA)
Buzz, do you think it's a problem NBA teams draft for immediate need rather than future need, unlike the NFL?
Buzzmaster (8:53 PM)
No. The NBA and NFL are different beasts.
Sunny (Chicago)
John from Pitt beat me to it!
Errol (Covina, CA)
Hey Buzz who do you think the sleepers are in this draft?
Buzzmaster (8:54 PM)
Maybe a Sam Young...or Ty Lawson.
mike (la)
Phx -- Sam Young -- now that Amare is center again
Jordan (Wales)
what would you do, draft on talent and try to fit them into the system or turn them into a veteran who fits through trade, or draft on need?
Buzzmaster (8:55 PM)
How about draft someone who fits my team and is talented?
Buzzmaster (8:56 PM)
Phoenix selects.....
Buzzmaster (8:56 PM)
Earl Clark! He's not in New York City.
Buzzmaster (8:56 PM)
Brandon Jennings is in the house!
Gary Busey (Lexington, KY)
Good fit.
Don P (New York)
The heck? "Brandon Jennings IS here"? The heck is that?
Buzzmaster (8:57 PM)
Hasheem is here!
Tim (Barrington)
Hasheem, what are you excited for the most about being a Memphis Grizzlie?
Hasheem Thabeet (8:59 PM)
Being around a young team. I'm looking forward to growing with the team. They have great talent there. OJ, Rudy, I've been friendly with them. OJ told me that he wished I came to Memphis. This is just another opporutnity for me to go out there and playball.
Matt (Massachusetts)
Hasheem, how will you work on your offensive game this summer?
Hasheem Thabeet (9:00 PM)
I usually work on my offense every summer. That's all I do every summer. I try to shoot the ball as much as I can. Do as much repetition as I can. The guys in the league are faster, stronger. I'll have to play as hard as I can to be a force in the league.
tim (mi)
what do you like to eat for breakfast?
Hasheem Thabeet (9:01 PM)
I usually eat whatever my mom cooks. She cooks a lot of fresh fruits and fresh foods. I really like that. I like to stay healthy most of the time.
nate (boston)
what do you think you bring to bring to memphis that will make them a playoff calibur team?
Hasheem Thabeet (9:02 PM)
Everyone was saying they don't have a good defensive team or a good rebounding team. I will go and work as hard as I can to change the team. It's a young team. I'll go out there and work as hard as I can.
Matt ((Eagan, MN))
Hey Hasheem, is there any player in the NBA right now that you think compares to the way you play the game?
Hasheem Thabeet (9:03 PM)
Not really. I try to go out there and be unique. I want to play different so someone says this kid plays like Thabeet. Some people say I play like Dikembe, yeah I block shots, but I don't think we have the same kind of game.
Matt (EB)
How does it feel to finally be living the dream?
Hasheem Thabeet (9:03 PM)
For me it's a blessing. I grew up playing soccer. I had to make so many transition to just kicking the ball and using my hands. I had to work so hard to get to the point I am now. This is not the end for me. In the NBA there are guys that are better than me and stronger than me.
Hasheem Thabeet (9:04 PM)
I'm just looking forward to a great season next year. We'll be growing up as a team next year. I'm working hard myself to get better offensively. I'm out to get way better to help the team.
Buzzmaster (9:04 PM)
Thanks Hasheem!
Brian (L'burg, KY)
You play exactly like Dikembe, but that's a great compliment. Strive to score more and be better! Congrats Hasheem!
Buzzmaster (9:05 PM)
Jonny Flynn's here!
Matt ((Eagan, MN))
Hey Johnny, is there any specific player that you are looking forward to play against in the NBA?
Jonny Flynn. (9:06 PM)
Definitely my guys that I got close to in college. Donte Green. The guys from this draft. Curry. I want to have the upper hand on them. I want the bragging rights.
Matt (prov, ri)
Johnny what do you think about minnesota drafting 2 pgs have u heard anything?
Jonny Flynn (9:06 PM)
I think this is something you'll see a lot of the NBA teams going to. It's a deadly combination to have those two guys out there to create plays. We can boost each other's level playing.
max (MPLS)
johnny... me and everyone else in minnesota gotta ask: do you plan to keep wearing the white sleeves in the nba?!
Jonny Flynn (9:07 PM)
Oh no no. I'm not doing that. That's a college thing. I'm not keeping that. I have to get a new look.
Dimitri (Kansas City, KS)
Who do you see yourself similar to in the nba?
Jonny Flynn (9:08 PM)
I say a guy like Chris Paul. 6 foot and under. Tenacious. Uses the pick and roll very well. Creates for his teammates. I see myself as a guy that can really elevate those around him.
TRAVIS (virginia)
Were u suprise to go to Monnestoa?
Jonny Flynn (9:08 PM)
Minnesota is a team that I said was high on the draft list. Going into this process it's almost like college recruiting. The only thing you know is when they call your name.
jesse (Ore)
i loved your game in college but the NBA is a different world man, how do you think you are going to fair
Jonny Flynn (9:09 PM)
I think my game is going to be better than my college game. In college you can have guys sitting in the paint and zones. In the NBA it's so spread out and that works for me getting into the paint.
Billy (VA)
Johnny thrilled to have you on my Twolves! what do you add to the team that it did not have before?
Jonny Flynn (9:10 PM)
I think you add a guy out there that will be a leader. A guy that will back it up with his play. I think I can show that. Be the pure pg out there and give the two beasts down low a lot of shots.
Jonny Flynn (9:11 PM)
Can't wait to get to Minnesota. Wathc out for us this year. The front office is making a lot of moves to make us a winning team. I'm looking forward to getting out there and helping the team.
Buzzmaster (9:11 PM)
Jonny Flynn is an outgoing dude. He's going to have fun in Minnesota.
Buzzmaster (9:11 PM)
Tyreke Evans is up!
Kevan (Atlanta)
Tyreke, do you really want to play the point in the NBA?
Tyreke Evans (9:12 PM)
If I have to. I will. It's not a problem. I loved playing the point in Memphis. I played the point in high school. If the coach wants me to, I'll do a good job at it.
Mitch (Chicago)
can you have the same success Derek Rose had in his first season?
Tyreke Evans (9:13 PM)
Derrick Rose is a good player. I'm looking forward to coming in and doing the same thing. Making my team better and winning as many games as we can.
Jared (Sacramento)
tyreke, how do you feel about sacramento? i live in sac and its cool to see you come here, what do you think?
Tyreke Evans (9:13 PM)
I feel pretty good. That's where I wanted to go. That's the place that I wanted to go. There's a good system for the Kings. We're going to be pretty good.
Matt (Jersey)
What nba player do you compare yourself most to?
Tyreke Evans (9:14 PM)
LeBron James type. Tracey McGrady. I compare to those guys a lot.
Doctor J (Milwaukee)
How will you change the team?
Tyreke Evans (9:14 PM)
I think my scoring ability and my size and strength and passing ability. I think that's the key to coming in and changing the game around.
Dan (Utah)
Tyreke, do you know you're immediate future plans. When do you travel to Sacramento and start working?
Tyreke Evans (9:15 PM)
I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 8. I don't know what's next after that. But I'll be out there to get ready for work.
Andrew [via mobile]
Tyreke how was your draft experience? Were you nervous?
Tyreke Evans (9:16 PM)
I wasn't nervous. I was just excited and wanted to know what team I would play for. I had a lot of fun with the guys that were there. I'm looking forward to playing in the NBA.
Tyreke Evans (9:16 PM)
Keep cheering for me.
Buzzmaster (9:18 PM)
Thanks Tyreke!

