Chat with former USC CB Terrell Thomas
![]() |
Thomas, a 6-1, 200-pound, cornerback led the Trojans with four interceptions last season. He also was ninth on the team with 45 tackles and eighth with 4.5 tackles for loss. He also added one sack.
According to his Scouts, Inc. report
, Thomas "is the complete package physically. He is a big, fast shutdown cover corner at his best when working on an island one-on-one. Thomas has some extra value because of his experience at safety and covering kicks."
Send in your questions now, then join Thomas on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET!

Terrell Thomas (3:32 PM)
Terrell Thomas here from USC, the top CB in the draft. I am happy to take your questions if you have any!
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Terrel, Who was your fav. nfl player and team growing up?
Terrell Thomas (3:33 PM)
It was the Denver Broncos and Terrell Davis. One because of the name, and because I also played RB growing up.
Jovani Los Angeles, Ca
I know just being drafted is a great accomplisment. But is there any team that you personally like, that you would like to be drafted by??
Terrell Thomas (3:34 PM)
No really. Whether it is East or West it does not matter. Any team that drafts me is going to get a great CB and a great guy. So I'll just be happy to be in the NFL.
Daniel (Los Angeles, CA)
How do you feel you benefited from returning for your senior yeat at USC?
Terrell Thomas (3:35 PM)
It meant a lot. I learned a lot about leadership skills, and it also taught me how to overcome adversity when you are projected to win a National title. Overall it also helped me polish my game I feel I was more complete as a football player and was better able to shut down my side of the field.
Corey (Philadelphia)
Terrell, the Trojans are staying in the coliseum. What is your favorite thing about the coliseum?
Terrell Thomas (3:36 PM)
I love the student section. It is a sea of red there and they go crazy. I will never forget my last game there against UCLA.
Jason San Diego, CA
Terrell - what do you have to say to the people that consistently dis the pac10 saying it is not up to par with say, the SEC?
Terrell Thomas (3:37 PM)
I do not get into all that. We represent the Pac-10 well as do Oregon and all the other schools. It comes down to football. We have targets on our backs in the Pac-10, while other teams in the SEC or other conferences may not.
Los Angeles, CA
What tests do you think you will do best at over in Indy?
Terrell Thomas (3:38 PM)
I think I will test wqell at all the positon drills. There is a lot of competition at CB. But I am at API in Arizona and I think I will do well.
Tracy (Los Angeles)
congratulations on a great college career! what do you think will be your biggest challenge when you step onto an NFL field for the first time?
Terrell Thomas (3:40 PM)
Everyone is a pro and used to playing on Sunday and I will be a rookie. It will be a challenge to get my feet wet. It is going to be a good challenege getting used to the speed of the game. But it is still football.
Jim (Kansas)
when you switched to DB was there pro player you modeled your game after?
Terrell Thomas (3:41 PM)
It was a group of guys, from Ronnie Lot because I played a little safety in high school, Deion Sanders because of the swagger anf flair, and more recently Champ Bailey due to his overall athleticism.
Los Angeles, CA
Hey Terrell, what do you miss most about college and what are you looking forward to most about playing in the league?
Terrell Thomas (3:43 PM)
Right now I miss my teammates. We have a very strong bond, and I miss seeing them after class. But I look forward to the challenege of facing great players week in and week out and, of course, taking care of my family.
George (Los Angeles, CA)
How are you preparing mentally and physically for the combine next week?
Terrell Thomas (3:45 PM)
Like I said I am out in Arizona at the API program. So we have practiced the interview proccess and all the mental sides of the combine. But from a physical part they are preapring us as far as weightlifitng. I know this is the biggest job interview of my life, so we have been preparing hard both from a mental and physical standpoint.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
What drew you to attend USC?
Terrell Thomas (3:46 PM)
I wanted to stay close to home and be near my family. And of course the education, tradition and the talent that came in with my class. And it paid of with the titles.
Terrell Thomas (3:47 PM)
Keep looking out for me. I plan on being the best CB in the draft and having a great rookie year. And Thank you for all your support!
