The Bronx is Burning was an eight-part mini-series on ESPN that chronicled the 1977 eventful summer in New York City. The drama with the Yankees, the city's blackout as well as the Son of Sam serial killer. The DVD goes on sale Tuesday, September 25.
Rivers spent parts of four seasons (1976-1979) of his 15-year career with the Yankees. For his career, Rivers hit .295 with 1,660 hits and 267 stolen bases.