DeMar DeRozan (9:23 PM)
Yes. You hit it on the nose. We will see it in my rookie year.
Kenny Hasbrouck (Albany, NY)
DeMar, tight suit, who made it?
DeMar DeRozan (9:23 PM)
Elevee.
DonBail (Arnold, MD)
Which B-Ball player would you like to meet?
DeMar DeRozan (9:24 PM)
I would love to meet Magic Johnson.
Denis (vancouver,bc)
Looking forward to the comparisons to Vince Carters Air canada days?
DeMar DeRozan (9:24 PM)
Yes. Looking forward to it. Looking forward to bringing excitement back to Canada.
Jerome (Toronto)
Can't wait for you to get here man. Tell us what did you first think when you heard the commish call your name?
DeMar DeRozan (9:25 PM)
It really was wake up call that I really made it to the league. That it was true.
Dylan (Kentuchy)
DeMar, What Do You Think About The One And Done Rule?
DeMar DeRozan (9:25 PM)
I think it's great to go to college, but I think they shouldn't restrict the player from choosing the NBA or college.
DeMar DeRozan (9:25 PM)
Thank you for all the support. THere's more excitement to come in my rookie year.
Buzzmaster (9:26 PM)
Ricky Rubio is next!
Ben (Hawaii)
What team do you look forward playing against the most?
Ricky Rubio (9:26 PM)
I don't know. Maybe against Portland. That's where my friend Rudy went to.
Albert (Detroit)
Ricky, what will be the toughest adjustment for you to make in the NBA?
Ricky Rubio (9:27 PM)
To come here and be here without my friends and my town. That's hard for me. But my family might come with me. That will make it easier.
Mike (Philly)
What makes playing in the US different from playing in Spain?
Ricky Rubio (9:28 PM)
They play harder here. But it's basketball. so that's what I play that's what I love. But it's harder here.
Rod (Los Angeles)
Ricky, que te parece que Minessota eligio a tres bases en el draft?
Ricky Rubio (9:28 PM)
They picked anothe rpoint guard at No. 6. We'll see what they want. I didn't talk to them before. So, we'll see.
Daylon (Wyoming)
Which current NBA player do you see yourself as?
Ricky Rubio (9:29 PM)
I look like Steve Nash. I love his style. It's run and pass.
Chris (Australia)
What do you think of the other players on the Timberwolves roster?
Ricky Rubio (9:30 PM)
Al JEfferson can take the ball and dunk every time. I can get a lot of assists with him. And Kevin Love. It will be easier for me to play with them and get assists.
Carson (Oakland)
nothing related to NBA. but since you were born in barcelona, so are you a huge fan of barcelona FC?
Ricky Rubio (9:30 PM)
No. That's hard for me this year because they won all three titles. But I'm an Espanol fan.
Ricky Rubio (9:31 PM)
Enjoy next year. I want to see what we can do here.
Buzzmaster (9:31 PM)
Thanks Ricky!
Buzzmaster (9:31 PM)

