Buzzmaster (10:20 PM)
Hellooooooooo! I'll be coming to you live from Mobile, Alabama all week! We'll kick things off on Monday at noon ET! I'll be back with the Morning Buzz on Tuesday!
Buzzmaster (12:23 PM)
Sorry for the delay folks, internet problems....actually I was finishing my grits. It is crazy as ever down here!
dave (new york)
anyone there?
Buzzmaster (12:25 PM)
I just saw Romeo Crennell walk by. Right now the players are getting weighed in, but that will end in a half hour or so.
Lawder (Essex, CT)
hello dave
Steve (MA via E. Hartford)
Has LDT taken off his helmet yet?
Trevor (Michigan)
Whats ups
mark florida
Who are the quarterbacks for each team?
Buzzmaster (12:27 PM)
Well we should have John David Booty, Colt Brennen, Andre Woodson, Matt Ryan, and Chad Henne among others.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
what time is each player going to be here?
Buzzmaster (12:29 PM)
Well we are trying to line up Penn State's Dan Connor, and Michigan St. TE Kellen Davis for later today. I can't give you exact times as of right now though as there are a ton of events on this first day and the players are being pulled in 100 different directions.
Buzzmaster (12:29 PM)
Also, we are going to try and get some guys from Scouts Inc. to chat with us.
Os (Jersey)
Any hype at weigh in? Every year scouts rave about how someone looks.
The Dish (Elgin, IL)
Is this a regular Buzz chat?
Buzzmaster (12:31 PM)
Hey is Buzz is chatting, it's a Buzz chat.
mark ((florida))
I thought that i had heard a rumor that ryan had backed out
Buzzmaster (12:31 PM)
Yes, I believe he has. My bad on that one.
Phill (Chicago)
will you tell us when you get a chance to see which qb has looked good and which one looks bad
Buzzmaster (12:32 PM)
Of course. Just keep in mind these players have not even had their first practice yet.
adrian (new bern)
Am I right, that Henne has a lot to gain by this game.
Buzzmaster (12:33 PM)
Everyone has a lot to gain from this trip. It is a business trip for everyone.
Ric Flair (Charlotte, NC)
If Buzz is chatting, then all I can say is WOOOOOOOOOO!
billy (kentucky)
Who is coaching the teams
Buzzmaster (12:35 PM)
The coaching staffs are from the Raiders and 49ers.
brian virginia
is their any VT player their and if so how are they
Buzzmaster (12:37 PM)
Xavier Adibi is here, along with a couple other Va. Tech guys.
Jeff ((Livonia, Mi))
Oh great. Go Mike Singletary.
Ryan (Southborough, MA)
How do 59% of people not watch Tom Petty at halftime? That's terrible.
adrian (new bern)
Maybe those coaching staffs should move to college, anyway. They are not doing to well in NFL.
Warring (dallas,Tx)
What exactly does Brohm have to prove? The scouts have seen enough of him and what he can do, no doubt he is the best pure drop back passer in the draft, why risk anything? He is a top 10 pick for sure and depending on team need or trades, maybe top 5....4 quarters vs...4 years of film, games, stats....dont blame brohm at all...
scott (MD)
The 49ers Mikes will find some good linebackers
Richard (Chicago)
Is mike Hart there?
Buzzmaster (12:38 PM)
No he is not.
Jeff (Phoenix, AZ)
Do you think coaching these kids gives the staffs an unfair advantage come draft day?
Buzzmaster (12:40 PM)
I don't think so, as this is a pretty open thing and there are Scouts from all NFL teams here. And even if there is a bit of an advantage, there is always the combine.
Mark (Boston)
my hat goes off to phillip rivers, hell of a performance yesterday
Jordan (Columbus, OH)
Is Shawn Crable there? Kid is a physical Monster
Buzzmaster (12:41 PM)
I see him on the roster.
FIELDS (TEXAS)
You have to take Dre' Woodson from Kentucky!!
Zak (Colorado)
I still do not see the hype surrounding Matt Ryan, I watched him play a couple times, will someone please tell me why I should be so in love with him along with all the scouts
Jeremy (Cape Coral, FL)
I concur on Ryan...
Billy (Minnesota)
He is tall, has a strong arm, and has the accuracy to through the ball anywhere
todd (cincinnati, oh)
i think the best all-around qb this draft will be chase d.
MB (KY)
Whats everyone's take on woodson?
Jeff (Iowa)
Buzz, this may the first time I have chatted with you when I am actually eating lunch instead of just thinking about it.
Ryan (Southborough, MA)
So is this essentially a 5 hour Buzzmaster?
Buzzmaster (12:46 PM)
No man. We'll get players and Scouts, relax.
Joe (Omaha, NE)
he isn't in the draft he is comming back
jacob (lexington ky)
Andre woodson is raw and is the best qb in the draft
Billy (Baton Rouge)
Any LSU Tigers down there?
Buzzmaster (12:49 PM)
There are many, many Tigers down here...along with Trojans.
Pete (NY)
Andre Woodson will be playing in Soldier Field next year.
Paul (Orlando)
Buzz, I think Ryan (Southborough) was being extremely hopeful. You just crushed his day.
Conner ((Oregon))
Why are you posting all these mindless statements instead of my thought-provoking ones?
Buzzmaster (12:50 PM)
That's not true...I just posted a mindless question.
floyd (nj)
how's the weather in mobile?
Buzzmaster (12:52 PM)
It's actually really cold. It was almost in the 30s yesterday.
matt (cambridge, ma)
does anyone know if mario manningham will be back?
connor (buffalo)
which players from USC are in the senior bowl
Buzzmaster (12:53 PM)
Sam Baker, John David Booty, Fred Davis, Sedrick Ellis, Lawrence Jackson, Drew Radovich, Keith Rivers, Chauncey Washington
Ben (Mobile)
Much colder than normal, but clear skys.
Andrew (Silver Spring, MD)
manningham is leaving
Christian (High Point, NC)
Manningham declared for the draft last week.
Os (Jersey)
Matt, Mannigham pretty much got told to leave. As did Arrington
Nate (Dexter, MI)
Is Charles Godfrey there?
Buzzmaster (12:55 PM)
Yes
Andy (Ann Arbor)
Dexter, MI? Nice!
Andrew (Palo Alto)
JOE FLACCO!!! Im making the prediction that this kid is going to shoot up draft boards after this week. He has all the tools and I am expecting him to put together a stongest showing of any QB in attendance.
Buzzmaster (12:56 PM)
Hey now Fighting Blue Hens
Kevin (London)
Is Dan Connors there, any other nittany lions?
Buzzmaster (12:56 PM)
I believe he is the only Lion.
lj (nj)
whats for lunch in mobile today?
Buzzmaster (12:57 PM)
Haven't decided yet.
greg (ohio)
i'd worry about woodson's slow delivery
Bob (Washington. D.C.)
