Chat with Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson!

Johnson became a household name after his fast rise in the World Wrestling Federation where he was a nine-time World Champion. In 2000, he hosted Saturday Night Live and his movie career was born. Offers began rolling in and before long, ''The Rock" was a Hollywood heavyweight with roles in "The Mummy Returns", "The Scorpion King", "The Rundown" and more.
In "The Game Plan'', Rock plays a successful quarterback who discovers the 7-year-old daughter he never new he had and learns to juggle the life of a famous athlete with that of a loving parent.
Just recently, Johnson's former employer, the WWE, was in the news for suspending 10 wrestlers for violations of a drug and steroids policy. This comes on the heels of the murder-suicide of Johnson's former colleague, Chris Benoit, believed to be prompted by Benoit's steady use of steroids.

We're getting The Rock right now!

Sorry for the delay!

How much did you remember back to your own football days to help you with this movie?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:10 PM)
Good question. Playing football for the U helped me tremendously in terms of retaining a little bit of football ability. I was able to carry that over into the movie.
James (Chicago)
Rock, do you have a daughter? What did you do to learn how to relate to a 7-year-old?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:11 PM)
I do have a little 6-year-old girl. The relationship that I have with her helped me tremendously with the role. It was a very unique relationship that a daddy has with his little girl that can never be duplicated.
al (Florida)
Rock, important question here. You're starting to be in more and more movies, so what are we supposed to call you? The Rock? Dwayne Johnson? D-Jo? D-John? What? Help me out!
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:11 PM)
I want you to call me "sir". But since you're a Floridian like myself, you can call me DJ.
John (Cloquet, MN)
Dwayne, which movie did you have the most fun making?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:13 PM)
The movie I had the most fun making was a porn in college....KIDDING! Hahahaha. It would have to be The Game Plan. Not just saying that because I'm promoting it, but because it was the first big broad comedy I was able to do. Couple that with the fact that I could live out my dream of playing a professional QB.
James (Boston, MA)
Hey Rock! You ever coming back to the ring? Only one more championship and you're in double digits...
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:15 PM)
Good question. Four years ago, I quietly retired from wrestling. I thanked every body I needed to thank and said good bye. I would love to get back into the ring, however, I realize there's no room for me to grow as a performer. The good thing is that I have a very active imagination, so I hit double digit-championships five years ago.
Luke (Charlotte)
You know you were going to get this question, so I'll be the one to ask. What are your thoughts on steroids? the WWE recently suspended 10 guys for policy violations.
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:17 PM)
Good question and important question. I believe there should be an aggressive educational policy put in place. I'd like to see these guys armed with the knowledge and educate themselves on the disasters of illegal drug use mixed with that lifestyle. In the wake of all the tradgic events in wrestling, it's vital. Something has to be done. And I know that the WWE is implimenting a very aggressive plan to improve that environment.
Bill (Chicago)
Were you ever pressured to do steroids in your playing or wrestling career? Did you see others doing it?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:18 PM)
I was never pressured to use steroids while I was playing football or while I was in wrestling. At the University of Miami, we had a very strict drug testing policy. In wrestling, I never cared about being the biggest guy or the most muscular. All I cared about was entertaining the crowd.
Nick (NJ)
What are your favorite NFL teams? Do you have any friends in the NFL? How bout T.O.?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:20 PM)
My favorite NFL team is my hometown Miami Dolphins (you better not laugh). And any teams that have players I played with on - Oakland Raiders (Warren Sapp), Ravens with Ray Lewis.

Do you think Hulk Hogan opened doors for wrestlers in the Movie industry?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:22 PM)
No. I think Hulk Hogan utlized his incredible success to get into Hollywood. I know he's had success from a financial standpoint as an actor. From a personal standpoint, he's been acting like his catchphrases are better than mine, for years. Truth is, I know he and his family and he's a good man and good people.
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:22 PM)
It was an honor to headline Wrestle Mania with him.
Scott (Cleveland)
What happened to the U? a couple of years ago they were one of the most dominant college football team around, now they struggle to get to .500. Will they ever get that swagger back, or did the Gators take all thier mojo?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:25 PM)
That's the million dollar question, amigo. I anticipate a great game, this Thursday against Texas A+M. After an ass-kicking like that, that we got from Oklahoma, two things will either happen...either they won't recover psychologically and the rest of the season goes down the drain. Or, they'll rebound and learn from their mistakes and have an outstanding rest of the season. Randy Shannon was my coach when I was at Miami. I believe in him and our players, and I gaurantee (and I always get in trouble when I gaurantee things in sports) win, lose or draw, my 'Canes are going to whoop some Aggie ass and slap some lips off their faces.
Tony (Palatine, IL)
Are you looking over your shoulder to see if you're getting Punk'd again any time soon?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:26 PM)
DUDE, THEY GOT ME. After pushing the cop, and going after that guy, I honestly thought I was going to prison for assault on an officer and my career was going down the toilet. Who would have ever thought some of the greatest words I would ever hear was going to be "Dwayne, you're being punk'd"?
Adrian (IL)
Any regrets with how everything has gone for you so far? Is this what you dreamed of as a kid?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:29 PM)
Great question Adrian. Life's too short. I try not to live in regret. The life I'm living now is beyond any dream I had as a kid. When I was a kid, the only thing I wanted to do was make enough money to hopefully buy my parents a house. Now....I've bought more than a few houses for them. So I'm a lucky man and blessed to have so many good people around me. And to quote my buddy Steve Carrell, "Isn't money f-ing great?" Sorry, I had to take it into the toilet, but I laughed my ass off when he said that.
G-Money, Miami
How often do you get down to Miami and are you still hooked on the Chicken Kitchen?
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:30 PM)
Hell yeah, G-Money! I'm still a South Florida boy. But you have to now try chicken grill, brother. I believe it's the same owners and Chicken Kitchen, only they serve up brown rice as well as yellow. Keep it real, 305.
Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson (2:32 PM)
I gotta roll now. I have to go do College Football Live and talk a lot of @#$% and make bad picks, because I continuously pick with emotion. And not with good thought process. Yes, it's embarrassing considering my football background, but damn I'm having fun up here at ESPN. I've enjoyed answering these questions. Thanks guys. And more importantly than that, as always, I appreciate all your support and hope you like the movie. For the love of God, don't buy it on bootleg. Peace.