ian (Dallas)
Hey Jordan were you named after MJ?
Jordan Hill (9:33 PM)
I don't think so. Me and my brother and my sister, we all have the same initials. I was the youngest so they had to find a name with a J in it.
Kevin (San Diego)
How long until you think your former teamate Chase gets picked?
Jordan Hill (9:33 PM)
Hopefully it will be in the first round. He's a good player and I feel he earned it to be in the first round. He's one of the best overall players in the draft. I hope he makes it.
Cody (Michigan)
Jordan, did you expect to be drafted by the Knicks? Also I've been hyping you up since your Arizona days as the best PF/C in the draft. You better come thru! lol
Jordan Hill (9:34 PM)
I was told that the Knicks were looking at me and Curry. When he was chosen by Golden State I knew there was a chance I could be picked by the Knicks.
Steve (Fl)
Jordan, How does it feel to play in NY?
Jordan Hill (9:35 PM)

matt (wisconsin)

Brandon Jennings (9:44 PM)
Allen Iverson.
Max (New York)
Are you upset that so many teams passed on you?
Brandon Jennings (9:44 PM)
No, actually, I find it motivation. With my work ethic. I always play with a chip on my shoulder. So, I'm ready to prove to everyone.
Alex (Bham)
How well can you speak Italian now?
Brandon Jennings (9:44 PM)
I'm OK. But my brother speaks it better than I do.
walt (atlanta)
did your experience in Europe better prepare you for the NBA than a year in college would have?
Brandon Jennings (9:45 PM)
Yes. Because I got a year under my belt of playing against grown men. I'm not a rookie, just in the NBA. It's my second year as a pro.
Cody (Amelia, VA)
How was playing it Italy?
Brandon Jennings (9:45 PM)
It was awesome. It was a great experience overall. I learned a lot about life and I matured a lot as an adult.
Brandon Jennings (9:46 PM)
We'll see. It depends on how hard I work and if I go in there and show them that I should.
Amy (Nebraska)
Hindsight is 20/20 but if you could go back, would you still go to Italy?
Brandon Jennings (9:46 PM)
Yup. The experience was just great.

Well, there's one.
Rylan (Houston)
Hey Buzz, who has been the most interesting person you have met in this years draft?
Buzzmaster (9:52 PM)
Jonny Flynn was pretty cool...Hasheem Thabeet was very funny. He made the rounds in the room before coming over to sit down. Then he proceeded to take off his huge shoes and do the chat in his socks.