Chad Henne will be the next great Michigan-trained QB
Kennan (Ohio)
Any Buckeyes there?
jake (orlando)
ur right hennes solid - tough, smart, and well-pedigreed...id take him over woodson
Brian (las vegas)
the media has to hype up average qb's look at Brady Quinn he definitly would have dropped out of the first round if not for cleveland now what do they do with anderson he will want a nice pay raise and brady quinn sits again
Bubba (Tennessee)
Woodson can find the open guy in any coverage
Hulk Hogan (Gladiators Set)
Yo Buzzmaster, find me some future Gladiator contestants down there, BROTHER!
Buzzmaster (1:08 PM)
Hey guys the players are starting to file out here, so we may have a special mystery guest soon!
Dean (MI)
With a good senoir bowl showing could chad henne move up to an early second pick
Buzzmaster (1:09 PM)
Chris Ellis from Virginia tech is here....fire away!
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
awesome
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Who was your fav player growing up?
Chris Ellis (1:10 PM)
Jerry Rice, I was a big 49ers fan. He had a great work ethic, and he was on all those tough guy tapes, and I loved how he played on the field.
Andrew (Silver Spring, MD)
chris if you could chose 1 team who would you play for?
Chris Ellis (1:11 PM)
Whoever drafts me. I am just looking for a job!
Tom (Chicago)
Are you going to be at the combine? What do you think you need to work on before then?
Chris Ellis (1:12 PM)
Yes I will be there. My upper body strength is something I need to work on and sticking the cone drills and the positions drills. I want to show my versatility as a LB, and play a little stand-up DE too.
Will (Bensalem, Pa)
Dude I'd like to have you line up on the other side of Trent Cole.
Tyler (Eugene, OR)
Do you miss the College life?
Chris Ellis (1:12 PM)
Yeah a little bit. Right now there is not much free time, but that was expected. But you need to get a job at some point.
Christian (High Point, NC)
Thanks for being here, Chris. What are you more comfortable playing in, a 3-4 or a 4-3?
Chris Ellis (1:13 PM)
I would say a 4-3 because I play with my hand down, but I am willing to play a 3-4 and drop in coverage. Either system works for me.
Jordan (Slinger, WI)
What do you do in your spare time?
Chris Ellis (1:14 PM)
Relax as much as I can, and I like to play chess.
billy (kentucky)
what do you think is what seperates you from all the rest
Chris Ellis (1:14 PM)
My high motor, and the fact that I am always around the ball; I usually stay glued to the ball.
Carl (Florida)
You get off of blocks pretty well, how do you think that part of your game will translate to the next level?
Chris Ellis (1:15 PM)
Hopefully it translates well, because if you cannot get off a block you won't be any good. So I hope it helps me a lot.
Josh (Milwaukee)
Chris, what do you think your rating will be on Madden 09?
Chris Ellis (1:16 PM)
Well it depends on where I get drafted. I hope they have me as an impact player.
Christian (TX)
Who do you look forward to playing with or against in the NFL?
Chris Ellis (1:16 PM)
First and foremost, I look forward to playing with a successful defense. Everyone in the NFL is the best of the best. But I do look forward to playing against LT.
RJ (Boston)
where do you feel you should go?
Chris Ellis (1:17 PM)
They had me late first to early second, as far as the experts. I think I should go right after the last player that is better than me.
Buzzmaster (1:18 PM)
Carl Nicks joins us next from Nebraska!
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
What is your fav pregame meal?
Carl Nicks (1:20 PM)
I like some spaghetti and steak. I need my protein and carbs.
Jay (Birmingham, Alabama)
Carl, how much if any impact did Bill Callahan have on your career at Nebraska?
Carl Nicks (1:20 PM)
He had all the impact. If he didn't give me the chace I do not know if I would be here.
Chris (Columbus,IN)
Where do you see yourself starting on the O-line.Can u play Tackle to Tackle
Carl Nicks (1:21 PM)
Yes, I can play both sides.
Jake (Bloomington)
If you could pick anywhere to play where would it be and why
Carl Nicks (1:22 PM)
Whoever drafts me. But it would not hurt to be drafted in Cali!
floyd (nj)
carl do you prefer rigth side or left..?
Carl Nicks (1:22 PM)
The left. I am just more comfortable there.
jdell (germany)
what to you is your strongest assest to the game
Carl Nicks (1:22 PM)
My size and power.
Jordan (Slinger ,WI)
Do you listen to pre-game music?
Carl Nicks (1:23 PM)
Man I listen to Lil' Wayne and anything that is going to get me lose. I also listen to some 2Pac. Those two are in my heavy rotation.
Sam (Chicago)
Which player in the NFL do you compare the most to?
Carl Nicks (1:24 PM)
Either Orlando Pace or Walter Jones.
Christian (TX)
Would you rather protect Payton or Eli?
Carl Nicks (1:24 PM)
Peyton.
g-man (baltimore)
Who is your idol
Carl Nicks (1:25 PM)
I would say my pops.
Jason (Brighton, MI)
Carl, do you think the Nebraska program is headed in the right direction?
Carl Nicks (1:25 PM)
Yes, I think Bo is going to do a good job turning the program around to where it needs to be.
Carl (Florida)
How comfortable would you be in a zone blocking scheme at the next level?
Carl Nicks (1:26 PM)
About as comfortable as I was when we were doing it at Nebraska.
Jovan (Bronx, NY)
Do you think you ca have as much success as Joe Thomas your rookie year?
Carl Nicks (1:26 PM)
I hope so.
Eric (Sunshine State)
Who would you rather go against Shawn Merriman or Dwight Freeney ?
Carl Nicks (1:27 PM)
Merriman. I would like to shut him down.
g-man (baltimore)
Who do you think is the best O lineman in the NFL
Carl Nicks (1:28 PM)
That's a tough one. There are so many good ones. But Joe Thomas is way up there as a rookie.
Jason (Brighton, MI)
Carl, I'm at work, shhhh don't tell my bosses.
Sam (Chicago)
Being such a big guy, is it hard to maintain your weight?
Carl Nicks (1:29 PM)
I mean it is hard for any guy over 300 but it takes work just as with anythng else.
Will (Bensalem, Pa)
Could you handle Freeney's spin move?
Carl Nicks (1:29 PM)
I would like to say yes, but it is different when you are actually out there. i will try my best!
Buzzmaster (1:30 PM)
That's all the time Carl had!
Buzzmaster (1:31 PM)
Adarius Bowman from Ok. State is up next!
Carl (Florida)
Nice work Buzz! Keep bringin in the ballers!
Bryan (Akron)
Adarius, do you consider yourself more of a possession reciever or big play threat?
Adarius Bowman (1:33 PM)
I feel like I fit both roles. But people look at me as a big play threat because of what I did in college. But I would not single myself out as that. It all depends on what offense I am in.
Jay (Dallas, TX)
How do you expect to handle the rigors of the NFL?
Adarius Bowman (1:34 PM)
The biggest thing is getting into a routine and learning. I need to learn the playbooks, and that comes from working hard in practice and getting the reps. So the playbook will be difficult, but once I get the reps I should be fine, since I am a very quick learner.
Will (Bensalem, Pa)
Dude the Eagles could use a WR, could you fit in a west coast offense?
