Pulver made his WEC debut Wednesday night in a featherweight matchup against Cub Swanson, which was seen live on VERSUS, from The Joint - Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Pulver stopped Swanson via tap out at 35 seconds of the first round.
Pulver is fighting for just the third time in the last two years, after taking a four-year leave from the UFC and WEC. In his last fight, in June 2007, Pulver lost via submission to BJ Penn in the Ultimate Fighter 5 finale. Pulver was the first lightweight champion in the UFC history, when he won the title in 2001.