Gerald Henderson is here!
Jordan (Sacramento)
Gerald how do you feel about playing for MJ's team?
Gerald Henderson (9:58 PM)
It's going to be great. He's a guy that I've looke dup to my whole life. He's been playing since before I was born. Having him around, the best player of all time will be a great thing for me.
Chad (Fremont, Ohio)
Gerald, will you take the same class that you played with in college and tranfer it to the NBA?
Gerald Henderson (9:59 PM)
There's a lot of things that I can get better at, but I'm definitely going to bring my style. There's no reason to change that.
Mark (Ohio)
Im a huge duke fan gerald, How did you improbe your shooting touch so dramatically from your sophomore year to
Gerald Henderson (10:00 PM)
A lot of people joked with me that after I got my wrist surgery my sophomore year that it made my shot better. Just repition, staying in the gym and making my shot a weapon. Making it one of my strengths.
Gerald Henderson (10:01 PM)
Not surprised. you never know with this draft. A lot of different scenarios can play out. I'm happy. I'm excited about where I ended up. It should be fun.
ron (cleveland)
gerald how was it to play under coach k.
Gerald Henderson (10:01 PM)
It was great. It's everything you can wish for as a college basketball player. He's one of the best. He's been a great coach, but also just a great friend to me. My time at Duke was great.
Danny (Cincy)
Gerald nice to see you staying in NC..what is the most valuable lesson your dad has told you about the pros
Gerald Henderson (10:02 PM)
It will speed up a little bit. The game has better athletes. The guys are just beter. I'll be prepared for that. I hope to play in transition a little more. More than I did in college.
Stephen (Fl)
Gerald, were u nervous at all during the whole draft experience?
Gerald Henderson (10:03 PM)
When it started to get around my range, I thought there was a chance I could go to New York. Around that time, I started to get some sweaty hands and bouncing my leg around.
Gerald Henderson (10:03 PM)
Thanks everyone for supporting me. I'm very happy to be a Charlotte Bobcat. Hopefully I can bring the success I had at Duke to the team.
Buzzmaster (10:03 PM)
Thanks Gerald!
noratel (baltimore)