Adarius Bowman (1:36 PM)
You can put me on the West coast, East coast, North coast, or South coast offenses. Tell the Eagles to come get me! I am a fast learner, so yes I can handle the West Coast offense. I would love to play in old Philly and be an Eagle!
Matt (Grand Rapids)
Did you and your teammates ever talk about Coach Gundy's "I'm a man, I'm 40!" rant? I think players would like that thier coach would stand up for them.
Adarius Bowman (1:37 PM)
I respect him a lot for that. He expressed his true feelings that time, and we all backed him up. He is a great player coach. His players just love playing for him.
reed (dallas)
what current reciever do you look up to in the nfl?
Adarius Bowman (1:38 PM)
I am really a Moss fan. It could be because I am coached by the same guy who coached him at Marshall. Me and Randy spoke a few times, and he is a great guy. He is one of the best I have ever seen. Rice and Owens are great, but Moss is my favorite. He's a baller!
Pat (Stamford, CT)
Who do you feel you compare most to in terms of your play?
Adarius Bowman (1:40 PM)
I would go with Owens because of my size and structure. But I promise my character is different. But in terms of on field play I would compare myself to Terrell, being more physical.
Adarius Bowman (1:41 PM)
That's all the time I got. Thanks for all the questions!
Buzzmaster (1:41 PM)
Thanks to you Adarius!
Buzzmaster (1:43 PM)
Man that guy is full of energy. So far one of the best personalities down here!
Jake (Bloomington)
who is next
Buzzmaster (1:44 PM)
We actually might get Todd McShay on here in a few minutes since the players now have to go to some meetings.
Joel (Ann Arbor, Michigan)
get Todd on here
Bryan (Akron)
Alright Buzz! keep em coming!
Buzzmaster (1:48 PM)
No problem. We are tracking Todd down right now.
Christian (High Point, NC)
Todd McShay? What position does he play? (Just kidding)
Darryl (Jacksonville)
What position does Todd McShay play??
Buzzmaster (1:49 PM)
Guru.
Ryan (LA)
You need to get some LSU Tigers up in here.
Buzzmaster (1:49 PM)
We are definitely working on getting some Tigers on here for today or tomorrow.
Ryan ( (LA))
buzz r u goin to watch the game?
Buzzmaster (1:52 PM)
Of course!
Buzzmaster (2:00 PM)
Alright guys, no Todd. But next up we will have Steve Muench of Scouts Inc. taking all your Senior Bowl questions.
Josh (Asheville, NC)
Buzz, is your Nation or at least one of your devoted chatters (me) going to be able to chat with some of the Wolverine players? I am a big Wolverine fan and live in Applachcain State country. It has been a tough year for me with all the razing I get for it and talking to my boys would help with closure.
Buzzmaster (2:03 PM)
Josh, we'll try to bring you some closure this week.
Ryan (LA)
what day is the game on?
Steve Muench (2:04 PM)
Hope everyone is doing well and just wanted to start with Ryan's question. The game is on Saturday and kickoff is 3 pm ET.
Otto (CA)
Hello Steve. How does John David Booty compare to Matt Leinart?
Steve Muench (2:07 PM)
I think Leinart's resume was more impressive and he's a little taller making it ewasier for him to scan the field. I also think that Leinart's arm is a little bit stronger than Booty's.
steve (va)
Steve, do you think the ravens will step back a little bit from the brohm idea now that they cant see him at the senoir bowl?
Steve Muench (2:10 PM)
You are right for bringing it up and I think that the Ravens as well and the other teams that are interested in taking a QB are disappointed but I wouldn't make too much of a deal out of it. Scouts have seen enough of Brohm's game film to know what he can and can't do. If he interviews well and performs well during workouts it won't really matter. On the other hand, if he shows up this week and gets injured his stock could very well plummet.
Christian (High Point, NC)
How much pressure is Colt Brennan under after the Sugar Bowl debacle?
Steve Muench (2:13 PM)
A lot in my opinion. The biggest question with him have always been can he produce like this workiong against a higher level of competition than what he saw in the WAC. His performance against Georgia only ampified those concerns.
Steve Muench (2:15 PM)
It's also worth pointing out that the defenses aren't allowed to blitz this week. That means Brennan is going to see plenty of vanilla coverages and scouts know it. As a result, he won't be able to completly erase the showing agaisnt Georgia from scouts' memories even with a strong showing here.
Steve (Charlotte, Nc)
People keep saying Matt Ryan will be one of the top prospects in the draft. I think he has some good qualities that coaches want in a qb, but he lacks in awareness and accuracy and think anyone who would pick him in the first round would be wasting a pick, because it will take him at least a couple of years to be considered an alright qb. What do you think about Matt Ryan?
Steve Muench (2:19 PM)
Let's talk about the bad first. He threw too many picks and even thoguh it's not all his fault too man of those picks were returned for touchdowns. However, I think his awarness is one of his biggest strengths. Rememebr the Eagles' new scheme gives the quarterback far more responsibility and I think Ryan responded extremely well to carrying a heavier load. In fact, I think his ability to read the coverage and put the offense in the right play helped mask the fact that he didn;t have great receivers at Boston College. In addition, I like his size, he has decent arm strength and, in my opinion, his accuracy. He's capable of leading his receivers and dropping the ball in over coverage when he sets his feet.
Vince (Lexington, KY)
How can Andre Woodson's decision making really be a problem if he throws so few interceptions?
Steve Muench (2:22 PM)
You are right, he doesn't throw a lot of interceptions and to be honest I think his decsion making has imporved over the past three seasons. That said, interceptions aren't the only way to measure a quarterback's decion making. The reason Woodson could still improve in this area is he holds onto the ball too long at times. He'll have to do a better job of locating the open man and getting the ball out of his hands quicker at the NFL level. It's also important to point out that unlike Ryan he had two targets in Keenan Burton and Jacob Tamme that did a great job oif fighting for the ball while it was in the air this year.
Bob (Columbus, OH - IO!)
So, with all of the OSU juniors returning, do you think next years senior bowl will have the sub-plot of Ohio State vs. The World?
Steve Muench (2:25 PM)
It seems like its been Ohio State against the world ever since loing to Florida two years ago doesn't it? On a more serious note, there should be a heavy Ohio State presence at next year's Senior Bowl if all of the prospects show up. Guys like Jenkins and Laurinaits may not attend because they could go in the top ten making the risk of sustaining an injury too great.
David (Morgantown, WV)
What are your impressions of Owen "Runaway Beer Truck" Schmitt?
Steve Muench (2:28 PM)
I have yet to hear that nickname but I tell you this much I would not want to get in his way. He is a physcial lead blocker that takes pride in his blocking. He's also an effective short-yardage runner and a decent receiver/ The problem is he isn't fast or agile enough to move to running back and fullbacks don't play as big a role as the once did so Schmitt probably won't get picked up until the second day of the draft.
Brandon (Chicago)
Steve, what is your take on Joe Flacco? Do you think he can conceivably improve his draft stock to a late first rounder if he has a good week? The biggest knock on him has been the level of competition he faced at Delaware.
