McGee has covered racing for ESPN, FOXSports.com, FSN and The Sporting News. Since August 2002, he has served as editor-in-chief at NASCAR Images. He joined ESPN The Magazine this season.
In the book, McGee teams with retired NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace, who wrote the foreward. Wallace, who retired in 2005 with 55 career wins, including the 1989 Cup Championship, is the lead auto racing analyst for ESPN and ABC Sports.