Buzzmaster (10:09 PM)
Ya missed him. He was already here.
Daniel (Tennessee)
someone is gonna get a great late round pick with jodie meeks
Buzzmaster (10:09 PM)
Terrence Williams is here!
Matt ((Eagan, MN))
Hey Terrence, is there any player in the NBA right now that you think compares to the way you play the game?
Terrence Williams (10:10 PM)
I try to be more like Shane Battier
josizzle (washington)
Terrence how do you think all the experience in college will help you in the nba?
Terrence Williams (10:11 PM)
I think it will help a lot. The Big East schedule was a tough grind every night. It was like playing in the pros.
charles (NJ)
Yo Terrence, what will it be like feeding off Devin Harris?
Terrence Williams (10:11 PM)
I think it will be good. I think we can feed off each other. He's an all star I look up to him as far as his passing ability and my passing ability.
JD (MKE)
Why cant anyone ask an original question? How about, what part of your game is unique and what do you most need to improve?
Terrence Williams (10:12 PM)
I feel my passing ability the way I see the floor is unique. I need to improve shooting off the dribble.
Terrence Williams (10:13 PM)
Brooklyn is supposed to be in a couple of years. Hopefully I get used to the whole tri-city area.
John (FL)
Terrance, who was your favorite player growing up?
Terrence Williams (10:13 PM)
Magic Johnson.
Sean (Los Gatos)
How quick is your first step compared to other guards in the draft?
Terrence Williams (10:14 PM)
I think guys my size are faster, but I'm not a point guard.
Charlie (Chicago)
How do you feel working under Jay-Z, R U a fan?
Terrence Williams (10:14 PM)
I'm definitely a fan. It feels great to work under the greatest to ever touch a mic.
Bert (Mizzou)
Do you have any goals 4 your rookie year?
Terrence Williams (10:15 PM)
Make the playoffs. I don't worry about individual goals.
Cody (South Dakota)
Will you be a starter next season?
Terrence Williams (10:15 PM)
That's not my concern right now.
Wes (WA)
Do you plan on Tweeting a lot while in the NBA?
Terrence Williams (10:16 PM)
Yes sir. I'm trying to be the next Shaq with Tweeting - @TheRealTWill
Terrence Williams (10:17 PM)
I want to say to my fans in New Jersey, you received a player that gives 110%. I look forward to playing for you guys. Let's work together and make the playoffs.
Buzzmaster (10:17 PM)
Thanks TWill!
Buzzmaster (10:18 PM)
Next up is Austin Daye!
John (Jupiter)
When you were a senior in high school how many colleges where looking at you?
Austin Daye (10:19 PM)
going into the summer of my senior year, I was not ranked high. At the end of the summer, I was ranked in the top 25. So teams were starting to look at me.
Trent (Minnesota)
Austin, how was playing for Mark Few
Austin Daye (10:19 PM)
Great coach. Good mentor. Smart man. He definitley knows his X's and O's. I definitely see a Final Four in the future.
Vickers (Atlanta, GA)
how do you like the pistons system?
Austin Daye (10:20 PM)
It's changing. I think they're a great team. I haven't been able to watch them a whole lot being on the West Coast. They like to control games and they play good defense.
Dominic (OH)
whats it like being up on that stage?does the commish have a firm handshake?
Austin Daye (10:20 PM)
Yeah, he did. From a small guy, you wouldn't expect such a forceful handshake. It was a good experience.
T (NC)
Do you think you will be able to contribute right out of the gates for the pistons next year?
Austin Daye (10:21 PM)
Hopefully. I think so. They want me to come in and help any way I can. Block shots, rebounding, scoring. I'll do whatever I can to help the team.
Dino (CA)
What is your favorite pre-game meal?
Austin Daye (10:22 PM)
I would have to say Mexican food. I like it a lot. Meats, tacos. Definitely not reccommended, but it's one of my favorite pregame foods.
Clay (Pennsylvania)
Do you think the Rookie team will prevail during All-Star weekend?
Austin Daye (10:22 PM)
Hopefully. If we can come out and play like a team we can definitely win.
Tommy (California)
What influenced your decision to leave college early?
Austin Daye (10:23 PM)
Just a comfortable feeling that I would go high in the draft which I did. I'm happy that I did.
Sean (Massachusetts)
Who was the most challenging team that you played in your college career (and what year was it)?
Austin Daye (10:24 PM)
North Carolina this year.
Austin Daye (10:24 PM)
Thank you for all the support. Hopefully I'll talk to you guysin the near future.
Buzzmaster (10:24 PM)
Darren Collison is up next!
Ty (Iowa)
What aspect of your game do you most need to improve at the next level?
Darren Collison (10:26 PM)
Experience. For us rookies one thing they can say about us is we don't have enough experience. That's something I can always improve on. I'm looking forward to it.
Pat (Wooster)
how does it feel to be the fastest man alive?
Darren Collison (10:26 PM)
Feels quick.
Avi (NY)
What will it be like playing with Chris Paul?
Darren Collison (10:27 PM)
It's going to be great. Just playing behind one of the best pgs in the league, I get to soak up so much knowledge. Having that experience, will be great. Playing behind one of the best pgs in the league is something I really need for my future.
Chudi A (Atlanta, GA)
are you gona focus on playin point in the leauge or are u thinking bout tryin the 2 spot?
Darren Collison (10:27 PM)