Steve Muench (2:31 PM)
Flacco has NFL size and arm strength making him one of the most intriguing prospects here. And you are right that the biggest knock on him is the level of competition he faced so his stock should shoot up if he plays well this week. However, Flacco doesn't have ideal mobility and he locks onto receivers too much so I think he could move into the seocnd round but don't see him movuing into the first.
Jake (Michigan)
Do you think mike hart could get picked up in the first and start right away. I mean look at how consistent he was all year long. He is a true warrior.
Steve Muench (2:34 PM)
Hart is a true warrior but his alck of breakway speed and eltie size puts a lower ceiling on his potential. With that in mind, I'm not sure he'll ever be an every-down back at the NFL level but he has a chance to be one of the best backups in the league so I seem him going in the third round.
Howard (California)
I continuously hear people say Woodson is not a mobile quarterback, but after watching him many times the past three seasons, I beg to differ. He has got plenty of mobility around the pocket, but when it comes to running down the field, he'd rather throw for 15-30 yards than run for 5-10. Your thoughts?
Steve Muench (2:37 PM)
He isn't a "mobile quaretrback: in the sense that he doesn't scramble much and he doesn't show eltie top-end speed or elusiveness in the open field. However, he's quick and aguile enough to buy time in the pocket and occassionally pick up yards with his feet. He certainly isn't a statue in the pocket.
Burt (Connecticut)
Rivals.com mock draft lists the Dolphins going after Matt Ryan with the first pick as opposed to Glen Dorsey...thoughts?
Steve Muench (2:40 PM)
It's not out of the realm of possibility now that Bill Parcells is running the show. After all he wasn't there when they drafted John Beck last year so he may want to go in another direction. But I still think it will be Dorsey because he could greatly improve that defense.
Spidey (Marsh Hall)
Steve - I know he's not participating in the Sr. Bowl, but could Timmy Hightower follow Westbrook's lead and go from a I-AA RB to a stud in the League?
Steve Muench (2:44 PM)
Wow talk about putting me in a difficult position considering I played at Richmond just like Hightower. The truth is I think that Hightower could make a career out of providing quality depth and contributing on sepcial teams. The reason I don't think he will follow in the footsteps of Westbrook is they have two different running styles. Westbrook is explosive and elusive making him well equipped for the NFL game. HIghtower on the other hand is more of a down hill runner that is going to have a far harder time breaking long runs at the NFL level.
Steve, Temecula, California
Again with 2 Drop back quarterbacks making it to the Superbowl, and all 4 Quarterbacks in the Championships yesterday, How can a player like Wooderson be a considered a better option in the Draft as oppsed to guys like Colt Brennan and or John David Booty?
Steve Muench (2:46 PM)
Earlier we talked about how Woodson is mobile but he is far more of a pocket passer than he is a scrambler. He's also taller than Booty and Brennan so he'll have an easier time scanning the field from within the pocket.
Billy (Gonzales, LA. (Home of Glenn Dorsey))
It can be said that Jacob Hester was LSU's MVP this season. Do you see him getting drafted? And if so, where?
Steve Muench (2:48 PM)
I'd be surprised if he doesn't get drafted i the later rounds because he does so many things well even if he isn't dominant in any one area.
Bill (Burlington, VT)
Steve, what happened to Steve Slaton this year, and why in god's name did he decide to go pro after disappearing in big games? Why did he leave WVU after a down year? (and take personnel files with him?)
Steve Muench (2:51 PM)
Nice touch with the personnel files and how strange is that whole deal? As far as Slaton goes I think he made the right decison in terms of his draft value. With Noel Devine likley getting more carries next year and a new head coach at the helm, there's a good chance Slaton's stock would have continued to slip next year.
Paul (TX)
I know Limas Sweed is injury prone, but could you see him going in the first round to a team like Tennesse that is in desperate need of a big play WR. It would take us all back to the 2005 National Championship days, with Vince connecting with Limas deep down field.
Steve Muench (2:53 PM)
I think he will go in the first round despite the injuries and Tennessee would be a good fit because of Young.
Oscar (Michigan)
What are Chad Henne's chances, if any at being drafted after such a bad year?
Steve Muench (2:54 PM)
I think Henne will come of the board in the second or third round. Yes he had a bad year but you have to take his shoulder injury into account when evaluating his performance. In addition, he had a strong game against Florida and, most importantly, he has the skill set to develop into a starting quarterback.
Gator Nation!!!!!!
What about TOny Joiner???????????
Steve Muench (2:56 PM)
Joiner projects as a late-round pick or even a rookie free agent because he doesn't have great speed or agility.
Jordan (WI)
Where do you think Chris Long will go in the draft?
Steve Muench (2:58 PM)
I see him going to the Rams or the Raiders so he projects as a top five pick.
Greg (Idaho)
Steve, besides McFadden who do you think are the better running backs to look for in this years draft?
Steve Muench (3:01 PM)
After McFadden. I rank them Illinois' Rashad Mendenhall, Oregon's Jonathan Stewart and Arkansas' Felix Jones. I also think UCF RB Kevin Smith, who projects as a middle-round pick, could be one of the sleepers in this year's draft.
Ron (Lexington, KY)
Woodson just had great receivers around him. If it hadn't been for Tamme, Johnson, and Burton Woodson's numbers would be subpar at best. Woodson underthrew his receivers all year long, and they had to come back on many occasions to catch the ball.
Steve Muench (3:03 PM)
I saw some of that and agree that he had a strong receiving corps but saying he underthrew receivers all year long is an exageration. And rememeber, he faced some of the nation's best pass defenses playing in the SEC. You may not think he should be rated as high as he is but he's still one of the better qb prospects in this class.
Eric (MI)
Am I right in saying Tim Tebow will never be an NFL player?
Steve Muench (3:06 PM)
Only time will tell but I think that there are plenty of sports books in Las Vegas that would take that bet. I'm guessing that you are basing your opinion on the scheme he plays in and the fact that he runs the ball so much so I get it on some level. However, Tebow threw the ball well this year and it will be interesting to see if he continues to improve as a passer. In addition, he has the arm stength and size NFL scouts look for in a quarterback.
Steve Muench (3:06 PM)
That's all from me for now. Take care and thanks for the great posts.
Buzzmaster (3:09 PM)
Thank you for joining us Steve!
Andrew (Tallahassee)
Who's next buzz?
Buzzmaster (3:15 PM)
Your guess is as good as mine. The unfortunate thing is on Monday the North and South squads practice together and the practice today runs from 3:30-5:00 p.m. ET.
Buzzmaster (3:16 PM)
But that does not mean that some players might not be getting out a little early.
Buzzmaster (3:16 PM)
I am curious as to which players you guys really want to hear from. If you could choose one player to chat with who would it be?
Matt (Grand Rapids)
Buzz, what did you have for lunch?
Buzzmaster (3:17 PM)
Ribs.
Blake (NC)
Henne
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
get DJ Hall from Alabama
Nick (Cleveland)
Are you guys the slowest typers or what?
Mike (Morgantown, WV)
Owen Schmitt. Get him in here!
Matt (TX)
LIMAS SWEEEd!!!!
Buzzmaster (3:18 PM)
Take heart Matt, I actually put in a request for Limas Sweed, so we should be getting him today or tomorrow.
Matt (Oklahoma)
Allen Patrick
brad (Grand Rapids)
I say henne also
Chris (LA CA)
i fought the buzz.....and the buzzmaster won!
Michael (New York)
LIMAS SWEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andrew (Tallahassee)
Buzz, how many times have you been to Mobile?
Buzzmaster (3:19 PM)
Many, many times. But it never gets old. Really nice people, and great food.
Eddie (San Diego)
I want to talk to Owen Schmitt. He would probably break the keyboard though.
Mike (Little Rock, AR)
Yeah, get Owen Schmitt for sure.
Eric (MI)
Buzz, go tell Mike Hart you're taller than him then come back!
Buzzmaster (3:19 PM)
If I ran a fatser 40 than him, I would.
Mike (NJ)
FLACCO. This guy has a ridiculous amount of hype surrounding him right now
Derek (KS)
Jordy Nelson!!
Buzzmaster (3:20 PM)
Another guy we've asked for.
Matt (TX)
LIMAS LIMAS LIMAS
Josh (Mobile)
jacob hester
Jeff (MI)
Henne it is, right Buzz?
Mark (seattle)
Limas Sweed
Buzzmaster (3:21 PM)
Looks like Chad and Limas are the top vote getters, but we're taking note of all the requests you guys sent in, whether they were posted or not.
Lance (San Diego, CA)
Schmitt Happens !
Buzzmaster (3:23 PM)
He guys, just a quick note, Rex Ryan just walked by. The guy has a sweet beard.
Marc (Gainesville)
The Senior Bowl, where Schmitt Happens?
Fred (NYC)
Hey Buzz, have you seen the players yet? who passes the eyeball test?
Buzzmaster (3:25 PM)
Adarius Bowman passes the personality test, and Carl Nicks is one big dude.
Greg (Georgia)
Did you ask Rex if he's the next Falcons coach?
Buzzmaster (3:26 PM)
I missed my chance.
Blake (NC)
Buzz, how do you pick between all of the stellar messages, including mine, which ones you are actually going to post?
Buzzmaster (3:27 PM)
Just how we pick from all the stellar players...it is completely random and who I see first.
Josh (Houston)
Buzz, honestly, what percentage of jobs on Earth can possibly be cooler than yours?
Buzzmaster (3:28 PM)
On weeks like this none. But hey worst job ever, question: Atlanta Falcons head coach, or Paris Hilton's latest pet?
Bob (Honolulu)
Keep a eye on Jason Jones, he will be the next Merriman
chad (Florida)
Please get Andre Caldwell in here.
Jordan (Slinger, WI)
I'm gonna be Buzz's successor.
Matt (TX)
yea, i rarely get posted. it makes me sad :(
Matt (TX)
hey buzz, pats or giants
Buzzmaster (3:29 PM)
GMEN!!!!
Buzzmaster (3:29 PM)
Kidding. If my life was on the line, I go with the Pats.
DEREK (MISSISSIPPI(20 MIN FROM MOBILE))
I WAS DOWNTOWN YESTERDAY GETTING MY TICKETS AND DIDNT REALLY KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING SO I JUST WALKED INTO THE HOTEL WHERE THE MAIN TICKET OFFICE IS FOR THE SENIOR BOWL AND THE HOTEL IS WHERE THE PLAYERS AND COACHES ARE STAYING ANYWAY I WALK IN AND RIGHT AWAY I KNOW IM NOT SUPPOSE TO BE IN THERE BECAUSE I SEE ED ORGERON AND MIKE NOLAN STANDING THERE TALKING TO LAWRENCE JACKSON FROM USC SO I JUST WALKED AROPUND FOR A WHILE TRYING NOT TO BE NOTICED AND NOBODY EVER SAID ANYTHING TO ME IT WAS AN AWSOME DAY
Mike (AR)
That's a tough one Buzz. I think I'd take the Falcon's job.
Matt (TX)
hahaha id say paris hilton's latest pet
Nick (Saint Bernard LA)
how about getting matt forte.i mean he didn't get any exposure this season, and he was one of the better running backs this year stat wise
Jerry (Jacksonville)
I think the Atlanta head coach, they could make it worse by trading for Pac Man.
Joe: (Tampa Bay, FL):
Buzz, do you think Colt Brennan weighing in at 185 is going to hurt him on Draft Day?
Buzzmaster (3:31 PM)
I think he'll put some weight on.
Mike (Morgantown, WV)
Buzz, that's a tough call, but I'd have to go with Hilton's pet. At least you get to see some good football teams with the Falcons head coaching job. Vick isn't there anymore, and that's a plus to me.
Eddie (San Diego)
I would rather die than go with the Pats...
Chris (LA CA)
college football: The BEST GAME IN THE LAND!!
Joe: (Tampa Bay, FL):
Tell Andre Caldwell that we'd love to have him back home in Tampa come Spring!
Buzzmaster (3:32 PM)
Hopefully you can tell him yourself in the next day or two through the chat.
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Buzz how does a huge sports fan get a job at ESPN?
Buzzmaster (3:33 PM)
A lot of luck.
Matt (Grand Rapids)
Buzz, did you know it was cold in Green Bay last night. Who knew?
Buzzmaster (3:33 PM)
What happened in Green Bay?
Chris (LA CA)
id rather live
Joe: (Tampa Bay, FL):
(about Brennan gaining weight)30 lbs worth? I know I wouldn't want to line up behind an NFL center under 200!!!
Buzzmaster (3:34 PM)
Maybe he could borrow some from my favorite SEC QB The Hefty Lefty, Jarrod Lorenzen!
Matt (TX)
the giants beat em thats wat
Baby Luv (Paris' kinkajou)
I WOULDN'T WISH THIS ON ANYONE, BUZZ!!!
Mike (Happy Valley, Pa)
Hey Buzz, how's Mobile? Give Dan Connor some love from the Nittany Nation!
Buzzmaster (3:35 PM)
Mobile is great, minus the cold weather,
Eric (Oklahoma)
Being Paris Hilton's pet is a bad job? I'd love it. LOL
Chris (LA CA)
why did they schedule a night game in green bay in january..i wonder how cold the ice bowl would have been at night
Neil (Los Angeles)
Who's the most physically imposing guy you've seen?
Buzzmaster (3:36 PM)
Chris Ellis was pretty imposing physically, but really nice guy to talk to.
Mike (AR)
Speaking of Lorenzen, did you see him last night on the sidelines without a coat on. That's a bad man.
D (MI)
Would you say you have scouts from every team there today? Any GMs and HC? John Clayton?
Jarrod Lorenzen (All you can eat buffet)
I go by "The Pillsbury Throwboy" now.
Buzzmaster (3:36 PM)
I haven't seen Clayton, but McShay is down here. And I did see Nolan and Romeo Crennel, along with the entire Oakland Raiders coaching staff.
Chris (LA CA)
im going to ask one of the seniors to "describe buzz"
SprungOnSports (Long Island)
none of the above, the worst job is being a Knicks fan.