Whatever works for the team. Whatever Byron Scott needs me to do. Regardless, I'll play the defense I've been playing the last twoyears. Right now, I'm just happy to be a part of the organization and I'll be successful at whatever role they give me.
Ian (Houston)
Are you looking foward to go to NOLA?
Darren Collison (10:29 PM)
Yeah. At this point, anybody can tell you that they're looking forward to going to any team. There's so much preparation in this process. We don't know where we're going. But you're going to give them your best. I'm definitely excited to be a part of New Orleans and I'm looking forward to being a part of this organization.
Trent (Jacksonville, Fl)
What are your expectations for your NBA carrer as well as your expectations as a team?
Darren Collison (10:29 PM)
I think my expectations is to be the best player I can be as a point guard. What more can I have than being behind one of the best PGs in the league. I'm going to take as much as I can from him.
Stephen (Fl)
Darren, will u miss UCLA?
Darren Collison (10:30 PM)
Aw man..I will more than miss it. Just hearing that question, it gets me stuck answering it. It's a great organization and a great staff. You can't have anything better than being at UCLA for four years.
Buzzmaster (10:30 PM)
Thanks Darren!
Buzzmaster (10:31 PM)
So....what did I miss while I was chatting with these guys?
Vince (Kansas City, KS)
blair? sam young?
Cris (NYC)
Absolutely nothing.
Rusty (MT)
why has blair not been picked??
Zach (fort collins)
Post my posts!!!
Charles (San Anto)
Bif thing in store for San Anto next season.
Omar (DC)
Wiz have to get Blair
DJ (Tampa)
Blair is this drafts big baby davis
Buzzmaster (10:35 PM)
Big Baby had a good playoff run.
Josh (Indianapolis)
Big Baby can shoot the J, Blair is more of an inside beast
Kevin (Pittsburgh)
sam young should have been picked in the first round
Buzzmaster (10:37 PM)
I change my selections of sleeper picks. Sam Young and DeJuan Blair are now my sleepers. A team is going to get good picks with those two.
Allan (NJ)
He wasn't the right fit for any teams so early
mike (pittsburgh)
so should have blair but where ever they go they will produce
Rick (Denver, CO)
Patty Mills can play to man
Phoolish (Syd, Aust)
Patty Mills is a sleeper too.
Buzzmaster (10:38 PM)
Another good one.
Jay (Pa)
Cant belive they aren't picked. They will be awesome late round pick ups.
Kevin (Kokomo, IN)
Chase Budinger was also talked about as a potential lottery pick.
Craig (Palm Bay)
Quentin Richardson for Darko?
Cameron (Kentucky)
DARKO
Buzzmaster (10:40 PM)
Darko might actually work in Mike D'Antoni's system.
Don (Minn)
If this one is not posted - I am going to bed.
Buzzmaster (10:41 PM)
Me too. If this isn't posted, I'm out of here...
Buzzmaster (10:41 PM)
....dang.
Avery (Bemidji, MN)
Danny Green is another sleeper, he can do anything.
Alex (CA)
No love for my man Chase Buddinger. Oh how the mighty have fallen
Matt (Philly)
hahahahahaha nice call buzzmaster
Buzzmaster (10:42 PM)
All I can say is I'm glad we can have a basketball related chat and not have anyone here complaining about the refs.
jake (iowa)
DaJaun summers is a big sleeper
Buzzmaster (10:43 PM)
Hang on...I'm going to go take a walk around and see if who's in the media line....
Buzzmaster (10:44 PM)
Christian Eyenga looks to be the next one up...he's just doing some other TV right now.
Bob (Detroit)
I think the refs have spoilled the whole draft
Buzzmaster (10:45 PM)
There it is!
Jawsh (Australia)
Dante Cunningham dude
Phillip (Baton Rouge)
Hornets=Blair PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GISMO (ATL)
R.I.P MICHAEL JACKSON THE KING OF POP
Bart (Baltimore)
The refs even ruin summer league games!
Andrew (Phoenix)
What in the world is going on with DBlair?
Buzzmaster (10:47 PM)
It's crazy. Teams must have seen/heard something they didn't like.
Nate (Connecticut)
He's probably slipping due to his size concerns.
david (nj)
the big men are lost in this draft... wheres the beef?
max (uw)
theres no great big men anymore the game has changed
Buzzmaster (10:49 PM)
Sam Young before DeJuan Blair.
Sagar Gopalani (Oceanside, NY)
wow blairs teammate chosen over him
Sean (NY)
there it is Sam Young
Adi (NY)
Big steal for Memphis, he's kinda like James Posey
Tyler (Houston)
I don't understand why Blair has fallen in the draft. I know his knees were bad but even still he was supposed to go higher. Is there some information about him that these teams know and we don't?
Buzzmaster (10:51 PM)
Don't know. But I'm sure our NBA guys will have something about it.
Buzzmaster (10:51 PM)
Blair to the Spurs! That's actually a good fit for him.
Sam (South Jersey)
Finally
josh (seattle)
quick pick, they knew who they wanted
lee (brooklyn)
he is 6'7 ..... in the league that is small for number 4 ... he also looks a bit slow at the highest level
Buzzmaster (10:51 PM)
Just watch him play. He's got a 7-2 wingspan. He's strong as an ox. Good post moves.
Josh (minnesota)
Blair alongside TIMMAAAYY!!
Sam (Texas)
So, are the Spurs anyones Finals pick next year?
Josh (Indy)
i think he will be great in SA
Jarrod (OH)
San Antonio is in the Top 5 for the championship after getting Jefferson and now Blair!!!!
Buzzmaster (10:52 PM)
Definitely. Good offseason for the Spurs so far.
Nick Reed (Bismarck, ND)
Barkley was 6'5, he turned out ok...
willy (miami)
so i guess budinger is next
Matt (NJ)
He isn't going to make highlight reels, but he will make a difference. Gives the Spurs a second low-post player.
Buzzmaster (10:53 PM)
Christian Eyenga is here!
jason (columbus, ohio)