Buzzmaster (3:38 PM)
You know it's bad when rooting for a team becomes a JOB, and a bad one at that.
Chris (LA CA)
RAIDERS!!! thats why i love lane kiffen..puttin in overtime
Christian (High Point, NC)
How much does it hurt the teams without head coaches this week? Or is it mostly a GM buffet?
Buzzmaster (3:39 PM)
I think it does hurt those teams, but there is always the combine, like we said earlier. And there is a good mix of Coaches and Scouts here...I have not seen any GMs but it's only the first day.
Jim Oh
The worst jobs are in Miami (playing for the Dolphins, Heat, and Marlins). Talk about a sports dump...at least they have the weather.
Buzzmaster (3:39 PM)
And Miami is just amazing. I think they should send me there after this.
Hank (CA)
The bolts would have won if LT played and the Pats offense is overated
Ryan (Ohio)
Everyone talks about players that didnt get exposure... but Trevor Laws was credited with over 100 tackles this year as a DEFENSIVE END... how does he get soooo overlooked buzz?
Buzzmaster (3:42 PM)
Has playing at Notre Dame become a bad thing as far as exposure?
Andrew (Tallahassee)
It's not the teams it's the fans in South Florida... I'm from West Palm and I love the teams, but the fans are fair weather... no loyalty.
Chris (LA CA)
Bolts are trash...i cant stand SD fans, their teams always get "screwed" accept they just arent that good...you had a good season stop crying
Matt (Grand Rapids)
If the Lions had a QB, OL, RB, secondary, and a couple of linebackers they would've won the Super Bowl!
Jeff (MI)
Buzz, what'd you think of the RR hire at Michigan?
Buzzmaster (3:44 PM)
Well all my Michigan friends are pretty pumped, going on and on about bringing the Michigan offense into the 21st century, so I'll share that enthusiasm.
Andrew (Tallahassee)
If the Lions had a GM...
Jordan (Slinger, WI)
Hey Buzz, are you a Packers fan? If not, you should be.
Bill (Burlington, VT)
Zbikowski vs. Oscar De La Hoya. Set some PPV records
Ben (Raleigh, NC)
Is the ACC expansion turning into a major dissapointment?
Buzzmaster (3:46 PM)
I don't think so. It's a bit early to claim disappoinement, no?
Norv turner (Gasslamp District)
remember guys...im the coach
Dan (KY)
i think the ACC will bounce back once Miami returns to its full strength. Give Shannon some time. NC State is bouncing back in a year or two as well
Jeff (MI)
Speaking of the Lions, have you seen Matt Millen, Buzz? Didn't think so...heard he's looking for a couple of WRs again this year...
Al Gore
I invented the Buzzmaster
Ryan (LA)
The ACC will never be as good as the SEC
Scott (Indy)
Hey Buzz, I saw Michigan also has a $4 million buy-out for Rodriguez...I thought that was a big coincidence or really odd
Pat (Ohio State University Student)
Michigan fan here, yeah.....that's right. I think Adrian Arrington is a better prospect than Manningham, your thoughts?
Buzzmaster (3:50 PM)
I like Manningham.
Helga (Dallas)
my son has been trying to post a comment on here buzzmaster. He is up set becasue you dont seem to want to post it.
Buzzmaster (3:50 PM)
What's your son's name...we'll put him on the board.
Matt Millen (MI)
I'm going to draft both Manningham and Arrington!
Rick (Long Island, NY)
Senior Bowl? Sounds like a bridge tournament at the nursing home...
Jake (Dallas)
Buzz. What is it with talented, but on the cusp, players like Jamaal Charles leaving early for 2nd round money? If he stays, improves his vision, and runs for another 1500+ yards next year, he would be one of the top 3 back's in the draft...
Buzzmaster (3:51 PM)
I think it comes down to the risk of getting injured and not getting anything.
Bill (Burlington, VT)
Big East Expansion rumor: Big East to add Boise State and Fresno State for 2010. They will also add Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, IUPUI, and Florida Gulf Coast University as basketball-only members
Chris (LA CA)
MC WHINERSON!!! mommy he wont post me!
John (Cincinnati)
i'll take the south in the game with all the sec players to win...too many big ten players on the north. can we ban osu from top 10 next year if they do not beat usc?
Josh (Denver)
Anyone who thinks Terrelle Pryor is the 2nd coming of Vince Young is going to be severely disappointed
Phil (Austin, TX)
SEC fans truly are obnoxious.
Josh (Denver)
Apparently Pat couldn't get into Michigan and had to settle for Ohio State.
Os (Jersey)
Wow... Helga with the strongarm! Come to think of it, "Helga" is quite the female wrestler name. I don't blame you Buzz.
Buzzmaster (3:52 PM)
Yeah...what the hell...have I gone soft?
D (MI)
If that's Helga from American gladiators, I watched out Buzz--that lady is a beast.
Mike (AR)
Buzz, don't give in to peer pressure!
Andrew (Tallahassee)
She has trouble shedding blockers though, no lateral quickness.
Peyton Manning (In A Bad Dream)
When did Eli become me? I supposed to be in the Super bowl!
Christian (High Point, NC)
So Buzz, when the players come by, do you have to be all like 'come chat!' and they're like 'whatever' ... or is there a line waiting and when you call their name they scream 'hell yeah, it's chatting time!!!!!'
Buzzmaster (3:56 PM)
It's somehwere in between.
D (MI)
Buzz you have to be kidding me...I figure Sweed or Henne would be hurt by now so they can leave practice early to chat with us.
Little girl in commercial (Hallway)
Eli is better than you
Helga (Dallas)
Buzzmaster, will you please say something to my son to make him feel better. He is truly upset and all of these jerks arent helping.
Buzzmaster (3:57 PM)
I would be happy to have little Jerry resend his comment and put it up.
Christian (High Point, NC)
I say we set Helga up with RGR
Eli Manning (New York, NY)
My name is Eli "Inigo" Manning. You broke all of my brother's records... prepare to die.
Jason (Billerica, MA)
whose next buzz?
Buzzmaster (3:58 PM)
Jerry
Chris (LA CA)
gots to get to work...i move for an afternoon buzz!!!
Archie (Throne room)
Helga, tell Eli to stop his whinning.
Jess (St. Pete, Fl)
Seinfeld?
Buzzmaster (3:59 PM)
Yes! You got it!
Kramer (NYC)
My little Jerry!
Jerry Jr. (Dallas)
Thanks for putting my this post on the board, Buzz. My mom promised me that you would!
Brandon
Can you casual fans possibly be an dumber? How about questions about the freaking players from the Senior Bowl? As in .... Colt Brennan weighed in at only 185, is he extremely small framed and does he look like he can carry more weight?
Buzzmaster (4:00 PM)
Brandon with an expert question.
Bania
Why do they call it Ovaltine? The glass is round...the container is round. Nothing is Oval!
Jerry (Dallas)
really? yay!
Cosmo Kramer, NY, NY
Little Jerry Seinfeld was born to cock-fight...can he really be the next buzz?