evenga, how do you feel about possibly playing with lebron in a few years?
Christian Eyenga (10:54 PM)
It's something that I take a lot of pride to have the chance to play with one of hte best players in the world. I know I will be able to learn a lot from him.
ryan
Will you be coming to the NBA right away?
Christian Eyenga (10:55 PM)
I don't want to burn any bridges. It will be a step by step thing. I will come when I'm ready.
Josh (Indy)
What position do you see yorself playing for he Cavs
Christian Eyenga (10:56 PM)
Of course I will do whatever's necessary to help the team, but I feel most comfortable playing the three.
Tim (Barrington)
Evenga, what's going to be your biggest goal when you make your NBA debut in a few years?
Christian Eyenga (10:57 PM)
The key thing would be to help the team to win the championship and be a part of it.
Kevin (NY)
Were you expecting to be drafted in the first round?
Christian Eyenga (10:58 PM)
All of the players who were here were expecting to be drafted. Where? You don't know. But I was looking forward to being drafted.
Christian Eyenga (10:59 PM)
I am very grateful for the support. I would like you to continue to support me in the NBA. I will do my best to not disappoint anyone.
Buzzmaster (10:59 PM)
Christian was very cool. He was speaking through a translator. They both looked tired.
James (toledo)
Christain, welcome to the cavs!
Jason (Chicago)
Why did Dejuan Blair fall past Chicago? I thought he was a lock....
Sho (Cleveland)
Congrats Christian and welcome to Cleveland!!
Anthony (Storrs, Connecticut)
BUZZMASTER IS NOT NICE HE IS EVIL I MET HIM!!!!!!
mikey (NJ)
whats the deal with minnesota and 2 PGs? are they just gunna use 1 as trade bait?
Buzzmaster (11:03 PM)
They had three and used one as trade bait.
Buzzmaster (11:05 PM)
I just took a jaunt around to see who else was around. I think I saw Ty Lawson lurking. I'll try to confirm and then grab him if it was him.
stokesey (Perth)
Mills to go to L.A?? fishers heir apparent??
Buzzmaster (11:05 PM)
I thought that was Farmar? Or is he out of the rotation now?
Buzzmaster (11:06 PM)
Meeks to Milwaukee.
Cock (NY)
I love the Bobcats pick of Gerald Henderson, he is a future Star
Garrett (OH)
minnesota took 3 pg's
blake (MI)
Pistons really blew it. Terrible decision by Joe Dumars.
Gordon (Illinois)
Mark my words, Skiles will clash with Meeks early and often.
Jeff (Pittsburgh)
Why can't the Bobcats afford scouts outside of North Carolina?
Nick (Australia)
Hey mate. How come Patrick Mills has fallen so far? Will he get picked up in the 2nd round?
Buzzmaster (11:08 PM)
Well, mate, (can I use that if I'm not from Australia?) Chad Ford has him as the third best player left in the draft. So, you'd think that someone would pick him in the next 20 picks.
Jackson (Australia)
Has Mills been overlooked because he broke his hand late in the season?
Nate (RI)
Is there any buzz about someone taking a shot with Jimmy Baron?
Buzzmaster (11:10 PM)
Not in the draft. You'll have to see what happens in the summer leagues.
jackson (OKC)
are jack mcclinton and chase budinger the new sleepers
ray (idaho)
we need 43 teams, in recognition of richard petty
Buzzmaster (11:14 PM)
We've got Jonas Jerebko!
dan (detroit)
when will you go out to meet the team?
Jonas Jerebko (11:14 PM)
I don't know. I tihnk I'm flying out tomorrow to Detroit.
tim DC
what's the best part of your game?
Jonas Jerebko (11:15 PM)
My energy and defense.
Zach (Indianapolis)
How much do you know about the Pistons?
Jonas Jerebko (11:15 PM)
It's a championship team. They have a really good team.
Collin T. (Mass)
What NBA player do you think you compare well with?
Jonas Jerebko (11:15 PM)
Tyshaun Prince.
Kyle (East Lansing, MI)
Jonas what jersey number will you have/
Jonas Jerebko (11:15 PM)
I don't know if it's possible, but I would like to have 32.
Tyler (Melbourne)
Do you think you will fit in the Pistons lineup well?
Jonas Jerebko (11:16 PM)
Yeah, I think that might be the team that fits me the most.
eddy (detroit)
are you a hockey fan?
Jonas Jerebko (11:16 PM)
I am a hockey fan and Detroit is a good place to be for a Swedish hockey fan.
Travis (Seattle)
do you know much about the Detroit area? theres hard times a plenty currently
Jonas Jerebko (11:17 PM)
No, actually not. I don't know anything.
Andrew (Maryland)
How popular is basketball in Sweden? I assume "football" and hockey are the most popular sports.
Jonas Jerebko (11:17 PM)
Not so popular. Hopefully it's going to get more popular now.
Nick (Milwaukee)
What is your offseason going to look like now?
Jonas Jerebko (11:18 PM)
I will go play in the summer league and we'll see what the team wants me to do.
Jonas Jerebko (11:18 PM)
It feels good to be the first Swedish player drafted.
Buzzmaster (11:18 PM)
Thanks Jonas!
john (Maryland)
Minnesota took another pg whats going on?
Buzzmaster (11:19 PM)
They're stocking up on PGs. They're going to revolutionize the game and start 5 PGs. Kind of like that high school football team with the A-11 formation.
Buzzmaster (11:20 PM)
Change the game I tell you!!
dick barbeque (indy)
buzzmaster is ?
Buzzmaster (11:20 PM)
Da man!
Ben (Illinios)
If buzzmaster fell in the woods would he make a sound?
Pedro (Toronto)
Finally Danny Green got drafted. Why no hype?
Buzzmaster (11:23 PM)
Good pick.
Martin (Australia)
Either that, or the T-Wolves are planning on recruiting Don Nelson.
LUIS (PORTUGAL)
AHAHA
Buzzmaster (11:23 PM)
I've always wanted to visit Portugal.