Mike (AR)
Buzz, am I wrong in saying that Peyton Hillis is the most versatile player in all of college football?
Buzzmaster (4:04 PM)
I am drawing a bit of a blank right now, but he seems to have great ability both catching passes and running out of the backfield.
Jim Oh
Hillis wasn't the most versitile player in his own backfield...let alone the country.
RussRob (KU)
hey Buzz is Jon Gruden out there watching??
Buzzmaster (4:04 PM)
Haven't seen him right now, but I'll keep an eye out.
Andrew (Tallahassee)
Hillis... No, Harvin yes.
rick (wv)
go steve slaton
Dan (KY)
Peyton Hillis can do alot. He will be a great 2nd or 3rd round pick for any club
Christian (High Point, NC)
Actually, Brandon, we could be dumber. We could be asking a question already answered in this chat ... like you just did.
Christian (High Point, NC)
Newsflash: Dungy is having a press conference in 30 minutes to announce his decision
Buzzmaster (4:05 PM)
Crap, I need to find a TV.
bmyster21 (marietta, ga)
yeah Percy Harvin is the man
Sean (Spokane)
Buzz, Do you have the coolest looking laptop out there?
Buzzmaster (4:06 PM)
Yeah, I covered it in glitter designs. But I made tough stuff like daggers and skulls.
Richard (Atlanta)
Peyton Hillis = Percy Harvin? Are you smarter than a 5th grader?
Elliott (NC)
NFL Network just reported that he is coming back...Tony Dungy
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Andrew, Harvin is a beast, I think he is better than Reggie Bush when Bush was a sophmore.
Paul (TX)
give us Limas!!!!!
Buzzmaster (4:07 PM)
Limas is practicing.
Buzzmaster's mom
Buzz honey, you can come out of the basement and watch the TV upstairs.
Buzzmaster (4:08 PM)
Mom, I told you I'm in Mobile. Now where's the meatloaf?!
ryan (melrose,ma)
This is why they made Slingbox,Buzz.
Tony Dungy (Indy)
I was just foolin' ya'll...I'm coming back babbby
SprungOnSports (Long Island)
The Giants will be nothing next year after Spagnuolo leaves for Atlanta, then Atlanta will be nothing after he leaves for Arkansas.....
Ben (Loras College)
Crashed any weddings lately, Buzz?
Curtis (Baltimore)
I almost nunchucked you, you don't even realize
Buzz (Mobile, AL)
We want Henne! We want Henne! We want Henne!
Ben (Loras College)
Buzz, if your son was getting recruited by Bobby Petrino, would you let him go to Arkansas?
Buzzmaster (4:09 PM)
Yes.
Jeff (JC,KS)
do you post serious comments or just jokes
Buzzmaster (4:10 PM)
Clearly just jokes.
Sergio (Key West)
Buzz, any Idea why Mike Jenkins wasnt at the weigh-in?
Buzzmaster (4:11 PM)
Haven't heard why yet.
Jeff (JC,KS)
maybe I should call my mom to help get my comments on too
SprungOnSports (Long Island)
I wonder what would have happened if McFadden and Felix Jones stayed. Would their lives be ruined?
Ben (Loras College)
Who's been the most entertaining player thus far?
Buzzmaster (4:14 PM)
Like I said, Bowman.
JT (Louisville)
Where do you think Brian Brohm and Matt Ryan would end up in the draft?
Buzzmaster (4:17 PM)
They will probably both be high first rounders, top eight.
Ben (Loras College)
BRIAN BROHM FOR HEISMAN!!!! Oh wait...
Buzzmaster (4:17 PM)
Who would you guys want to start a team with? Brohm or Ryan?
Greg (Idaho)
I would take Matt Ryan over Brian Brohm in aheartbeat, Ryan took a bunch of below avg recievers and made them look like quality players.
Mike (AR)
Any chance Woodson falls out of the first round?
Buzzmaster (4:19 PM)
I mean he's projected at a mid first rounder and we saw what happened to Quinn, last year, so yes, there is a chance.
Pon (Jax, FL)
Brohm he got more challenges in 4 yrs.
Matt Ryan (Boston)
Brian Brohm
Jeff (JC,KS)
Matt Ryan anyday...more consistant
Walter (Baton Rouge)
Ryan, He showed me the most this year.
Ben (Loras College)
I think Brohm is better physically, but Ryan is more of a team motivator and leader--I'd definitely go with Matt Ryan.
Mike (AR)
Give me Brohm over Ryan.
Eddie (San Diego)
I get the same feeling about Matt Ryan that I got about Alex Smith when he was coming out. A solid but unspectacular QB, a quality leader and a quality person, but not exactly a franchise QB. Is that an unfair judgment?
Buzzmaster (4:20 PM)
You mean what Eli Manning may be right now?
J.R. (Raleigh)
Ryan. Stronger arm and played against better D's. Guy was clutch!
Jeff (Iowa)
Meg Ryan?
Jon (Massachusetts)
matt ryan, he didn't have anyone like a mario urrutia to throw to
Jerry (Jacksonville)
100% Matt Ryan, Brohm wasn't as good as Ryan with Harry Douglas and Mario Urrutia while Ryan did not have a WR near as good as those 2.
Jeff (JC,KS)
Woodson is middle rounder
Jason (tampa)
Brohm, he is the best qb his team was just terrible well his D. he had to score 40 a game to have a chance
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Pon are you serious? Brohm has Douglas and Urrutia, 2 WRs who will be drafted, Ryan had 0 WRs who will be drafted.
Peyton (Martinsville,Va.)
If Ryan had weapons @ he's dissposal he would have been even more dangerous this yr.
Daniel (EDM)
Ryan throws too many picks
JT (Louisville)
I would take Andre Woodson over Ryan
Jeff (JC,KS)
Can't teach Leadership and Brohm lacks that
Ben (Loras College)
Eli is the better Manning!!!! (This year, at least.)
Buzzmaster (4:22 PM)
I think the stats would disprove that...but hey he's in the Super Bowl.
Christian (High Point, NC)
This should be easy, right? Who needs to draft a QB in the first round? Oh, right, half the NFL. Never mind.
Eddie (San Diego)
Sure, but Eli Manning was definitely viewed as a franchise QB when he was coming out of Ole Miss. This is what he was expected to be. Congrats to him for finally coming of age.
Sam Bradford, Future Hesiman Winner(Oklahoma QB)
Yep, that's me.
Jeff (Iowa)
No, Ben, Eli will never be better than Peyton in any year.
Jeff (Iowa)
I think intangibles are more important in a QB than raw skill. For every athletic stud who comes in as a can't miss prospect, there's a guy like Garrard who is a great leader, fairly cool in the clutch, and can make those around him better. I know 6-5, 230 looks appealing, but give me a guy who will lead my team any day.
Priceless Pep talks (Indy)
Bummed about your Wide Receiver fumbling away a chance at defending your title?
Jeff (JC,KS)
Eli doesn't have to be better than Peyton...he's in the NFC...nuh said
Buzzmaster (4:28 PM)
Good point.