Connor (Boston)
Wow no PG? Buzz what happend to the 5 poing guard thing?

Buzzmaster (11:28 PM)
All right Taylor!
Buzzmaster (11:29 PM)
Danny Green is here!
MJ (CBUS OH.)
danny green welcome to cleveland

McClinton: more proof the Spurs are smarter than everyone else, shrewd drafting
Buzzmaster (11:37 PM)
AJ Price drafted! Good for him.
Phil (Flagstaff, AZ via NC)
Go Spurs! These sort of talents gravitate to them in the second round.
Sean (LA)
great pick
Bagman (VA)
Buzzmaster, are you Jeff Van Gundy, or perhaps Alonzo Mourning? Because if you are either the feud is more ardent.
Buzzmaster (11:38 PM)
That's a negative Ghost rider...or is it Ghost writer?
Sam (East Lansing)
Suton is a great fit in Utah
drew (jvill, fla)
the spurs better be smart bout this
greg (storrs, ct)
a.j price is going to be way better than marcus williams who went early first round last year
Go Green (Denver)
Yea Suton!
Matt (OK)
Buzz must not like Okies, I can't get a post, and he only mentions one short line about Taylor
Jason (NC)
This sucks that for the second time a big man has got taken 3 picks before the bobcats get to draft. It would have been great if they could have got blair or suton.
Buzzmaster (11:41 PM)
7 picks left!
Dan (New York)
Where you at Paul Harris?
Buzzmaster (11:41 PM)
Hold on. I'm going to see if Danny Green is still around.
Jordon (Detroit)
I'm going to leave a spot on my rec league team for Patty Mills since apparently nobody in the NBA wants him
Buzzmaster (11:44 PM)
Six picks remaining. Six picks!
Buzzmaster (11:44 PM)
I kinda miss having Andy Katz on the other side of the curtain like we had last year. I was able to listen in on all of his phone calls when he was tracking down trades.
Drew (Rochester, MN)
Are we gonna go a draft w/o a Gonaga player drafted for once?
Buzzmaster (11:45 PM)
There was a Gonzaga guy in Austin Daye.

Mickey (NC)

Buzzmaster (11:46 PM)
Good job Patty.
Buzzmaster (11:46 PM)
Looks like we might not get Danny Green. I'll see if we can track down Patty.
Joshua (Palmdale, CA)
Lakers were dumb for not taking Patrick Mills they need fast PG's
Buzzmaster (11:46 PM)
5 picks left!
Buzzmaster (11:47 PM)
Stu Scott interviewing the Wolves right now.
Rob (Philly)
So wait... The t-wolves picked ANOTHER PG in Calathes? Whaat are they planning on doing with him?
bryan (oregon)
Is Mills going to be a good enough impact to be a possible back up right away or even start?????
Darin (Milwaukee)
maybe they should have drafted a coach
Bret (Louisiana)
it looks like minn wanted plenty of options to replace foye. just let them all have a group tryout. haha
Darren (Australia)
You tube and see
Matt (Indianapolis)
True fans .. never get there question answered. What a shame..
Buzzmaster (11:48 PM)

Buzzmaster (11:52 PM)
Hey...I said the "True Fans" line is over there.
Rob (Philly)
Ricky rubio is going to be the best player from this draft. Hands down. Not close.
Bart (atlanta)
The NBA draft is looking more and more like the MLB...don't draft for need, just draft for value.
Greg (portland)
Am I not witty enough to get a post here!?
Mike (Buzzmasters Car)
Im waiting for you by the car now, very dissapointed i did not get in the chat...

Buzzmaster (11:58 PM)
People on our polls like the Wolves' new 3 PG offense. 50% think they improved through the draft the most.
Allen (PA)
The W's have to have their fingers crossed that Dionte Christmas goes undrafted. He is their guy.
Bret (Louisiana)
if one of the 3 turns into a legitimate pg, then they did!
Susan (Washington)
I'm still rooting for my cousin Josh Heytvelt - to add dunk power to a team!
Alan (Los Angeles)
I H8 YOU BUZZMASTER
Buzzmaster (11:59 PM)
That's cute.
Greg (portland)
I'm still waiting for my best friend Michael Jordan to call me

It comes with the territory of being a wildly famous (in my house) chat host.
Alan (Los Angeles)
im just kidding, just frusterating for not getting my question up
Buzzmaster (12:01 AM)
Sorry. There's 150,000 in the queue right now.

Matthew (Milwaukee)
TALK ABOUT THE NBA AND NOT THE STUPID CHAT HOST
Adam (Lansing)
I thought my question about the large amount of foreign players in this draft was good enough to get posted. So...why are there a large amount of foreign players being drafted this time?
Buzzmaster (12:04 AM)
Because that's where the talent lies.
Craig (Lumberton, NC)
International > College, there will be more Brandon Jennings
Arash (St.Maarten)
of the 150,000 posts how many are in poor taste
Buzzmaster (12:05 AM)