Matt (Tennessee)
What do you think about where Erik Ainge will be in the draft?
Buzzmaster (4:31 PM)
I think that is really hard to tell. You hate to be a guy who is labeled as an injury risk. But he does have a nice arm...I think a lot depends on this week and the combine.
Mike (AR)
I think Erik Ainge is the sleeper of this year's draft. He is one the smartest QBs I've seen all year.
Eddie (San Diego)
Great point. I would take the Chargers with legless Rivers and no LT over the Giants. I would also take the New England Patriots, Jax Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Pittsburgh Steelers over the Giants.
Jerry (Jacksonville)
It is time...for the Dungy press conference.
Sam (AZ)
Tony Dungy is returning, but only for 2008
Jeff (KC)
6-7 220 cant be all bad
Jeff (JC,KS)
Anige will probably end up in KC...They have a history of drafting avg SEC QB's
Zach, TX
NFL Network's Adam Scheffter already reported Dungy is back for 2008 only...
Brad (Carlisle, PA)
Could not have been more impressed with Ainge than I was watching their bowl game. Hadn't seen him much but liked what I saw a lot.
Melissa (Massachussetts)
What are your thoughts on Vernon Gholston? I know he's not a senior but many mocks have my Jets taking him in the first round
Buzzmaster (4:40 PM)
If I were the Jets I would look for some O-line help.
Jim Oh
If I were the Jets...I would give up, and concentrate on baseball (Yankees, Mets).
Brad (Carlisle, PA)
Yesss... my posts getting some garbage time minutes at the end of the chat. I'm the Brian Scalabrine of this chat!
Buzzmaster (4:46 PM)
Alright guys I think we may doing a little overtime.
Ricardo (Seal Beach, CA)
Hopefully we don't blow OT like the packers did
Russ (Dyersville)
OT!!!!!!!!! Who wins the coin toss Buzz??
Mike (AR)
We want the ball and we're going to score!
william (Navvare,Fl)
I hope that Andre Woodson slips to 14th!
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Hey Buzz are we going to see any players on here later.
Buzzmaster (4:52 PM)
Yeah, actually I was just talking to someone and if you guys can hang in there a little longer we are trying to get Jordy Nelson and Andre Woodson for today or tomorrow.
Alex (Louisville)
Andre Woodson is the best uk qb ever
Paul (tx)
hey buzz, i dont mean to be a pest, but do you think you can get limas on here. And if so, when.
Buzzmaster (4:56 PM)
I don't think it's possible today, but we should have him tomorrow.
Adam (OH)
NO GET VERNON GHOLSTON
Mike (AR)
Jordy Nelson is a very impressive WR.
Brad (Carlisle, PA)
Consider us hanging in...
Ben (Atlanta, GA)
Thanks, Buzzmaster. Paul is going to embark a three state killing spree now that he can't get Limas Sweed on today's chat. I hope you can live with the guilt.
Dwight K. Schrute (The Office)
Buzz, you do not look like you're being very productive. I deduct 10 Schrute bucks.
Peyton (Martinsville,Va.)
Jerad Lorenzen is the best UK QB ever, just because he was a 300 lbs QB. HUGE!!!
Dan (KY)
Gholston isnt there, not a senior
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Adam, Vernon Gholston is a JUNIOR, this is the SENIOR bowl. He is not there.
Buzzmaster (5:02 PM)
You Delware Blue Hens fans may want to check out the chat tonmorrow. Further details to come.
Ben (Dyersville)
Which one is coming first--Jordy or Andre?
Buzzmaster (5:02 PM)
Whoever showers faster after practice.
Russ (Dyersville)
Typo!!!! Buzz you should be fired!
Adam (Manhatta,KS)
JORDY IS THE MAN!!! Whoever drafts him will be very very happy.
Anthony G. (THE LC)
Buzz we can't stay here waiting much longer.....we do have other lives to lead....please hurry them up.
Buzzmaster (5:06 PM)
I know, I know.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
buzz, have you seen any of the alabama players?
Buzzmaster (5:07 PM)
I saw DJ Hall.
Danny (Seattle)
dude, what time does the chat come on tomorrow??????????????????????
Buzzmaster (5:07 PM)
We will start a little before Noon ET time.
Buzzmaster (5:08 PM)
Folks we have confinrmation on Joe Flacco. He will be chatting with us tomorrow, sometime around 12:45 p.m. ET.
Ben (Dyersville)
BEFORE noon?! What time? I don't want to miss the start!
Buzzmaster (5:09 PM)
Okay we'll start it exactly at Noon.
Ben (Dyersville)
While we're waiting, what's your favorite Mobile restaurant, Buzz?
Buzzmaster (5:11 PM)
I will answer that one at the end of the week. After I resample everything.
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Buzz who is your favorite ESPN personality?
Buzzmaster (5:13 PM)
Beano.
Buzzmaster (5:17 PM)
Okay guys, I am really sorry about this but we cannot get Jordy or Andre today.
Buzzmaster (5:18 PM)
But they should be here tomorrow for the early part of the chat between 12:30-1:30 p.m. ET.
James (IA)
Buzz = Killjoy
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
boo!!!!!!!!
Buzzmaster (5:19 PM)
I know, I deserve it. The good thing is, the teams practice at different times tomorrow so we can get more players in without big lulls in the chat.
Russ (Dyersville)
Lulls in chats = bad!
Dan (VA)
Buzz u r killin' me!
Will (Ann Arbor)
Who put you in charge! LOL
Buzzmaster (5:22 PM)
Hey you got to be able to adapt!
j.m. (tennessee)
As far as fabulous food in Mobile goes, you can't POSSIBLY pass up Felix's. The green beans are...so delicious....(drooling)
Buzzmaster (5:25 PM)
Also, Todd McShay will join us at 12:15 p.m. ET.
Local Jordy Nelson or Andre Woodson Supporter (Kansas or kentuck
Buzz you suck. I can't believe you couldn't get (insert prospect here) I stayed here when i should have been working yada yada
Tony (Wilmington)
Will Dan Connor be interviewed at all this week?
Buzzmaster (5:27 PM)
Yes he will.
Jerry (Jacksonville)
Isn't Jordy Nelson from KSU?
Josh (Denver)
Seriously, like any of our jobs are really that important
Russ (Dyersville)
Peace out Buzz, you disappointed me so much that I'm leaving SN for the day.
Buzzmaster (5:29 PM)
Hey man, even Buzz can let you down from time to time. Just going to comeback strong tomorrow...that made me sound like the old Eli Manning.
Dan (VA)
ZBIKOWSKI ?????
Buzzmaster (5:29 PM)
We have heard the cries for Tom, and he has been added to our most wanted chatters.
Ryan (Florida)
Will any USC players be interviewed this week?
Buzzmaster (5:31 PM)
Without a question. One-third of the North team seems to be SC guys!
Buzzmaster (5:33 PM)
Okay folks, we will have many more players on tomorrow, starting at Noon ET. Also, some of the guys from Scouts Inc. will jump on to answer all your draft questions. Enjoy the rest of MLK day, and see you all tomorrow!
